This study examined importance and performance of urban agriculture education program of the trainees who attended urban agriculture education, and suggested reformation of urban agriculture instructor course of Gyeonggi Provincial Agricultural Research & Extension Services by IPA models. The investigation was done on October 7, 2011. The subject was 40 trainees of urban agriculture instructor course of Gyeonggi Provincial Agricultural Research & Extension Services. The study suggested reformation of urban agriculture education program based on the findings as follow: Firstly, the instructors should teach trainees not theoretically but practically to let the trainees make use of learning at urban agriculture. Secondly, teaching material that is not theoretically but practical enough to apply it to actual urban agriculture should be supplied. Thirdly, urban agriculture education should be done not theoretically but practically considering its characteristics. Theoretical contents have been already included in teaching material, and practice oriented education should be done to let trainees put theory into practice on-the-spot. Practice oriented education should be supported in the planning future education. In addition future urban agriculture education program should consider importance as well as practice of educational contents, lecturers, operations and facilities.

This study aims to investigate the farmer's educational performances Influencing educational satisfaction. In general, the goal of agricultural education is to increase farm performance such as income, sales and perceptions. A survey was used to collect data from 588 farmers to the country extension office. The results of the analysis are as follows. The variables that have a significant effect on satisfaction in this study are as follows. interaction between instructors and farmers, passion of instructors, effectiveness of lectures, educational support, and educational facilities. However, the adequacy of the lecture and the diversity of the contents of education did not explain the satisfaction variable. Discussions on the improvement of farmers' education were made by considering the rejected variables. In conclusion, farmers' education in the field should secure educational diversity. And farmer's education in RDA should develop a new curriculum. Farmer's education in RDA should further strengthen the informal learning.

The objectives of this study were 1) to investigate the important items affecting the farmers' education system, 2) to estimate their influences on the farmers' education and 3) to present the development directions of farmers education under the changing circumstances of localization. The major or results and implications were as follows. 1. The important items of farmers education were authority in organizing the agricultural extension agency, personnel management, finance, and inspection and audit. 2. The development directions of farmers education were such views as differenti-ation of educational functions of various levels extension organizations, extensionists' competence, developing programs corresponding with farmers needs, participation of farmers, and expanding the educational opportunity for urban-ites and the old generation, etc.

The purpose of this study was to criticize (through available documents) the lecture in English at colleges. It is necessary that a study of English is emphasized in the era of internationalization. But, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English without consideration of the purpose, principle, and philosophy of college's education needs reflective thinking. This study criticized four dimensions, in other words the effectiveness of lecture in English, criteria of internationalization and college's competition of lecture in English, social inequality of lecture in English, and the harmfulness in the value of Korean language of lecture in English. First, most researches expressed the indiscreet extension of lecture in English was not effective in both students and professors. Second, many scholars and agencies on the internationalization and college's competition excluded the lecture in English as criteria. Third, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English had the possibility of social inequality. And fourth, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English had harmfulness in the value of Korean language and Korean's thought. College's education is an ivory tower in society. So, colleges should discard the thought that extension of lecture in English is the best way. Colleges should keep the purpose, principle, and philosophy of college's education.

The study aims to examine the effects of job education on organizational socialization of new extensionist who is working in extension organization. The subjects were 425 people and selected nationwide. The research model consisted of organizational socialization strategy as an independent variable, organizational socialization as a mediator, and organizational commitment as a dependent variable. The research hypothesis was com posed of three item s and different analysis methods were used for each research problem. The main analytical methods were descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, the degree of organizational socialization was higher in males and females, in higher education, and in social workers than in non-males. Secondly, in the relationship between organizational socialization strategy and organizational socialization, job education significantly explained interpersonal relationship, organizational goal value, and work efficiency. Thirdly, job education has a statistically significant effectiveness on organizational commitment. Fourthly, in the relationship between job education and organizational commitment, organizational socialization variables such as interpersonal relationship, organizational goal value, and work efficiency were found to do a partial mediating roles.

This study was conducted to investigate the organizational climate of the agricultural extension education agencies and its influence on their educators` attitude toward job in Korea. The specific objectives of the study were 1) to identify the educators` perception of the organizational climate in the agricultural extension education agencies, and 2) to determine whether or not the educators` perception of the organizational climate influnce on their attitude toward job. Organizational climate has bees defined by many scholars as the properties of the social psychological environment perceived by organization members. There are various theoretical interpretations offered by die scholas about the effect of organizational climate upon organization members` behavior. Through a series of the theoretical reviews, this study could draw more than twenty variables in four types of organizational climate which might be perceived by the educators of agricultural extension education agencies and might influence upon their attitude toward job. The data were collected mainly through questionnaires sent to the responsible officers for administering the questionnaires for all adult educators of 30 agricultural extension education agencies randomly sampled from the population of 190 agencies. After data cleaning, a total of 629 responded questionnaires were analyzed for the study. The statistical methods used in the study were percentile, correlation, one way analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis. The two major findings of the study were as follows : 1. The organizational climate of agricultural extension education agencies were classified into four types : 1) democratic-autonomous, 2) cooperative-friendly, 3) achievement-oriented, and 4) bureaucratic-authoritarian. Among these of organizational climates, the cooperative-friendly one was most positively but the bureaucratic-authoritarian one was least positively perceived by the educators. 2. The educators` potion of the organizational climate and their attitude toward job were significantly correlated. The educators` perception of the organizational climate explained 41 percent of the variance of their attitude toward job in a multiple regression analysis In particular, the perception of the achievement oriented type of the organizational climates alone explained 34 percent of the variance of the favorable attitude.

The purpose of this study was to assess the rural women's general status in relation with low back pain. This survey was done after teaching them the prevention and treatment of low back pain with Meckenzie Method. 84 rural resident women including rural life guidance. The results were as follows. 1. The average age of rural were $35{\sim}50$ years old and the guidance's age were $21{\sim}25$ years old. The educational level of rural women were highest in primary school(46.67 %) and the home extension worker were college education(83.67 %). 2. 75 % of rural woman complained low back pain while 17.33 % of the home extension worker had back pain. 3. The home extension worker feel the necessity of the education in low back pain(100 %) while 88.89 % of the rural woman agreed. 4. All the rural women and the home extension worker had the concept of back pain and its prevention(100 %). 5. After this education, the confidence in prevention and treatment were each 78.79 % with rural women and 91.84 % with home extension worker. 6. The necessity for the treatment of low back pain were : first, the correction of posture, second, the activity posture correction, third, the supportive roll of back curve. 7. There were no statistical significant outcome specifically.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of leg extension exercises performed on outdoor resistance exercise machines on knee extension muscle strength and quadriceps muscle group cross sectional area (CSA) in elderly women. Two groups were recruited for this study, including an exercise group (EG: n=13, $71.38{\pm}2.79$ yrs) and a control group (CG: n=5, $73.4{\pm}5.94$), In all subjects, maximum isometric and isokinetic muscle strength of knee flexion and extension were measured using an isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex(R) Humac Norm Testing & Rehabilitation System, USA). Quadriceps muscle group CSA were measured using MRI (Philps, Intera 1.5 T, NE Netherlands). The results of this study showed that post-intervention isometric knee extension peak torque value were higher than pre-intervention measures in the EG. However, the EG did not show improvement in quadriceps muscle group CSA, Also, no differences in the shift of optimal knee joint angle were observed between pre and post-intervention exercise. Outdoor leg extension exercise showed small increases in muscle strength in comparison to other resistance training exercises. The results of this study suggest that because outdoor leg extension exercise machines lack a progressive loading mechanism, significant increases in muscle strength may not be obtained.

The purpose of this study is to identify professional development needs of Extension professionals and to evaluate competencies essential to be a successful Extension professional. For the purpose of this study, quantitative capacity data of extension professionals were collected from the survey instrument based on Extension Professional Evaluation Scale in Utah state university. Descriptive statistics, mean difference analysis, IPA(importance-performance analysis) analysis were used to analyze the data. The main results of the study are as follows. First, it is necessary to first reinforce education on specialized technical capacity among the three extension capacity areas. The current status of the professional capacity of extension professionals in the three areas was found to be at the average level, and the level of professional technical capacity was relatively low. In addition, the importance was evaluated that professional technology capacity is more important than the project development/evaluation capacity and communication capacity. Second, Second, in order to reinforce communication capacity, it is necessary to strengthen education on 'development of joint educational materials with colleagues'. Third, in order to reinforce project development/evaluation capacity, it is necessary to strengthen education on 'project planning'. In the IPA analysis results, the importance was high, but the capacity with relatively low performance were analyzed as 'project planning'. Fourth, in order to reinforce professional technical capacity, it is necessary to develop an education program for 'crop expertise' first. In the IPA analysis results, the importance was high, but the competencies with relatively low performance were analyzed as 'crop technology expertise'.
