The Study on Fashion Beauty Design and Emotional Image by External Image Type of Korean Male Idol Stars

  • This study is purposed to categorize external image types of Korean male idol stars, and to understand characteristics of fashion and beauty design for each type and through such, the study is meant to identify the various types of male image and to provide data of image making. As part of the empirical study, it selected well-known 15 groups of male idol stars who were active during February of 2008 and August of 2010, categorized the image types by their photographic data, and analyzed characteristics of fashion and beauty design for each type. In order to measure the degree of image types, a survey was also conducted. The image types of male idol stars, which were classified through a workshop by a group of image-related experts, were categorized with 6 types that are Elite, Urban Chic, Charisma, Rebellious child, Toy boy, and Homme Fatale. The six types of male idol stars have a great relation with the modern male trends and images, and that the male idol stars have been leading the trends and presenting the image by the public preference. In addition, as shown the above, the recent male image appears as a mixed image of femininity and masculinity, showing a complex aspect that does not dominates with one image, and that it was found out to constantly be changing in the flow of times.

  • Although Korean first ladies are not very big in changes in their hair style, American first ladies have greatly influenced clothing as well as hair style, exercising their influence over the apparel industry and fashion. Historically, American first ladies' fashion tastes have been on the center of attention and taken the lead in fashion. Although Korea first ladies' hair style are not very new or sensible enough to lead the fashion among the public, they have a sense of fashion and some influence on women of the upper classes. Beauty artists creating first lady hair style are representative of the times and have great value to the research. However, this study will not concentrate on their research. This study will analyze Korea first ladies' hair style, examine hair design and hair technique in fashion in those days. This study intends to provide important materials for Korean beauty history that has not been established by systematically arranging fashion style in the times analyzed through first ladies' hair style. Also, this study aims at researching in the aspect of beauty aesthetic concept through analyzing Korea first ladies' hair style.

융(Jung)의 아니마(Anima) 원형에 따른 남성 뷰티스타일 연구 - 남성 화장품 광고를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Male Beauty Style according to the Anima Archetype of Jungian Theory - Focusing on Men's Cosmetic Advertisements -)

  • The traditional masculinity has been gradually diversified towards the 21th century due to a new social environment. Men embrace his feminine side with heightened aesthetic sense using cosmetic products for better skin, hair, and nails. This diversification of male image and his beauty style proves the addition of feminity to masculinity. C. G. Jung felt that we are all really bisexual in nature. The anima is the female aspect present in the collective unconscious of men and it is the archetype through which we communicate with the collective unconscious generally, and it is important to get into touch with it for self-realization. This study analyzes subconscious desire based on the anima archetype in the collective unconscious of men through the diversity of the gender identity shown in men's cosmetic advertisements, and therefore it aim to help developing a marketing strategy of male beauty industry in the future. For this purpose, it conducted an empirical analysis of male beauty style in cosmetic advertisements through the Jungian anima theory. The conclusion of this study is as follows: First, gender identity represented in cosmetic advertisements was typified as Retrosexual, Ubersexual, Metrosexual, Cross sexual. Second, the anima archetype stimulates feminity in male beauty style. Cross sexual type has the highest feminine tendency. Third, range of utilization of cosmetic products is articulated with the diverse gender identity. Cross sexual type is most similar to the female beauty style. This feminization of male beauty style is the external expression of collective unconscious and affords human being to reach self-realization.

K-뷰티(K-Beauty) 검색량이 수출과 관광에 미치는 영향: Google과 YouTube 검색 데이터 분석을 중심으로 (The Impact of K-Beauty Search Volumes on Export and Tourism: Based on the Google Search and YouTube Page View)

  • 본 연구는 한류를 이끌어갈 새로운 성장 동력으로써 K-뷰티(K-Beauty)의 경제적 영향력을 파악하고자 하였다. K-뷰티 콘텐츠가 주로 온라인을 기반으로 확산된다는 점을 고려하여 K-뷰티에 대한 관심과 관여도를 파악할 수 있는 변수로 검색 빅데이터에 주목하였다. 이에 2008년부터 2016년까지 9년간 K-뷰티에 대한 웹 검색량과 유튜브 검색량을 독립변수로, 화장품 수출액과 외래관광객 수를 종속변수로 설정하였으며 GDP와 국가 거리를 통제변수로 하는 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, K-뷰티 관련 구글 웹 검색량은 통제변인의 영향 유무와 관계없이 화장품 수출액에 정적인 영향을 미치며, 외래관광객 수에도 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 유튜브 검색량은 화장품 수출액에는 정적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 외래관광객 수에는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 신한류 콘텐츠로서 K-뷰티에 대한 영향력을 검증하고 웹 검색량과 유튜브 검색량이 경제적 지표에 미치는 영향력을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 기반으로 향후 K-뷰티 홍보 방안에 대한 전략에 대해 논하였다.

  • In this paper, we studied into a qualitative research to see mathematical understanding of preschool and kindergarten's teachers such as feeling attitude, parents' concern, difficulty of math teaching in kindergarten field, teacher's role, type of feed back, beauty of math, relationship of real life, and self philosophy of math education. We selected 10 teachers whose career was 7~10 years. Because this research way is qualitative, we can new aspect that teacher want to break their ignorance for math. Moreover, they would like to learn about math practicality, application, and beauty from art in professional training. Therefore we assert that fusion math lecture would support in the professional training for teacher, preschool or kindergarten's president training, and remuneration training.

꽃의 형태미를 응용한 의상디자인 연구 - 난(Orchid) 모티프를 중심으로 - (The Study of Costume Design Applying the Shape Beauty of Flower - Concentrating on the Orchid Motif -)

  • The purpose of this study lies in pursuing the unique plastic arts with the orchid motif which has the graceful colors and a variety of shapes beauty. Another aspect of this study intends to crease the modern costume design with the high added value by expressing the texture according to the material and tissue development for the continual improvement and promotion of the modern costume design in the handicraft art area. The results through the theoretical survey and the work production are as follows : First, the orchid which has the various shapes and colors provides the designers with the unique plastic arts and the possibilities for the unlimited expressions as the design motives. Second, we can see the creation of cubic plastic beauty in the moving line, as the material which has the flexible and brilliant shape fixation, used for expressing the shape beauty of the orchid. Third, this study reveals the extension of expression areas as a characteristic of the plastic arcs by applying handicraft techniques such as dyeing, corded tuck, flounce, crochet, weaving, beads embroidery, and art flower to the costumes for developing the unique material and texture. Finally, the possibility is suggested that the desires of the moderns searching for their own individualities can be met by creating the costumes with the added vague as the exposure of esthetic consciousness through the handicraft expression techniques.

  • We have lost our true characteristics without being grown and development of our traditional beauty in state of drawing into a whirlpool as the environment of western cultrue. So, to be existed for self-sown capability of our traditional culture, we'll have to keep up with the unique and creative Korean traditional furniture design through the synchloization between 'Traditionalism in our already westernized life' and 'Korean identity in our already westernized life' and 'Korean identity in worldwide culture' based on independent position by correct view of worth, as for the escape from attitude of receive on western culture in recklessnese. Hereupon, first of all, after reviewof fornuclation backround and characteristics in traditional furniture to be established by an ancestor, based on this and extract the conceptual language, it was presented past published works as for the approaching method toward physical form aspect by use of pattern of modern access method. Secondly, it was the symbolic approaching from method based on traditional and cultural context. Gradually, the embodiment of traditional image, in today's features of our furniture loosing the particular cultural identify is very important aspect, and beside above mentioned two methods, it should be investigated as for the diversified approaching study. Thereafter, we'll have to establish the positionof our modern furniture in global wordwide, for seek the beauty being interrelated form past historical communications, under the circumstance of original and future-oriented value.

메이크업의 하이브리드 특성 연구 - 보그(Vogue)지를 중심으로 - (A Study of the Hybrid Characteristics of Make-up - Focusing on Vogue Magazine -)

  • In the rapid development of science, technology, information, cultural industry during the 21st century, hybridity is consistently shown in which different techniques, systems, and sorts in society, industry, culture, and art are combined. The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative characteristics of hybrid make-up that is shown in the field of make-up as a practical art reflecting society and culture of a specific period, to understand the tendencies of modern make-up, and to present data for predicting changes in the future. According to the results of this study, the hybrid characteristics of make-up indicate as follows. First, hybrid make-up at a timely aspect in which senses transcending times by mixed expression of traditional classicism and modernism coexist and mingled, Characteristics of hybrid make-up at a local aspect are shown in one make-up by expressing modern tendencies that break from homogeneity, uniformity, and concentration as interests in other cultures and borrowing them in modern images. Also in modern period, characteristics of hybrid make-up at a cultural aspect are shown by mixed expression of conflicting cultural factors such as modern beauty of cutting-edge technology, female & male, and elegance & activeness in one makeup. Within the multiplex, modern social system in this period of cutting-edge technology, "tendency of hybrid design" as a social, cultural phenomenon is shown to be a complex, new designing tendency due to mixture and deconstruction of various genres. Hybrid make-up, seeking diversification and open-mindedness, is predicted to be consistently developed owing to infinite materials of design, being expected to be stronger and newer in the future.

이상적인 인체미 구현을 위한 복식 디자인의 착시효과 - 고대 이집트 시대부터 낭만주의 시대까지 - (Optical illusions in Clothing Form Designs for the Ideal Beauty of Human bodies - from the Ancient Egypt to the Romantic Period -)

  • The purpose 7f this study is to investigate the change of the ideal beauty of human bodies and the related clothing form designs from the ancient Egypt to the Romantic Period in the aspect of optical illusions effects to achieve the ideal beauty so that we can accumulate the knowledges for the modern clothing form design and the related optical illusion effects. The scope of this study is limited to the female body forms and female dress forms. The analysis on the optical illusions in the dress forms of the various period relied on the literatures and some representative photographs and figures. The important results are as follows : 1. In the body Priority type designs of Egypt, Greece and Rome, the natural Beauty of human bodies was represented by H type silhouett, the smooth and transparent drapery materials were used with radiant line pleats resulting in slant optical illusions. 2. In the clothing priority type designs of Byzantine, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Romantic Period, manteau, cotehardie, hennin and poulain were used to emphasize long arms and legs, high waists, belly curves and large heads resulting in optical illusions of vertical emphasize. Also long train, farthingale and panier were used to emphasize body expansion resulting in the optical illusions of Titchener alld Lipps. Large and complex patterns showed the optical illusions of Aubert. 3. In the clothing priority/body concealment type of Byzantine period, thick materials with precious gems and voluminous silhouettes were used to emphasize body expansion resulting in optical illusions of materials.

동선을 이용한 헤어아트 조형성 연구 (A Study on Formative Characteristics of Hair Art Using the Copper Wire)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate unique field of formative characteristics using copper wire, the present thesis aims at developing concept of hair art as a creative way, and recognizing the formative characteristics of copper wire as analyze and arrange the concept of hair art, formative, a way of practical application, material aspect, through literature, academic journals, photo data, and researched about prior piece, for example, architecture and costume with hair art, and then pieces of hair art were made. Influenced by the theory, applied the social phenomenon and the formative principles, produced the seven pieces which includes flying, composure, yahoo, harmony, balance, way, spring etc. The results of this research are outlined below. Firstly, It showed that the copper wire can express the mysterious and beautiful formative world, and it could know the possibility of design. Secondly, formative activity using copper wire can differ according to approach and interpretation, and it can be a works with aesthetic value. Thirdly, hair could be express the art of the three-dimensional forms which constitute the mixture of line, surface and space. Fourthly, the handicraft including beading, pleat, piping, rolling that used for works are proper to express the unique formative and the rich colors, and it can also express the transparency. So it showed that copper wire is a proper materials. So, hair art has enlarged the fields with development of technique, and changed to recognition of the hair art, and opened up a new field. Hair art will be positive fields to maximize the possibility, and not only the beauty artist but also the public will be communicate each other.
