The Situational, Clinical and Psychosocial Factors Related to Treatment-Seeking Behavior Among Those with Acute Myocardial Infarction (심근경색증 환자의 상황적, 임상적 요인 및 사회심리적 요인과 치료추구행위에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of situational, clinical and psychsoical factors on treatment-seeking behavior among those with acute myocardial infarction(AMI). This study used a retrospective, descriptive design. The sample consisted of 72 patients aged over 30 and who were diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction at two large university-affiliated medical centers from July 1, 1998 to March 30, 2000. But of 72, patients 5 who were an outlier in treatment-seeking time were deleted. Data were collected by using questionnaires, which included demographic data, situational, clinical and psychosocial data. Also patient interviews and chart review were used to obtain information related to treatment-seeking time. The results of this study were summarized as follows ; 1. Mean time from the onset of AMI symptoms to arrival at the hospital was $12.09{\pm}11.44$ hours; 2. Treatment-seeking time was not significantly different by age, gender, or education; 3. Most(44 or 65.78%) patients were at home when they began having AMI symptoms. The remaining patients were either in a public area, workplace or in a car. Patients at home delayed longer than those who had their first symptoms elsewhere, but not significantly different. Also, most patients were with another person when they began to experience AMI symptoms: a spouse(25 or 37.3%), other family member(31 or 46.3%); the remaining 11 were alone. There were no significant differences in treatment-seeking time based on whether alone or with others. Most patients(46 or 68.7%) used an ambulance rather than taking private transportation, and patients who used an ambulance were delayed longer than those who used private transportation, but there were no significant differences; 4. Time to treatment-seeking was not significantly different by blood pressure, heart rate on admission and the peak CK-MB, CPK and Cholesterol level, Killips class; 5. There were no significant statistical differences in treament-seeking times by anxiety level, mood status or control ability.

  • In this paper, we present a radiation compensation method and experiment method for two-dimensional direction finding by elevation and azimuth angles of broadband GPS signal, and then produce experimental results. Previous studies have performed direction finding by only using the azimuth angle of the detected signal. So, the compensation table utilizes compensation data by azimuth angles only. However, the presented method in this study has compensation data by azimuth and elevation angles for two-dimensional direction finding. Because of direction finding systems and applications are diversified, recently. So, we present a two-dimensional radiation compensation method. For evaluation of the presented compensation method, we calculate the ideal phase differences on the antenna for two-dimensional direction finding and simulate phase differences using a FEKO EM simulator. Subsequently, we analyze experimental data by radiation compensation experiments using the presented compensation method in an anechoic chamber.

A New Multi-Beam MVDR Technique for Removing Interference Signals in Array Antenna Based GPS Receivers (GPS 수신기에서 간섭신호 제거를 위한 배열 안테나 기반 다중 빔 MVDR 기법)

  • GPS (global positioning system) is a popular system that provides location information by measuring arrival time difference at the receiver between several GPS satellite signals. GPS is widely used in commercial area as well as military systems. Reliable GPS signal reception is more important in the military applications such as guided missiles. However, since the carrier frequencies of the GPS signals are well known and the received power is extremely low, the GPS systems are vulnerable to intentional jamming attacks. To remove jammers while maintaining GPS signals at the received signals, a popular technique is an adaptive beam steering method based on array antenna. Among adaptive beam steering techniques, this paper considers MVDR (minimum variance distortionless response) algorithm, and proposes a new adaptive technique that preserves the received signals at desired directions, but removes the unknown jamming signals adaptively. The performance of the proposed method is verified through computer simulation.

  • With increasing chronic patients due to population aging, many needs for pro-active health and medical treatment services are rising and desire for health care service is also rising due to national standard of living Especially population aging of Korea is faster than America, France and many other advanced nations, and a study states that arrival time of elderly population rates; 14%(aged society) to 20%(transcendental aged society)l only takes 8 years. In these reasons, health care industry for the next engine industry is reinforced. Many health care terminals are coming out and Continua Health Alliance is founded and working steadily based on Philips in 2006. In this paper, we suggest Gateway interface system for Continua accreditation to control vary communication by designing intelligent health care interface suitable for Continua international accreditation because there are many types of terminals and communication protocols.

Study on the Hybrid HRN Algorithm for Efficient Elevator Boarding Considering the Users' Waiting Time (사용자의 효율적인 엘리베이터 탑승 대기시간을 위한 Hybrid HRN Algorithm 연구)

  • Currently, the Collective Control Algorithm is the most popular elevator algorithm. The Collective Control Algorithm allows the user to use the elevator when the direction of movement of the elevator and the direction of the user's destination are the same. However, the algorithm has a problem in that only one elevator responds to a user's call when the user's waiting time and using multiple elevators. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new hybrid HRN algorithm based on the highest response ratio next (HRN) algorithm. In general, HRN Algorithm requires a user's boarding time and getting off time, but due to the nature of the elevator, it is difficult to predict the user's call in advance. Therefore, to overcome these limitations, this paper proposes Hybrid HRN Algorithm that considers the distance between the user's call location and the arrival location. This paper shows that Hybrid HRN Algorithm, proposed through experiments, has an average waiting time of 23.34 seconds, a standard deviation of 11.86, a total moving distance of 535.2m, a total operating time of 84sec, and a driving balance between the two elevators is 92m, which is superior to the previously suggested Collective Control, Zoning, and 3-Passage Algorithm.

Progress and Activation Strategies of Information Service in the School Library (학교도서관의 정보서비스 전개 방향과 활성화 전략)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze status of information service and to suggest its activation strategies after establishing its category in the school library. As a result of establishing scope and contents of information service, materials of information offering and guide are converged on reading education and information literacy curriculum integrated subjects. But the arrival rate of information service is very low like 48.2% under the 2012 Korean Libraries' Management Evaluation. It is especially poor to raise self resilience and school participation of students with information service involved in the affective domain such as readers' advisory service and bibliotherapy. In order to activate its information service, there is an urgent need for systems improvement in placement of the teacher librarian. It is also necessary to reinforce the status of information literacy instruction under the nation-level curriculum and continuous base expansion as a core information service of the school library. Service development for readers' advisory service and bibliotherapy is also needed to contribute to solving problem and stress situation of the student. The school library has to make an effort to connect its information service with local communities for the school community.

Access Frequency Based Selective Buffer Cache Management Strategy For Multimedia News Data (접근 요청 빈도에 기반한 멀티미디어 뉴스 데이터의 선별적 버퍼 캐쉬 관리 전략)

  • In this paper, we present a new buffer pool management scheme designed for video type news objects to build a cost-effective News On Demand storage server for serving users requests beyond the limitation of disk bandwidth. In a News On Demand Server where many of users request for video type news objects have to be serviced keeping their playback deadline, the maximum numbers of concurrent users are limited by the maximum disk bandwidth the server provides. With our proposed buffer cache management scheme, a requested data is checked to see whether or not it is worthy of caching by checking its average arrival interval and current disk traffic density. Subsequently, only granted news objects are permitted to get into the buffer pool, where buffer allocation is made not on the block basis but on the object basis. We evaluated the performance of our proposed caching algorithm through simulation. As a result of the simulation, we show that by using this caching scheme to support users requests for real time news data, compared with serving those requests only by disks, 30% of extra requests are served without additional cost increase.

Investigation of microbial contamination in meal kit products purchased via online shopping (온라인에서 구매한 밀키트 제품의 미생물 오염도 조사)

  • In this study, the delivery conditions and microbial contamination in Mille-feuille Nabe and fresh spring roll meal kits purchased online were assessed. The average surface temperature on the product arrival was 14.4℃. The average number of total aerobic bacteria and coliforms in Mille-feuille Nabe was 3.27 log CFU/g and 1.27 log CFU/g, respectively, in meat, and 6.66 log CFU/g and 2.94 log CFU/g, respectively, in vegetables. The average number of total aerobic bacteria and coliforms in fresh spring rolls was 3.82 log CFU/g and 1.93 log CFU/g in meat, and 5.62 log CFU/g and 3.31 log CFU/g in vegetables, respectively. Escherichia coli was detected in bok choy and perilla leaves, with an average of 0.86 log CFU/g. Salmonella spp. and E. coli O157:H7 were not detected in any of the samples; however, Listeria monocytogenes was detected in all three beef samples. Therefore, before consuming meal kits, sufficient washing and heating are recommended to prevent occurrences of food poisoning.

  • The 4th industrial revolution technology is developing people's lives more efficiently. GIS provided on the Internet services such as traffic information and time information makes people getting more quickly to destination. National geographic information service(NGIS) and each local government are making basic data to investigate SOC accessibility for analyzing optimal point. To construct the shortest distance, the accessibility from the starting point to the arrival point is analyzed. Applying road network map, the starting point and the ending point, the shortest distance, the optimal accessibility is calculated by using Dijkstra algorithm. The analysis information from multiple starting points to multiple destinations was required more than 3 steps of manual analysis to decide the position for the optimal point, within about 0.1% error. It took more time to process the many-to-many (M×N) calculation, requiring at least 32G memory specification of the computer. If an optimal proximity analysis service is provided at a desired location more versatile, it is possible to efficiently analyze locations that are vulnerable to business start-up and living facilities access, and facility selection for the public.
