재조합 리보솜 단백질 L7/L12을 이용한 개 브루셀라병의 진단 (Diagnosis of canine brucellosis using recombinant ribosomal protein L7/L12)

  • Brucella (B.) canis is mainly transmitted by direct or indirect contact with aborted fetuses and placenta. It's also known to be able to infect human, which likely results in providing veterinarians and companion animal owners for infectious risk. To develop diagnostic ELISA, we cloned and expressed rp1L gene of B. canis, which encodes the ribosomal protein L7/L12. Using this purified recombinant protein, indirect-ELISA (iELISA) was evaluated using 78 positive and 44 negative sera. The sensitivity and the specificity of iELISA were 94% and 89%, respectively. The results indicated that indirect-ELISA using recombinant ribosomal protein L7/L12 may be useful for diagnosis of canine brucellosis.

Survey of bovine norovirus infections from diarrheic calves in South Korea, 2015-2017

  • This study examined complex infections with various enteropathogens and the genetic diversity of bovine norovirus (BNoV) in 932 fecal samples from diarrheic calves in South Korea. Overall, seventeen (1.8%) of the samples tested positive for BNoV following RT-PCR examination. All BNoV-positive samples were co-infected with other intestinal pathogens, including bovine Rotavirus, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and Escherichia coli. The genetic diversity of the BNoVs shared high nucleotide identity (98.1-99.5%) and amino acid homology (93.5-98.1%) with genotype 2 BNoV (GIII.2) strains. In conclusion, BNoV infections with GIII genotypes were detected in complex infections of diarrheic calves in South Korea.

  • 본 연구를 통해 제주도에서 채집된 포충나방과의 Charitoprepes (Warren)에 속하는 1종, Charitoprepes lubricosa (Warren)을 우리나라에 처음으로 보고한다. 이들의 외부형태적 특징 및 종 동정에 필요한 성충과 수컷 생식기 이미지를 함께 제시한다.

Genetic characterization of H9N2 avian influenza virus previously unrecognized in Korea

  • In this study, we describe the isolation and characterization of previously unreported Y280-lineage H9N2 viruses from two live bird markets in Korea in June 2020. Genetic analysis revealed that they were distinct from previous H9N2 viruses circulating in Korea and had highest homology to A/chicken/Shandong/1844/2019(H9N2) viruses. Their genetic constellation showed they belonged to genotype S, which is the predominant genotype in China since 2010, where genotype S viruses have infected humans and acted as internal gene donors to H5 and H7 zoonotic influenza viruses. Active surveillance and control measures need to be enhanced to protect the poultry industry and public health.

소 브루셀라병 동시 다두 발생 농장의 발생 요인 조사 (Investigation of occurrence factors on brucellosis-outbreak farm in Korea)

  • From the end of July 2012, several cases of abortion have been happened at the Korean indigenous cattle farm with 124 heads in Chungbuk province, Korea. Serological tests such as Rose-bengal test (RBT) and standard tube agglutination test (STAT) have been performed according to the standard official protocols of bovine brucellosis and 41 cattle turned out to be brucellosis-positive simultaneously. To find out the main factors of brucellosis outbreaks and spreads, additional serological, etiological and molecular investigation were applied. Totally, 11 B. abortus were isolated from 10 cattle's specimens including lymph-nodes and/or testis, and drinking water in cowhouse. In genotyping by multi-locus VNTR assay (MLVA) using 17 loci markers, the present B. abortus isolates were shown all the same pattern, D1 genotype, which has been reported in Gyeonggi and Gangwon province, Korea. These results suggest that the input of brucellosis might come from neighboring farms directly or indirectly, even if by unknown factor and expansion within farm would accelerate by materials related with aborting cows.

  • 인터넷 등의 전산망을 통한 정보관련 서비스는 여러 가지 보안 취약점에 노출되어 해커들의 주요 공격 대상이 되고, 특히 WWW 관련 서비스는 불특정 다수를 대상으로 하기 때문에 접근 통제방식으로 어려움이 많고, 최근 많이 사용되는 방화벽이나 기타 보안도구를 이용하여 보안 수준을 높일 수가 없다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 해커들이 공격 가능한 취약점들을 분석하여 해커들의 공격을 사전 방지하고, 올바른 해킹방지 대책를 수립할 수 있는 전산망 취약점 원격 진단시스템 모델을 제시하고, 이에 대한 설계 및 구현내용을 설명한다.
