  • The incredible progress of information and communication technology has allowed various information and communication services to emerge in the Web environment. Such a service is initiated when the user provides his/her personal information to the service provider and is then given an identifier and authentication data. A series of the processes is inconvenient as it requires authentication by the service provider each time that the user requests the service. Furthermore, as the user subscribes to more services, the volume of ID and authentication information increases. This compels the users to use an ID that is easy to remember or to register the same ID over and over, increasing the risk of ID hacking. It is clear that such threats will become more serious as our lives become more dependent upon the Internet and as the Internet service environment advances. With the introduction of different services, the need to efficiently manage ID has been raised. In this paper, a Internet Identity Management Service that enables the control of the flow of the user’s personal information, which is used and stored for the Internet service, is proposed from the user's perspective.

  • At present, naked-eye 3D appears more and more commonly on the facades of urban buildings. It brings an incredible visual experience to the audience by simulating the natural 3D 3D space effect. At the same time, it also creates enormous commercial value for city publicity and commercial advertisements. There is much research on naked-eye 3D visual effects, but for right-angle LED screens. Right-angle LED screen's brand-new expression method that has only become popular in recent years, how to convey a realistic naked-eye 3D effect through two LED screens combined at right angles has become a problem worth exploring. To explore the whole design ideas and production process of the naked-eye 3D impact of the right-angle LED screen, this paper is a preliminary study aimed at understanding the performance principle and expression features. Before the case analysis, first, understand the standard virtual 3D space construction techniques. Combining it with the optical illusion phenomenon, according to the expression principle of the naked-eye 3D effect of the right-angle LED screen, it can be summarized into seven expressions: Shadow, Color contrast, Background structure line, Magnify object, Object out of bounds, Object floating, Fusion of picture and background. By analyzing the optical illusion phenomenon used in the case, we summarized the main performance characteristics of the naked eye 3D effect. The emergence of right-angle LED screens breaks the limitation of a single plane of optical illusion art, perfectly combines building facades with naked-eye 3D visual effects, and provides designers with a brand-new creative platform. Understanding its production principles and main expressive features can help designers enter this innovative platform better.

  • So how can we develop balanced growth in our country? The national development policy of our hovemment over the past 30 years has lead to the corpulence of Seoul at the expense of the provinces. Now ironically there are policy measures introduced to control the over-expansion of Seoul. Yet the current hardware stategies to control the center requires an additional sofware stategy to create a nationwide balance for development. The Regional Elite Quota System is one such sofware stategy which can adjust the unbalanced distribution of gifted student across the national university deucation system. One obvious solution that should be utillzed is the incredible enthusiasm for high education that exists in this country, perhaps the highest in the world. This has been the backbone of our national development and should be hamessed as a catalyst to produce more balanced national growth.

  • The structural design of offshore installations against explosions has been required to protect vital areas (e.g. control room, worker's area etc.) and minimize the damage from explosion accidents. Because the explosion accident will not only result in significant casualties and economic losses, but also cause serious pollution and damage to surrounding environment and coastal marine ecosystems. Over the past two decades, an incredible efforts was made to develop reliable methods to reduce and manage the explosion risk. Among the methods Quantitative Risk Assessment and Management (QRA&M) is the one of cutting-edge technologies. The explosion risk can be quantitatively assessed by the product of explosion frequency based on probability calculation and consequence analyzed using computer simulations, namely Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). However to obtain reliable consequence analysis results by CFD and FEA, uncertainties associate with modeling and simulation are needed to be identified and validated by comparison with experimental data. Therefore, large-scaled explosion test procedure is developed in this study. And developed test procedure can be helpful to obtain precious test data for the validation of consequence analysis using computer simulations, and subsequently allow better assessment and management of explosion risks.

  • For four decades now KEPCO has experienced an incredible growth rate of over 10% per year in each year. This growth led to the fast development of new facilities, especially in the transmission systems field, and we also managed to gain an enormous amount of experience and technology in the construction and design. With this experience and technology we curbed the electricity demand. Experts now predict that we will enter a new phase in which our growth rate will stagnate and eventually level off. This isn't what KEPCO or any company wants. We are looking for continued growth. In the last decade KEPCO began selling its technology in the generation sector of the electricity business to overseas markets. Sales in the generation sector have been a great success. This decade marks another milestone for KEPCO as overseas sales in the transmission sector began. Our first project, "Myanmar Power System Development Study" and its subsequent successful completion gave us the ammunition necessary to expand in this line of business. This success has also given birth to this paper. KEPCO is still the People's company, but with a new vision. It now hopes to not only sustain a high growth level but to also increase the growth of domestic companies by sharing with them a piece of the proverbial pie, as it ventures forth to be a Global player on the international stage.

  • Camel milk has a significant and pivotal role in the diet of people residing in semi-arid and arid regions. Ever since ancient times, marketing of camel milk has remained insignificant due to nonexistence of processing amenities in the camel nurturing areas, hence the utilization of unprocessed camel milk has continuously remained limited at family level by the nomads. Due to the superior medicinal values and health promoting effects, incredible growth in the demand of camel milk and dairy products have been noticed all over the world during last two decades. Such emergence has led dairy industry to provide diversified camel dairy products to the consumers with superior nutritional and functional qualities. In contrast to bovine, very few food products derived from camel milk are available in the present market. With the advancements in food processing interventions, a wide range of dairy and non-dairy products could be obtained from camel milk, including milk powder, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, and even chocolate. In some regions, camel milk is used for traditional dishes such as fermented milk, camel milk tea, or as a base for soups and stews. Current review highlights the processing opportunities regarding the transformation of camel milk into various dairy products via decreasing the inherent functionality that could be achieved by optimization of processing conditions and alteration of chemical composition by using fortification method. Additionally, future research directions could be devised to improve the product quality.

  • The filamentous cyanobacterium Anabaena is capable of both photosynthesis and nitrogen fixation which probably facilitated its incredible adaptation and proliferation in freshwater environments. A small gene, patS, was found to block nitrogen fixing cells from developing which resulted in death of Anabaena in the absence of combined nitrogen sources. We analyzed the DNA sequences in the vicinity of the patS gene by using a codon usage program and detected no codon bias other than the patS open reading frame. Three overlapping cosmids that contain the patS gene were identified, and the presence of other known heterocyst-controlling genes was examined. The patS expression in response to nitrogen starvation was analyzed at the level of transcription and translation by using Northern blot analyses and lacZ-reporter-gene fusion experiments, respectively. The patS expression increased rapidly (within 12 hours) upon the removal of combined nitrogen from the media.

  • JC Raulston Arboretum of the North Carolina State University houses 113 species of Korean native landscape woody plants. Styrax japonicus 'Emerald Pagoda'[formerly 'Sohuksan'] is native to Korea, China, and Japan. 'Emerald pagoda' is a special cultivar found by DR. J.C. Raulston during the United States National Arboretum plant collection expedition of the island of Sohuksan at the Western end of the Korea in 1985. Incredible, thick, glossy, large-leafed form of this beautiful white flowering tree found in Korea in 1985. It was probably the most outstanding ornamental plant to come from the expedition after his trip to Sohuksan and Chindo in the harsh perilous islands of the coast of Korea. He brought this one back in his suitcase. Viburnum awabuki 'Chindo' is and evergreen broadleaf shrub. It is for screening and as fire resistant trees in the southern region of Korea, because of its compact, leathery leaves. 'Chindo' was discovered on the island of Chindo by the U.S. National arboretum plant exploration team including J.C. Raulston during its 1985 Korean trip. Cuttings were taken from this plant, and liners were produced over subsequent years. These liners are now being evaluated for hardiness and fruit production throughout the Southeast of USA.

  • Paederia foetida L. is an important medicinal plant that has been used for the treatment of various gastrointestinal related ailments by different tribal communities in India. This plant is also known for its use as a food. Due to overexploitation, P. foetida has been classified as a vulnerable plant in some states of India. The propagation of P. foetida by conventional methods is easy but very slow. Synthetic seed technology offers incredible potential for in vitro propagation of threatened and commercially valuable plants, and can also facilitate the storage and exchange of axenic plant material between laboratories. However, synthetic seed production for P. foetida has not yet been reported. Thus, to the best of our knowledge, the present study is the first attempt to produce synthetic seeds of P. foetida by calcium alginate encapsulation of in vitro regenerated axenic nodal segments. Sodium alginate (3%) and CaCl2 (100 mM) were found to be the optimal materials for the preparation of ideal synthetic seeds, both in terms of morphology and germination ability. The synthetic seeds showed the best germination (formation of both shoot as well as root; 83.3%) on ½ MS medium augmented with 0.5 mg/L indole-3-acetic acid. The plantlets obtained from these synthetic seeds could be successfully acclimatized under field conditions. We also studied the storage of these synthetic seeds at low temperature and their subsequent sprouting/germination. The seeds showed a germination rate of 63.3% even after 21 days of storage at 4 ℃; thus, they could be useful for transfer and exchange of P. foetida germplasm.

  • Flexible electronics have been to the fore because it is believed that flexibility can add incredible value such as light weight and mobility into the existing electronic devices and create new markets of large-area and low-cost electronics such as wearable eletronics in near future. Offset printing processes are regarded as major candidates for manufacturing the flexible electronics because they can provide the patterning resolution of micron-size effectively in large-area. In view of mechanics, the most important viewpoint in offset printing is how to achieve the synchronized movement of two contact surfaces in order to prevent slip between two contact surfaces and distortion of the blanket surface during ink transfer so that the high-resolution and good-overlay patterns can be printed. In this paper, a novel low-cost measurement method of the synchronization error using the motor control output signals is proposed and the compensation method is presented to minimize the synchronization error.
