A fast pattern classification algorithm with Cellular Nonlinear Network-based dynamic programming is proposed. The Cellular Nonlinear Networks is an analog parallel processing architecture and the dynamic programing is an efficient computation algorithm for optimization problem. Combining merits of these two technologies, fast pattern classification with optimization is formed. On such CNN-based dynamic programming, if exemplars and test patterns are presented as the goals and the start positions, respectively, the optimal paths from test patterns to their closest exemplars are found. Such paths are utilized as aggregating keys for the classification. The algorithm is similar to the conventional neural network-based method in the use of the exemplar patterns but quite different in the use of the most likely path finding of the dynamic programming. The pattern classification is performed well regardless of degree of the nonlinearity in class borders.
In this paper we proposes a new technique for identification of breast cancer by classification of proteome pattern generated from 2-D polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-D PAGE) and development of cancer diagnosis system : HABIT. Proteome patterns reflect the underlying pathological state of a human organ and it is believed that the anomalies or diseases of human organs are identified by the analysis or classification of the patterns. Proteome patterns consist of quantitative information of the spots such as their size, position, and density in the proteome image produced from 2-D PAGE, for the Image mining of proteome pattern, SVM(support vector machine) and GA(genetic algorithm) are used to generate a decision model for the identification of breast cancer The decision model was then used to classify an independent set of test proteome patterns into the affecter and unaffecter classes. The proposed technique was tested by actual clinical test samples and showed a good performance of a hit ratio of 90%.

In this paper, a design method for sequential circuit which is easy to have Built-in Self Test is kproposed using the functional advantages of multifunctional BILBO and LSSD. To achieve the hardware reduction, it is designed that a multifunctional BILBO has double operational functions of NLFSR and LFSR, when neccessary, and that test signal could be used as an input-output signal in the same line. By applying the proposed multifunctional BILBO to the sequential PLA, the test patterns and the additional circuit could be reduced in test operation and the propagation delay is vanished in normal operation, as we expected. Above them, the partitioned method for large scale sequential circuit is also suggested and it is observed that test patterns and additional circuit in them reduced by this method.
Purpose: Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common gynecologic complaints of young women. This study investigated the changes in the menstrual cycle during test evaluations according to perfectionism and testing anxiety among high school girls in order to provide information for care of dysmenorrhea. Method: Data collection was done from July 14 to 18, 2008 by self administered questionnaires with 300 high school girls. Result: The subjects experienced amenorrhea(35.3%), changes in the menstrual cycle(66.3%), changes in menstrual duration(50.0%), changes in amount of menstruation(47.7%), and increases in menstrual pain during testing evaluations. There were significant differences in changes of menstrual patterns, physical symptoms, and menstrual pain during test evaluations between a high perfectionist group and low perfectionist group. Also, there were significant differences in changes of menstrual patterns, physical symptoms, and menstrual pain during test evaluations between a high testing anxiety group and low testing anxiety group. Perfectionism and testing anxiety showed a positive relationship with changes in menstrual patterns, physical symptoms, and menstrual pain. Conclusion: As perfectionism and testing anxiety seem to contribute to changes in the menstrual cycle during test evaluations, school health-care providers should screen routinely for dysmenorrhea and give more attention to health education on this topic to girls.
This paper aims at studying the improvement of test method for t-weight sensitive fault (t-wsf) detect. The development of RAM fabrication technology results in not only the increase at device density on chips but also the decrease in line widths in VLSI. But, the chip size that was large and complex is shortened and simplified while the cost of chips remains at the present level, in many cases, even lowering. First of all, The testing patterns for RAM fault detect, which is apt to be complicated , need to be simplified. This new testing method made use of Local Lower Bound (L.L.B) which has the memory with the beginning pattern of 0(l) and the finishing pattern of 0(1). The proposed testing patterns can detect all of RAM faults which contain stuck-at faults, coupling faults. The number of operation is 6N at 1-weight sensitive fault, 9,5N at 2-weight sensitive fault, 7N at 3-weight sensitive fault, and 3N at 4-weight sensitive fault. This test techniques can reduce the number of test pattern in memory cells, saving much more time in test, This testing patterns can detect all static weight sensitive faults and pattern sensitive faults in RAM.
This study examined the perception and production of eight English fricatives /f/, /v/, /θ/, /ð/, /s/, /z/, /ʃ/, and /ʒ/ by thirty Chinese English majors and thirty Chinese middle school students through a fricative identification test, an intelligibility test, and a goodness rating test and focused on error patterns and the perception-production relationship. The results showed that substitution errors occurred frequently in the perception and production of English fricatives by both the English majors and the middle school students. Further, the error patterns were attributed to various influencing factors such as the negative transfer from Chinese consonant inventory, hypercorrection or overcompensation mistakes, deficiency of L2 teaching, and acoustic similarities. Significant overall correlations were found between the fricative perception and production by the two subject groups but were not manifested in all the eight fricatives, indicating that Chinese learners' perceptual competence of target fricatives was not necessarily tied to their productive excellence of those sounds in all cases. Furthermore, precedences of perception over production were incompletely manifested in the eight fricatives, which suggested that perception might not always be a necessary prerequisite for production. Additionally, subject group and vowel context differences were observed. The English majors performed better than the middle school students, both perceptually and productively, and the subjects' performances in perception and production varied when vowel contexts changed.
Powder blasting technique was introduced to micromachine the micro patterns of circular and rectangular shape in LGP mould. The machinability of these patterns and matt treatment by powder blasting were verified. Then a prototype of LGP was injected by the developed LGP mould with micro patterns. Shape analysis of micro patterns and performance test of the injected LGP were carried out. The results showed printless LGP with micro patterns could be produced by just single injection using the mould with micro patterns, and powder blasting technique could be successfully applied to micrornachining of micro patterns and matt treatment of LGP mould.
Ronchi test is an optical test to check the quality of an imaging system. Wavefront of the optical system can be obtained from the Ronchi patterns. In this poster, we present the Ronchi test module and the optical quality evaluation results. The test module consists of a light source, a pinhole, a beam splitter, a Ronchi ruling and a flat mirror. The test module can be simply adapted to any optical systems. We compare measured surface data for both aluminum and glass parabolic mirrors by analyzing the Ronchi patterns.

This study aims to rectify the disfigurement of bowlegged, (which means they have a gap between knees due to knee joint problems) females in their twenties through the development of pants patterns. The contents of the study are as follows: First, two types of basic pattern-making methods were selected. Two mock-ups, which were made by using these pre-selected basic patterns, were worn by three bowlegged participants and evaluated with a fit test. A basic pattern, which had good body fit was selected, which had a bubble or a wedge at in crotch area and roomy or snug upper thigh. Second, the mock-up, which was made by using the selected basic pattern, led to the outward movement of crease lines. Two types of patterns that were adjusted were evaluated through a fit test. As a result, an effective adjustment for moving the crease line to the outside or to the center was to cut along the slash line of a horizontal balance line to, but not through the crotch seam to spread the pattern at the hip. Third, three patterns were readjusted using the chosen alteration pattern, and the crotch seam and spread patterns of 1 cm, 2 cm, and 3 cm at the hip were applied. As a result of the evaluation of the fit test, three participants-the majority-showed a better fit when the spread amount in the pattern was 2 cm, although every participant did have a different gap between the knees. This study has significance in which rectifies the disfigurement of bowlegged individuals through the development of patterns for females in their twenties who are bowlegged.
For engineers, generating a mesh in porous media (PMs) sometimes represents a smaller computational load than generating realistic stent geometries with computer fluid dynamics (CFD). For this reason, PMs have recently become attractive to mimic flow-diverter stents (FDs), which are used to treat intracranial aneurysms. PMs function by introducing a hydraulic resistance using Darcy's law; therefore, the pressure drop may be computed by test sections parallel and perpendicular to the main flow direction. However, in previous studies, the pressure drop parallel to the flow may have depended on the width of the gap between the stent and the wall of the test section. Furthermore, the influence of parameters such as the test section geometry and the distance over which the pressure drops was not clear. Given these problems, computing the pressure drop parallel to the flow becomes extremely difficult. The aim of the present study is to resolve this lack of information for stent modeling using PM and to compute the pressure drop using several methods to estimate the influence of the relevant parameters. To determine the pressure drop as a function of distance, an FD was placed parallel and perpendicular to the flow in test sections with rectangular geometries. The inclined angle method was employed to extrapolate the flow patterns in the parallel direction. A similar approach was applied with a cylindrical geometry to estimate loss due to pipe friction. Additionally, the pressure drops were computed by using CFD. To determine if the balance of pressure drops (parallel vs perpendicular) affects flow patterns, we calculated the flow patterns for an ideal aneurysm using PMs with various ratios of parallel pressure drop to perpendicular pressure drop. The results show that pressure drop in the parallel direction depends on test section. The PM thickness and the ratio of parallel permeability to perpendicular permeability affect the flow pattern in an ideal aneurysm. Based on the permeability ratio and the flow patterns, the pressure drop in the parallel direction can be determined.
