The term allergy was originally defined by Clemens Yon Pirquet as ‘an altered capacity of the body to react to foreign substance’, which was an extremely board definition that included all immunological reactions. Allergy is now defined in a much more restricted manner as ‘disease following an immune response to an otherwise innocuous antigen’. Allergy is a member of a class of immune responses that have been termed hypersensitivity reactions; these are harmful immune responses that produce tissue injury and may cause serious disease. Acute renal failure is the generic term for an abrupt and sustained decrease in renal function resulting in retention of nitrogenous and non nitrogenous waste product. This may results in life threatening consequences including volume overload, hyperkalemia, and metabolic acidosis. Acute renal failure is both common and carries high mortality rate, but as it is often preventable, identification of patients at risk and and appropriate management are crucial. This review summarized the most recent information on definition, epidemiology, clinical causes and management of acute renal failure in pediatric patients.

지식 정보의 확산에 따라 기존 전문분야 용어집에 수록되지 않은 용어의 수가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다 이에 따라 용어집을 자동으로 구축하는 작업이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 의학분야 코퍼스에서 주어진 전문용어에 대한 정의문을 자동으로 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 우선, 정의문의 구문적 패턴과 용어의 어휘구성 패턴을 이용하여 용어의 상위개념을 추정한다. 상위개념별로 구축된 특성 어휘 목록을 이용하여 구문적 패턴으로 뽑힌 문장에 등장하는 어휘의 적합성 여부를 판단하여 정의문을 추출한다. 실험 결과 코퍼스에 정의 정보가 있는 48개의 용어에 대하여 71.43%의 정확률을 보인다.

The term adaptive control is often used to describe recent advances in welding process control but strictly this only applies to system which are able to cope with dynamic changes in system performance. In welding applications, the term adaptive control may not imply the conventional control theory definition but may be used in the more descriptive sense to explain the need for the process to adapt to the changing welding conditions. This paper proposed a methodology for obtaining a good bead appearance based on multi-torches welding system with the vision system in SAW. The methodologies for adaptive filling control used the welding current/voltage, arc voltage/welding current/wire feed speed combination and welding speed by using the vision sensor. It was shown that the algorithm for the welding current/voltage combination and welding speed revealed the sound weld bead appearance compared with that of the voltage/current combination.

To give any science or discipline an assured status, the most important and fundamental thing is to establish the method of research. 'Bibliography' is an ambiguous and much-abused term in any area, oriental, anglo-american, or latin countries. This study is a little essay to examine the different theories of these three areas and to synthesize the common factors. It is devised three parts : the definition of the term itself and the transition of its concept, the introduction of each theory, and a proposition of methodology based on these theories. In all, bibliography is commonly understood to mean (i) a list of books and other graphic materials arranged according to some system, (ii) the study of books as material objects include historical and textual problems, (iii) as a science of books, the systematic study of all conditions of its production, diffusion, and utilisation, including the study of factors of explication of phenomenon, on the political, economical, technical, social and culturel plans.

The term system architecting(SA) is widely used in systems engineering area, however the explicit meaning of the term varies considerably from person to person depending on his expertise and viewpoints. In this paper, we surveyed the range of variations in definitions and present the summary. Additionally, the definition of robust system architecting is suggested along with the associated system architecture guides that can be followed during an architecture development. This guide exposes various viewpoints of architecture such as art side, requirement specification, system view, principles, tools and environment.

Acute kidney injury (AKI), formerly referred to as acute renal failure (ARF) is defined as the sudden impairment of kidney function (estimated from the glomerular filtration rate [GFR]) that results in the lack of excretion of waste products. More than 30 definitions of AKI exist in the literature, most of which are based on serum creatinine. Lack of a uniform and multidimensional AKI definition has led to failure to recognize significant renal injury, delays in treatment, and inability to generalize single-study results. The RIFLE criteria were developed to standardize the diagnosis of ARF and in the process the term AKI has been proposed to encompass the entire spectrum of the syndrome from minor changes in renal function to requirement for renal replacement therapy. Large prospective studies are needed to test definitions and to better understand risk factors, incidence, independent outcomes, and mechanisms that lead to poor short- and long-term outcomes. Early biomarkers of AKI need to be explored in critically ill neonates.

The 2015 revised mathematics curriculum had newly introduced the term 'process-focused assessment'. The official document, however, did not offer an explicit definition of the new term, but only by virtue of narrative. This has encouraged practitioners and researchers to figure out themselves what it is and how it differs from those in use, formative assessment and performance assessment in particular, in use. In consequence, many versions of interpretation, all of which are not necessarily consistent, have been developed and implemented in schools, This, in turn, still has created a chaotic situation carrying out the process-focused assessment. This study attempted to make the meaning of the process-focused assessment more explicit by conducting a comprehensive review of the related literature, for implementing it in its intended way.

The term "Privatization" has a different meaning in different contexts and cultures. In this paper, the term "Privatization" in the context of airports is defined as the movement of an entity from the government sector to the private sector. This is the definition that is commonly employed in the U.S. Airport revenue can he divided into two sub-categories of aeronautical revenue and non-aeronautical revenue. At many of the major international airports, however, non-aeronautical revenue has been growing faster than the aeronautical revenue, contributing an increasingly larger share of the total revenue. And the best way to enhance simultaneously the airport operations. With the remarkable growth in the air traffic volume of pssengers and cargo. more and more mega-international airports have been built or are under construction. As the air transport demand is expected to increase at an even greater rate in the 21st century, new types of airports which will be free of current major problems. such as airport congestion and flight delays are badly needed.

In approximately 10% of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), angiography does not reveal an obstructive coronary stenosis. This is known as myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA), which has complex and multifactorial causes. However, this term can be confusing and open to dual interpretation, because MINOCA is also used to describe patients with acute myocardial injury caused by ischemia-related myocardial necrosis. Therefore, with regards to this specific context of MINOCA, the generic term for MINOCA should be replaced with troponin-positive with non-obstructive coronary arteries (TpNOCA). The causes of TpNOCA can be subcategorized into epicardial coronary (causes of MINOCA), myocardial, and extracardiac disorders. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging can confirm MI and differentiate various myocardial causes, while cardiac computed tomography is useful to diagnose the extracardiac causes.
