고관절 주변에 발생하는 석회화 건염은 그 발생빈도가 극히 드믈지만 증상이 발생하면 매우 심한 통증으로 일상 생활이 힘들어진다. 저자들은 급성 고관절 통증과 관절 운동 장애를 호소하는 환자 4례에서 석회화 건염을 진단하고 초음파 감시하 다발성 천공술을 시행하여 만족할 만한 결과를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하고자 한다.

서론: 견관절 주변에 발생한 석회화 건염에 대한 초음파하에서 주사 요법을 시행하고 결과를 판정하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 증상이 있는 35세에서 64세 사이의 견관절 석회화 건염 12예를 대상으로 하였으며 초음파하에서 석회화 부위에 18 guage 바늘을 이용하여 천공 후 주변부에 증식 요법 주사제를 주입하였다. 결과: 전례에서 통증의 감소와 제한이 없는 운동 기능 회복을 관찰할 수 있었다. 결론: 초음파하에서 시행되는 주사 요법은 석회화 건염에서 심한 통증을 가지게 되는 시기에 효과적으로 이용할 수 있는 술식 중 하나로 보인다.

Purpose In order to estimate clinical effects of Oriental Medicine Treatment with acupotomy therapy of Achilles Tendinitis Methods From 4th August, 2008 to 14th August, 2008, 1 female patient diagnosed as Chronic Achilles Tendinitis (clinical diagnosed) was treated with general oriental medicine therapy(acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, physical therapy, herbal medication) and acupotomy. Results The patient's chief complaints- Lt. heel pain and stiffness, dorsi-flexion limitation, nodules in the achilles tendon- were notably improved. Conclusions This study demonstrates that oriental medical treatment with acuputomy therapy has significant effect in improving symptoms of achilles tendinitis. as though we had not wide experience in this treatment, more research is needed.

This study was performed to report the effect of oriental medical treatments on the 4 patients with calcific tendinitis of the shoulder. The 4 patients were treated by cupping, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture on tender points of the greater tuberosity of humerus. The state of patients was measured by visual analog scale(VAS) and shoulder range of motion(ROM). After mean 3.25 times of treatments, the significant recovery of shoulder ROM was measured and the significant pain relief was seen as the average of VAS changed from 8.5 to 1. These results suggest that oriental medical treatments including cupping, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture are effective to improve the calcific tendinitis of the shoulder. However more rigorous study should be followed.

Although Achilles tendinitis is a relatively common disease, tuberculous involvement of Achilles tendon is rare. We report a case of tuberculous Achilles tendinitis, which was successfully treated with chemotherapy and a combined surgical procedure (Achilles tendon parital excision and FHL tendon transfer).

Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder joint is common disease causing acute pain, mainly involving the supraspinatus or infraspinatus muscle, and less frequently the teres minor or subscapularis muscle. This study reports on the satisfactory arthroscopic removal of calcium deposits as well as infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscle repair without relapse via minimal incision using suture anchors. This was a case of atypically extensive calcific tendinitis involving the infraspinatus muscle, with a bursal side partial rupture of the supraspinatus muscle in a 61-year-old female whose chief complaint was chronic pain of the right shoulder exacerbated by limited movement.

Differential diagnosis of posterior neck pain is very challenging based on symptoms and physical examination only. Retropharyngeal calcific tendinitis is a rare and frequently misdiagnosed entity in various causes of neck pain. It results from calcium hydroxyapatite deposition in the longus colli muscle which is characterized by severe neck pain, painful restriction of neck movement, dysphagia, and odynophagia. We herein report a case of a patient with acute retropharyngeal calcific tendinitis, who complained of posterior neck pain, initially diagnosed and treated as a myofascial neck pain syndrome.

The shoulder is the most common site in the body for calcific deposition. Calcific tendinitis is one of the common lesions of the painful shoulder. The surpaspinatus tendon is the most frequently affected location, next the infraspinatus and relatively rare the subscapularis tendon. We report upon a case of calcific tendinitis of subscapularis tendon alone, which developed in a 61-year-old female after minor trauma and was treated successfully with surgical excision.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to know the therapeutic effect of herbal-acupuncture on shoulder pain from calcific tendinitis. Methods : The patient who have the calcific tendinitis was treated by herbal-acupunture on 6 acupoints around right shoulder. The shoulder pain and dysfunction was assessed by visual analogue scale(VAS). UCLA Shoulder rating Scale. and SPAI scale. Results : After treatment. all scales showed slightly improvement.. Conclusion : Herbal-acupuncture on shoulder joint was effective in short term study. We need more further study.

Purpose: It is to analyze the clinical utility of radiograhpic measurements for the insertional Achilles tendinitis patients who have Haglund's deformity and to evaluate the radiographic values related to Haglund's deformity in normal Korean population. Materials and Methods: We used the angle of Fowler and Philip, parallel pitch lines (PPL) and Chauveaux-Liet (CL) angle as radiographic measurements. We examined 50 cases of insertional Achilles tendinits patients and another 50 cases of normal foot as a control. Results: In normal feet, the mean value of angle of Fowler and Philip was $53.22^{\circ}$, CL angle was $-33.14^{\circ}$ and the PPL showed positive in 48%. In case of insertional Achilles tendinitis, the mean values were $55.39^{\circ}$, $-33.63^{\circ}$, positive in 56% respectively. There were not statistically significant differences (p>0.05). Conclusion: The radiographic values for Haglund's deformity between insertional Achilles tendinitis feet and the normal feet did not show significant difference. Therefore, it seems that the clinical utility of radiographic measurements for the insertional Achilles tendinitis with Haglund's deformity is not useful and the development of new diagnostic methods as MRI and ultrasonography is required.
