Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the number of patients with and without medical history transported to the emergency department due to changes in daily temperature and season. Methods: Data on emergency activity sheet and daily weather were collected from March 2016 to February 2017 in the city of Gyeonggi-do. In total, 13,531 patients were transferred to the emergency department in 119 ambulance. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (version 21). Results: The daily average number of patients transferred was the highest in August and September, i.e., the summer season. The higher the daily highest and lowest temperatures, higher the daily average number of patients transferred. In contrast, patients with medical history of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and pulmonary disease had a higher incidence of transfers in the winter season and on days with lower temperature. Conclusion: The results indicate that as people become more active during the summer when temperatures are high, the chances of daily emergencies increases, whereas patients with medical history are more likely to experience emergencies when the temperatures were lower. Hence, 119 ambulances will have to be prepared in advance to deal with this trend.

The present study performed low-pressure steam curing with mortar specimens in order to examine the temperature profile and strength development of steam curing in high-strength specimens of 100MPa. In addition, as a basic research to utilize PC products, we examined the effects of curing temperature and time in steam curing cycle on strength development resulting from the hydration of cement within the range of high strength by changing four factors affecting the quality of PC displacement time, peak curing temperature, peak temperature duration, and ascending and descending gradient of temperature - in various patterns, and analyzed the optimal strength development characteristic based on the relation between temperature profile and strength development. With regard to the high-temperature curing characteristic of PC, we performed an experiment on the strength characteristic according to the temperature profile of high-strength mortar, and from the results of the experiment according to curing characteristic, displacement time, peak curing temperature, peak temperature duration, and ascending and descending gradient of temperature, we drew conclusions as follows.

The temperature control of in-place concrete is the most important factor for an early age of curing concrete. Heat stress of mass concrete caused by the heat of hydration can induce the crack of concrete, and a frost damage from cold weather casting concrete results defect on compressive strength and degradation of durability. Therefore, success and failure of concrete work is dependant on the measurement and control of concrete temperature. In addition, the compressive strength assessment of in-place concrete obtained from the maturity calculated from the history of temperature make a reduction of construction cycle time, possible. For that purpose, wireless temperature measuring system was developed to control temperature and assess strength of concrete. And, it was possible to monitor the temperature of concrete over 1km apart from site office and to take a proper measure; mesh-type network was developed for wireless sensor. Furthermore, curing control system that contains the program capable to calculate the maturity of concrete from the history of temperature and to assess the compressive strength of concrete was established. In this study, organization and practical method of developed curing control system are presented; base on in-place application case.
Recently, construction of mass concrete structures except Dam are increased very often. Generation heat due to the hydrating reaction of mass concrete is generally larger than the heat released to the air, foundations and the exist structures. Therefore, internal temperature of mass concrete is remarkably risen and temperature gap between center and surface is extended by various effect. It this gap get large, the crack may be occurred. This crack must be controlled as little as possible to ensure the soundness and durability of structure. Firstly, Temperature rising history of Mass concrete is expected correctly to constrain the crack of mass concrete. So, objectives of this research is to quantify the effects of hydration temperature for the purpose of evaluating accurately the temperature history of mass concrete.
New method for evaluation of heat transfer coefficient is proposed. In general, many researchers have been studied about inverse problem in order to calculate the heat transfer coefficient on three-dimensional heat conduction problem. But they can get the time-dependent heat transfer coefficient only through inverse problem. In order to acquire temperature-dependent heat transfer coefficient, it requires much time for numerous repetitive calculation and inconvenient manual modification. In order to solve these problems, we are using the SQP(Sequential Quadratic Programming) as an optimization algorithm. When the temperature history is given by experiment, the optimization algorithm can evaluate the temperature-dependent heat transfer coefficient with automatic repetitive calculation until difference between calculated temperature history and experimental ones is minimized. Finally, temperature-dependent heat transfer coefficient evaluated by developed program can used on various heat transfer problem.
When concrete exposed to low temperatures, the free water in the concrete is freeze. If the pressure developed exceeds the tensile strength of the concrete, the cavity will dilate and rupture. It cause expansion and cracking, scaling and crumbling of the concrete. In this study, to prevent such damage, five different types of form were used. Concrete was poured into each form, cured for 7 days at temperature of -10℃. To measure the temperature history, two thermocouples were installed on each of the inside and outside. And to measure the compressive strength, collected core from each form. The maturity is formed by temperature history. The maturity and the compressive strength has a correlation.
This study is to investigate the effect of the diameter of reinforcement bars located in an aluminum-form on the temperature histories of the re-bars before placing concrete during a cold weather condition. The diameters of reinforcement bars with 13 mm, 19 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm were prepared for the experimental tests. Results showed that the larger the size of the diameter of the bars, the higher were the temperature drop. However, this study found that its effect on the temperature drop of the bars was insignificant.
High Performance Concrete(HPC) has been widely used in high-rise building. The HPC has several benefits including high strength, high fluidity and high durability. However. spatting is susceptible to occur in HPC and HPC also tends to be deteriorated in the side of fire resistance performance at fire. This paper focuses on the analysis of the temperature history and residual compressive strength with finishing material, in order to protect HPC from sudden-high-temperature, which is one of the main reason spatting occurs. Test results show that spalling occurs in all specimens. The most serious spalling took placed in HPC covering fire enduring spray-on material, whose covering thickness is 20mm but temperature history indicates that fire enduring spray effectively protected HPC from fire for more than 2hours. In addition, residual compressive strength ratio of HPC using fire enduring paint was more than $90\%$ of original strength, thus minimizing spatting and indicating significant fire resistance performance.
Recently, as architectural concrete structures become high-rise and megastructured, concrete become high-strengthened and, by ensuring products of more stability, air compression and rationalization of construction are required. In general, product management test of precast concrete member, specimen for management cured in the same condition with precast concrete member is substitutively used for strength test. However, large cross-sectional precast concrete members such as columns show large temperature increase in manufacturing process not only by external heating but also by concrete itself's hydration heating. Therefore, it is expected that specimen for management to predict strength and compression strength of precast concrete member shows different temperature history and strength characteristics. Concerning this, in order to suggest temperature history and strength characteristics of high strength mass concrete suitable for precast concrete application, this study comprises the inclusive investigations on the relations between management specimen with similar temperature history and core strength, and the strength characteristics per member cross-section dimensional value and per water-bonding material ratio value.
