Recently, a service robot industry outstands as an up and coming industry of the next generation. Specially, there are so many research in self-steering movement(SSM). In order to implement SSM, robot must effectively recognize all around, detect objects and make a surrounding map with sensors. So, many robots have a sonar and a infrared sensor, etc. But, in these sensors, We only know informations about between the robot and the object as well as resolution faculty is of inferior quality. In this paper, we will introduce new algorithm that recognizes objects around robot and makes a two dimension surrounding map with a omni-direction vision camera and two stereo vision cameras.

Mobile network infrastructure is being completed with the development of hardware and software for mobile devices. Network in mobile devices has evolved for telematics that is expanded much more than its existing concept. Telematics is compound word that is formed from the words "telecommunication" and "informatics". It means that telematics performs control and monitoring service with using mobile device resources. These services provide their services for users' requests through wired or wireless network from mobile devices and server that offers contents and network service collects management information of mobile devices. Map service is one of the preferred services for many telematics users. However, mobile map service has a limit between traffic and information sharing. Therefore it is very important to supply their information for both service provider and terminal user. In this paper, we design a new interactive sketch map using routes and information on the space to be applied effectively, and provide an extended document format that is defined to an extensible and dynamic clustering scheme to have portability map service for mobile device.

In this paper, I tried to analyze the relationship between the market structure of teleommunicatin industry and market performance using Economides and Lehr's results considering composite goods methods. And I took three policy scenarios into account. First, government tires to implement the policy which divides the integrated monopoly into network operator and service provider, then invite competition to service part. Second, government tries to implement the policy which invite the competition to service part only. Third, government tries to implement the policy which invite the competition to integrated duopoly. I gained the best result in the third scenario. So we can conclude that Parallel vertical integration is the best market structure. I also specially checked the relationship between the market structure and service quality. I gained the best service quality in the third scenario. So we can conclude that Parallel Vertical Integration is also the best market structure with regard to the service quality.

There are a lot of manholes such as for water supply, sewage, telecommunication cable, traffic sign, electricity supply, and rainwater, etc. Conventional manholes installed on a road are impossible to adjust height, so that they should be entirely excavated to reinstall or repair. This entire excavation of a manhole causes too much time-consuming work, waste of resources, and obstruction of traffic. In this study, in order to solve the above mentioned problems, a cover, outer and inner parts of a manhole are integrated by gear-shaped parts located between outer and inner parts of a manhole. Mechanical design is performed to determine dimension of gear-shaped parts by Taguchi orthogonal array table. Cast molds for a gear-shaped manhole are also manufactured.

Mobile devices do not need the fixed network infrastructure in ad-hoc network, these devices communicate each other through the distributed control. Accordingly, mobile devices can discover several services using dynamic searching method and provide safely public ownership of these services. Ad-hoc network needs the distributed control and topology of dynamic network because the limited power for processing and network communication. This paper is devoted to provide the secure protocol that provides efficient services discovery using SDP(Service Discovery Protocol) and considers the security requirements. Proposed protocol provides the distributed control based on PKI without central server, the discovery of trusted service, secure telecommunication, the identification among mobile devices, and service access control by user authority.

This paper reviews and analyzes the ethical issues of multinational corporations (MNCs) in Africa. First, we find that the transparency and institutions of a host country have a negative relationship with the number of ethical violations of the MNCs. Second, this covers the effects of industry characteristics on each category of ethical issues such as the human rights and the environment. Based on the database of "Ethical Consumer", we show that the Auto, Chemical, Finance, and Telecommunication industries are more likely to violate human rights issues, and that Mining, Oil, Cosmetics, and Chemical industries are more likely to pollute the environments. Further, the country of origin does matter: the US and Asian companies are more likely to be involved with the business ethics violations than are their European counterparts.

IT산업의 기술발달이 하드웨어, 소프트웨어, 네트워킹에서 콘텐츠기술로 패러다임이 변화함에 따라 중소벤처기업들의 기술개발전략 또한 변화하고 있다. IT중소기업은 2002년말 GDP의 3.8%를 기여하고 있다. 정보통신부가 지원하고 있는 정보통신 산업경쟁력강화사업 및 우수신기술지정지원사업의 경우 컴퓨터, 소프트웨어 및 컨텐츠 등 정보기술분야의 기술개발이 각각 60%, 54%를 차지하고 기술개발사업화는 기술개발기간으로부터 3년정도 추가 소요됨을 알 수 있었다. 1996년부터 시작된 우수신기술지정지원사업의 경우 41%, 1999년부터 시작된 산업경쟁력강화사업은 18%의 사업화율을 보이고 있다. 중소기업들의 단기상용 기술개발전략은 정보기술분야를 우선적으로 검토할 필요가 있으며 단기 기술개발일지라도 기술개발 후 3년 정도 추가 상용기술개발 기간이 소요되는 점을 감안하여 기술개발에 접근하여야 한다.

電波通信에 관한 法源이며 法典인 國際電氣通信協約은 電波通信에 관하여 人文, 社會 및 自然의 各系科學的 要素가 有機的으로 複合한 綜合科學이라는 것을 明示하고 있고 國際電氣通信聯合은 이 原理와 科學性에 立脚하여 國際協力을 위한 法理念과 그에 基礎한 諸般規制를 立法 施行하고 있다. 이 法理念과 各種規制의 目標는 超領域的인 世界平和와 人類福祉를 指向하고 있어 恰似 UN憲章과 世界人檢宣言의 理念과도 방불하며 다른 한편에서는 國際通信法의 制定歷史上, 오히려 UN憲章보다 先行되고 있는 理念이기도 하다. 따라서 電波通信에 관한 學術硏究와 敎育訓練은 勿論이고 그밖에 이에 관계되는 立法, 行政, 産業 등 모든 關係領域에서는 이 科學性과 超領域性을 基盤으로 모든 試圖가 行하여지지 않으명 아니되는 것이다.

H.264/AVC는 부호화 효율을 크게 향상시킨 비디오 부호화에 대한 표준이다. ITU-T와 MPEG는 가변블록의 움직임, 다중참조화면, l/4 화소 움직임 추정/보상기법과 비트율-왜곡 최적화 기법 등 다양하고 복잡한 부호화 기법들을 적용했다. H.264 참조 모델은 비트율-왜곡 최적화 기법에 기반을 둔 복잡한 부호화 모드 결정 기법을 채택했는데, 이는 부호화기의 높은 복잡성을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 매크로 블록 부호화 모드의 순서에 대한 비트율-왜곡의 비용 값의 분포에 기초한 효율적인 부호화 모드 결정 기법을 제안하였다. 실험결과는 제안한 방법이 부호화 시간에 있어 34%를 감소시켰으며, 비트율-왜곡의 계산 량을 82% 줄였음을 보여준다.

위치기반서비스(Location-based Services: LBS)는 현재 이동통신 기술의 발달과 더불어 전 세계 이동통신시장에서 가장 활발하게 연구되고 있는 차세대 기술 분야이다. 국내에서는 최근 이동통신 회사에서 위치기반서비스에 기반을 둔 다양한 부가서비스를 제공하면서 위치기반서비스에 대한 높은 관심을 받고 있다. 위치기반서비스는 기술별로 위치측위기술, LBS플랫폼 기술, LBS 응용서비스 기술로 분류될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 1991년부터 2005년까지 위치기반서비스의 기술 분야별로 출원 및 등록된 특허를 분석함으로서 위치기반서비스의 기술동향에 대해 살펴본다. 본 연구를 통해 분석된 결과는 LBS 기술 개발에 있어 중복을 방지하고, 기존 기술과의 차별화된 기술개발 방향을 모색하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
