V2X Technology Trends for Next-Generation Mobility

  • We describes V2X technology, a connectivity-based recognition technology that is attracting attention as a key technology for implementing autonomous driving technology, and autonomous communication modules that implement ADAS technology, a sensor-based recognition technology. It also explains the trends in V2X technology standardization centered on IEEE 802.11p, which is a WAVE technology standard based on Wi-Fi/DSRC. Finally, we will discuss the market growth trend of V2X communication modules in the United States, the leading V2X technology module, and the development of technology development trends of major domestic and international companies that are leading the global technology market related to V2X communication modules. V2X and ADAS technologies will be the biggest influence on automotive purchasing decisions. In recent years, V2I mandates have been promoted beyond V2V, mainly in developed countries such as the United States. The related industry needs to focus on the development of information transmission network technology that can support high frequency high efficiency(transmission rate) and sophisticated positioning accuracy beyond conventional vehicle communication.

  • People acknowledge that mobile technology has improved their lives in terms of convenience, flexibility, connectedness, and new freedom of choice. However, as people increase usage of technology, they may become frustrated, challenged, annoyed, and irritated with it. This is the main characteristic of mobile technology paradoxes. Once technology gets into people's daily life, which it already has, people will look for a way to minimize the dependency on the technology, as well as finding a way to use the technology to improve the quality of their life. The focus of this study is to understand the mobile technology paradoxes and to develop coping strategies. As mobile technology is already a part of people's daily life, it is inevitable that people need to utilize technology as part of their lifestyles. This study developed a research model regarding the relationship between mobile technology perception and choice of coping strategies, including personal risk propensity as a mediating factor. Discussion on the importance of the technology paradoxes for developing mobile solution and services from the customers' perspectives followed after hypotheses testing.

과학기술예측 대상기술 선정을 위한 주요 기술영역의 조사연구 (A Study on the Science and Technology Areas for the Third Technology Foresight of Korea)

  • This study reviews and compares the selection procedures for science and technology topics to predict mid- and long-term trends in science and technology development in Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom. It then identifies science and technology topics and future technologies for the third science and technology foresight of Korea. In Japan and the United Kingdom, non-technological topics that reflect socioeconomic needs are also select-ed along with technological ones. This study provides the following policy implications to enhance reliability and effectiveness of the third science and technology foresight of Korea. First, selection of science and technology topics should coincide with the national goal, taking into account development trends in science and technology and socioeconomic needs. Second, the current prediction methodologies such as "delphi" do not fully consider future uncertainties in science and technology development. A scenario method is, for example, needed to present coherent pictures of alternative futures. finally, the third technology foresight should select and include topics that reflect domestic conditions and global trend in technological progress. This study suggests 117 topics for the third science and technology foresight.foresight.

  • 본 논문에서는 LED(light emitting diode)를 사용한 일반 조명에서부터 자동차 조명에 대한 LED, CNT(carbon nano-tube), OLED조명의 융합기술 현황에 대하여 살펴보았다. 정부의 15/30보급정책의 일환인 LED조명 시범보급사업(부산 및 대전 지하철역사, 김대중 컨벤션센터, 대구 및 대전 우체국 등)과 한국산업규격(KS C 7651-3)의 제정 등으로 LED 응용 조명은 시장에서의 사용으로 기존 조명기기와의 경쟁력이 예상된다.

  • We have constructed a level-1 processor to generate brightness temperatures using the direct-broadcast data from the passive microwave radiometer onboard Aqua satellite. Although 50-minute half-orbit data, called a granule, are being routinely produced, to our knowledge, this is the first attempt to process about 10-minute long direct-broadcast data. We modified the processor designed for a granule to process the direct-broadcast data. After the modification, our brightness temperature product differs from the reference by 0.2K rms. Sea surface temperatures are retrieved to demonstrate the utility of AMSR-E.
