This study proposed a robust artificial intelligence (AI) model based on the social behaviour of the imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) and artificial neural network (ANN) for modelling the deflection of reinforced concrete beams, abbreviated as ICA-ANN model. Accordingly, the ICA was used to adjust and optimize the parameters of an ANN model (i.e., weights and biases) aiming to improve the accuracy of the ANN model in modelling the deflection reinforced concrete beams. A total of 120 experimental datasets of reinforced concrete beams were employed for this aim. Therein, applied load, tensile reinforcement strength and the reinforcement percentage were used to simulate the deflection of reinforced concrete beams. Besides, five other AI models, such as ANN, SVM (support vector machine), GLMNET (lasso and elastic-net regularized generalized linear models), CART (classification and regression tree) and KNN (k-nearest neighbours), were also used for the comprehensive assessment of the proposed model (i.e., ICA-ANN). The comparison of the derived results with the experimental findings demonstrates that among the developed models the ICA-ANN model is that can approximate the reinforced concrete beams deflection in a more reliable and robust manner.

When considering the strength of technological opportunities and the spreading of ICT and IoT devices within everyday life, that mean within the life of cities, the complex nature of the urban system increases with the intensification of information and their connections. Recent orientations about urban and regional planning try to carry the discipline to a more flexible approach in respect to the hyperdeterminant role of direct technical applications. This passage is a fundamental aspect considering the faster and faster modifications of social and economic assets at the global and local scale. At the same time, the "environment question" became more and more relevant at the worldwide scale within the 2015 UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Another relevant aspect about the recent urban planning orientations regards the role of the different subjects that are part of the planning process. Approaching the government of smart cities means to define how every subject, with different roles (public or private), could enrich the knowledge of the functioning of the "urban machine" and the awareness of participation of people and city users in the quality of urban life. In the paper author starts defining recent approaches in urban planning, then the nature of the city as a complex system is analyzed from the point of view of planners and of the different subjects that act in the city. Then the smart city is introduced as a further level of complexity and finally author propose the basic element of a Planning Support System.
Floods represent extreme hydrological phenomena that affect populations, environment, social, political, and ecological systems. After the catastrophic floods that have hit Europe and the World in recent decades, the flood problem has become more current. At the EU level, a legal framework has been put in place with the entry into force of Directive 2007/60/EC on Flood Risk Assessment and Management (Flood Directive). Two years after the entry into force of the Floods Directive, Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), has adopted a Regulation on the types and content of water protection plans, which takes key steps and activities under the Floods Directive. The "Methodology for developing flood hazard and risk maps" (Methodology) was developed for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the methodology used in the majority of EU member states, but with certain modifications to the country's characteristics. Accordingly, activities for the preparation of the Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment for each river basin district were completed in 2015 for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities on the production of hazard maps and flood risk maps are in progress. The results of probable climate change impact model forecasts should be included in the preparation of the Flood Risk Management Plans, which is the subsequent phase of implementing the Flood Directive. By the foregoing, the paper will give an example of the development of the hydrodynamic model of the Zujevina River, as well as the development of hazard and risk maps. Hazard and risk maps have been prepared for medium probability floods of 1/100 as well as for high probability floods of 1/20. The results of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) recording were used to create a digital terrain model (DMR). It was noticed that there are big differences between the flood maps obtained by recording LiDAR techniques in relation to the previous flood maps obtained using georeferenced topographic maps. Particular attention is given to explaining the Methodology applied in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With the active smartphones user exceeding 500 million by the end of 2014, China has now become the largest smartphone market in the world. Smartphone companies provide variety of information through a range of applications, such as communications, entertainment, games, and so on. There were many studies conducted about the user acceptance and continuous intention of mobile service. However, it is still not quite clear what factors attract people to reuse smartphone in China. This paper examines the continuous intention of smartphone about Chinese customers. This study incorporates perceived enjoyment as a additional construct into a extended TAM model, by integrating a hedonic service of smartphone. We propose a research model that reflects the individual characteristics and usage contexts of smartphone, such as innovativeness, social influence, and service quality, and analyze the structural relationship between the main variables through empirical study. This study empirically investigated a research model and conducted a survey of smartphone service users in China. Our study proved that perceived enjoyment has a positive influence on continuous intention to use smartphone services. This paper provides the managers an insight that smartphone companies should take more consideration on how to provide more enjoyable service and attract customers to reuse their services.
This essay explores the possibility of risk epistemology based on STS perspective. The starting point is the modern society's dilemma that the more technoscience has been developed, the more modern society has become riskier. The conventional risk epistemology, based on modernist dualism, has a tendency to be negligent of the relationship between risk society and technoscience, since it has only paid attention to either side of objectivity of risk or context of risk. In contrast, STS perspective on risk makes a point of focusing on the need of constructing the comprehensive risk epistemology, instead of the traditional approach based on modernist dualism. Now, this perspective goes ahead through "bridging" between objective risk(nature) and contextual risk(society) toward co-production of risk, as a result that we can no more turn our head from the emergence of new hybrids and, in turn, increase of complexity of heterogeneous networks. As such I suggest the concept of technosphere so as to reflect and display these characteristics of this perspective, and assess the potentiality of the concept.
Purpose : This study was to figure out the factors affecting the job satisfaction of dental hygienists working in dental clinics. To gain the data to establish the systems for enhancing the job satisfaction of the dental hygienists. This research has been conducted dental hygienists working in dental clinics institutes located in Jeonju and Iksan city, Jeollabuk-do, korea. Methods : The collected data were analyzed by using an SPSS statistical program, obtaining the following results. Result : The average satisfactory level of the dental hygienists was 3.45 out of 5 points. The most important factor affecting of the job satisfaction was the relationship with patients as 3.83 points and the least influencing factor was the compensation as 3.09 points. The management system and the satisfactory level were also correlated. For each of details, communication structure and working environment showed the highest correlation with Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.610. Among the management system the general job satisfaction according to the communicational structure was higher when they had better communication with dentists. Among the management system, the job satisfaction according to structural factors was higher when they have manuals for the job, when their job is taken partial charge of the responsibility As for job satisfaction by the welfare support factor in the clinic management system, the better an informal social gathering, the higher general job satisfaction. As for job satisfaction by the job autonomy factor in the clinic management system, the more evenly distributed job opportunities and chances of reeducation for professional development led to higher general job satisfaction. Conclusion : The compensation-related grade was the lowest among the 6 constituent factors of the job satisfaction, it seems that improvement of wages and incentives is required to enhance the satisfaction of the dental hygienists. Also, improving factors affecting the management system of the dental service institute can increase the job satisfaction since the job satisfaction was higher when the institutes have the better management system.
Disasters, including earthquakes and landslides, have enormous economic and social losses besides their impact on environmental disruption. Iran, and particularly its Western part, is known as an earthquake susceptible area due to numerous strong ground motions. Studying ecological changes due to climate change can improve the public and expert sector's awareness and response to future disastrous events. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technologies are appropriate tools for modeling and surface deformation modeling. This paper proposes an efficient approach to detect ground deformation changes using Sentinel-1A. The focal point of this research is to map the ground surface deformation modeling is presented using InSAR technology over Sarpol-e Zahab on 25th November 2018 as a study case. For surface deformation modeling and detection of the ground movement due to earthquake SARPROZ in MATLAB programming language is used and discussed. Results show that there is a general ground movement due to the Sarpol-e Zahab earthquake between -7 millimeter to +18 millimeter in the study area. This research verified previous researches on the advanced image analysis techniques employed for mapping ground movement, where InSAR provides a reliable tool for assisting engineers and the decision-maker in choosing proper policies in a time of disasters. Based on the result, 574 out of 682 damaged buildings and infrastructures due to the 2017 Sarpol-e Zahab earthquake have moved from -2 to +17 mm due to the 2018 earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 Richter. Results show that mountainous areas have suffered land subsidence, where urban areas had land uplift.
In recent years, China has gradually made clear its decision to modernize the governance system and governance capacity of the government by the virtue of digital transformation. As for the smart prison, as a penal institution of the state, technological reform is a key element in the sustainable development of smart prisons; however, relying on technology does not necessarily lead to a better service experience. Service design concept, as a coordinator of technology and social sustainability, needs to be adapted to the technological integration of smart prisons and to the needs for service design in the prison context in a new mode of thinking about services. This paper takes the development of the Jail Pay financial services system, one of the twelve sub-systems of the Smart Prison, as an entry point to explore the characteristics and shortcomings of the service design approach in achieving sustainable service innovation in the Smart Prison, it proposes an experience-based lead collaborative design (EBLCD) that is suitable for the specific needs in the prison context. The EBLCD is a theoretical framework and practical experience for sustainable service innovation in the construction of smart prisons.
Affiliate marketing is classified as a type of online advertising, where merchants share a percentage of sales revenue generated by each customer, who visited the company's website via a content provider. Content provider, referred to as an affiliate, usually places an online advertisement at its website. For the past few years, there have been a lot of companies or individuals who participate in affiliate marketing. Generally speaking, most of them have websites and post the merchant's ads on their own websites. However, building and maintaining websites have some technology requirements. The widespread use of Social Network Service (SNS), especially microblog-based SNS such as Twitter and Sina Weibo, provides opportunities for individuals who want to be content providers of affiliate marketing. Since information spreads quickly on microblog-based SNS and the easy in targeting customers, it is both an effective and an efficient tool to do affiliate marketing. The relationship between a content provider and the potential customer, which is referred as "tie strength", is quite an important issue in such situation. This paper proved that service characteristics of the microblog-based SNS (security, community drivenness and navigability) and content quality all had positive influence on click-through intention, while tie strength played a moderating role. For the group with strong tie, tie strength is crucial in influencing click-through intention. While for the weak tie group, content quality was very important. Finally, we proposed some implications for both academics and practitioners.
With the spread of Artificial Intelligence (AI), various AI-based services are expanding in the financial sector such as service recommendation, automated customer response, fraud detection system(FDS), credit scoring services, etc. At the same time, problems related to reliability and unexpected social controversy are also occurring due to the nature of data-based machine learning. The need Based on this background, this study aimed to contribute to improving trust in AI-based financial services by proposing a checklist to secure fairness in AI-based credit scoring services which directly affects consumers' financial life. Among the key elements of trustworthy AI like transparency, safety, accountability, and fairness, fairness was selected as the subject of the study so that everyone could enjoy the benefits of automated algorithms from the perspective of inclusive finance without social discrimination. We divided the entire fairness related operation process into three areas like data, algorithms, and user areas through literature research. For each area, we constructed four detailed considerations for evaluation resulting in 12 checklists. The relative importance and priority of the categories were evaluated through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). We use three different groups: financial field workers, artificial intelligence field workers, and general users which represent entire financial stakeholders. According to the importance of each stakeholder, three groups were classified and analyzed, and from a practical perspective, specific checks such as feasibility verification for using learning data and non-financial information and monitoring new inflow data were identified. Moreover, financial consumers in general were found to be highly considerate of the accuracy of result analysis and bias checks. We expect this result could contribute to the design and operation of fair AI-based financial services.
