  • Due to the development of information technology of digital revolution, It is recognized that technical development and standardization are getting important. In this study we executed questionnaires for experts in industry, academy and research institution to survey on the demand for the mobile internet technical development and standardization in the IMT2000 environment. This analysis of the technical development and standardization can be utilized to make strategies of related industry and alternatives of policy for our government. It is expected that this study will contribute to the preoccupy of global market.

  • 최근 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)를 응용한 서비스가 해외는 물론 국내에서도 각 분야에서 다양하고 활발하게 연구 개발되고 있다. 국내외 RSS서비스 현황 및 사례조사를 통해 민간과 공공부문의 RSS 서비스 현황을 분석하고, 과학기술분야 지식정보의 특성을 고려하여 다양한 정보와 환경에 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 과학기술 지식정보 서비스를 위한 RSS기반 정보배급 표준시스템의 설계 방안을 제시하였다.

ISO/TC107 - Metallic and other inorganic coatings: Involvement, Activities and Standardization

  • ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 163 national standards bodies (NSB). The ISO standards are developed and processed within the technical committees (TC) or their subcommittees (SC) dealing with the different subject matters. The first technical committee, ISO/TC1, deals with screw threads and was created back in 1947. While, more recently, TC 309 was created to standardize organizational governance. The ISO technical committee in the field of metallic coatings was created in 1962 with the title ISO/TC107- Metallic and other inorganic coatings. This ISO/TC107 technical committee is dealing with the standardization of the characteristics of protective and decorative metallic coatings applied by electrolysis, fusion, vacuum or chemical means, mechanical deposition and ion plating. similarly, it also covers the standardization of the characteristics of protective and decorative non-metallic coatings (excluding paints and other organic coatings) on metal surface applied by electrolysis, fusion, vacuum or chemical means. Scope is further extended to the Standardization of the preparation of the substrates prior to the deposition of metallic and inorganic coatings. There are a total of 144 existing ISO standards published by this technical committee and has 19 participating countries (P-members) and 24 observing countries (O-members). Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS), being the secretariat of ISO/TC107, is constantly supporting this technical committee for the development of standards and related activities.

  • The standardization on superconducting application techniques has been focused only in testing method or material itself, but, recently, it is actively proceeded by superconducting technical committee(TC) of international electro technical commission(IEC). In this paper, the standardization organization and its necessary process is introduced and the standardization technique for 22.9kV, 50MVA HTS power cable is prescribed. Throughout this research, it is possible to take priorities on the standardization technique in HTS power cable application. And moreover it can also contributes to the commercialization of HTS power cable.

  • 인터넷의 발달로 디지털콘텐츠의 생성과 활용이 급격히 증가하면서 디지털콘텐츠에 대한 서비스 방식이 URL 방식에서 URN 방식으로 변화하고 있다. 한국과학기술정보연구원의 KOI나 한국전산원의 UCI가 그 예라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 식별체계 간의 등록$\cdot$변환서비스가 호환되지 않기 때문에 식별체계를 활용하여 디지털콘텐츠를 서비스하기 위해서는 커널메타데이터를 각각 등록하여야 하며, 디지털콘텐츠 변환서비스도 서로 연계가 이루어 지지 않기 때문에 개별적으로 서비스 되고 있다. 디지털콘텐츠를 보다 효율적으로 생성$\cdot$활용하기 위하여 식별체계간의 등록$\cdot$변환서비스 연계가 가능한 식별체계 간 연계시스템 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 상업출판사에 의한 학술정보의 무기화 및 독점화로 학술정보 유통이 일대 위기를 맞고 있는 가운데 누구나 자유롭게 학술정보를 이용하자는 운동이 활발하다. 이를 기술적 표준적으로 지원하기 위해 결성된 OAI에서는 OAI 아키텍쳐와 표준 프로토콜을 개발하였다. OAI는 프로토콜 표준화를 통해 메타데이터의 상호운용성은 크게 증진하였으나, 메타데이터와 전자원문 간 연계를 간과함으로써 정보자원 간 연계가 취약한 맹점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 OAI 아키텍쳐의 메타데이터와 전자원문 간 연계성을 개선하고 유사 자원으로의 확장성을 제공하기 위해, 국제표준 프레임워크인 OpenURL을 접맥한 개방형 학술정보 유통 아키텍처를 설계 및 구현하였다. 이를 통해 분산 환경에서의 정보자원 간 상호운용성 및 유사자원으로의 확장성을 제고하였다.

Bibliographical Description and Classification Indexing For Revolutionary Historical Archives in China(1) (중국의 혁명역사기록물의 목록기술과 검색분류(1))

  • This paper is to examine the bibliographical description of the revolutionary historical archives and the standardization of the archives management in China. The standardization in the field of records and archives management was not initiated on its own way but as a part of national - leveled standardization. As a first step National Committee on Technical Standardization of Literature was established, followed by the establishing of Committee on Technical Standardization of Micro - filming and Committee of Technical Standardization of Paper Form. The standardization of the records and archives management was carried out in the context of functions of these three committees. In 1983 the standardization in the sphere of records and archives management speeded up, when the National Archives Administration formed small organizations which led the standardization work all over the country. A committee of standardization originated from small organizations and it brought a great progress of the standardization. If some opinions on standardization were submitted from records offices or related offices, they were examined by the committee of standardization. The opinions that were submitted by the committee of standardization were examined by the National Archives Administration which proclaimed it officially. The Chinese government commenced to establish the bibliographical data centre for historical archives and materials on the basis of this process of standardization. In the case of the revolutionary historical archives the description was made on the level of sources(provenance), which was sent to the bibliographical data centre for historical archives and materials. The Chinese government set digitalizing as a goal in records and archives management in the middle of 1990's. It was regulated that the description of records item that should be transferred to the center must be digitalized. However, the description of the file level was not made separately being reflected in the process of description of item level. (The second part of the paper will be released in the next volume).

  • Research on RSS(Really Simple Syndication) based application and services are being deployed both domestically and internationally. The RSS service in the area of science and technology should be flexible to the various sources of information as well as the various platform and environments that they are being serviced. It also requires a standardized system to meet the above needs. We have analyzed the use of RSS services overseas as well as domestic services to suggest the implementation of standard system for the syndication of science and technology information based on RSS.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing performance of software companies. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses related to innovation, standardization and technology marketing strategy and software type. Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) 2.0 and SPSS 15.0 have been utilized for deriving the study results. The result of hypothesis testing is as follows. First, standardization and technology marketing strategy positively influence financial performance. Second, innovation, standardization and technology marketing strategy positively influence technical performance. Finally, mobile and non-mobile software companies was shown that innovation, standardization, and technology marketing strategy has different effects to financial and technical performance.

  • Information services adopting RSS(Really Simple Syndication) is on an increase. It is replacing the existing email services. Information in the area of science and technology is of vast amount and various area and their life-cycle and service is complex. Institutions providing information of a single area are not faced with many obstacles in designing information services using RSS in acquiring a channel for the service. However, RSS service in the area of science and technology has to be more specific in designing and implementing the services. In this study, RSS is compared with other information service protocols, domestic and international trends in the area of RSS is analyzed to implement the RSS based Science and Technology information service system(STI-RSS) and its service.
