군에서의 3차원 제품 모델 적용 방안 연구 (Survey on the Application of three dimensional product modeling in the army)

  • 현재 산업체에서 그 수요가 늘어나고 있는 3차원 제품 모델과 관련하여 군에서의 3차원 모델 활성화 방안을 연구하였다. 우리 군은 전통적으로 기계분야 중심의 제조업이 활성화되어 있어 기본적으로 2차원 도면을 기반으로 한 제품 설계가 주를 이루고 있으며, 이에 관련 지침 또한 2차원 도면 형태의 자료에 대해서만 규정하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 '국방규격 서식 및 작성에 관한 지침'으로 대표되는 현재 우리 군에서의 기술자료 관리 지침을 분석하고, 제품의 수명주기관리(Product Lifecycle Management) 관점에서 우리 군에서의 3D 제품모델 활성화를 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하였다.

정보기술 역량과 신제품 성공 요인간의 관계 (The Relationship between IT Capability and the Key Success Factors for New Product Competitive Advantages)

  • The success of new product is a key factor for getting competitive advantages. Marketing research has been investigating marketing capability, manufacturing technical capability, cross-functional integration, market knowledge competence, and competitive environment as the key success factors of new product advantage. Recently, the role of IT capability in enhancing new product advantage is assumed in the literature. However, the empirical studies on the role of IT capability are lacking. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of IT capability on new product competitive advantages and the relationship between IT capability and the key success factors for new product advantage. Conducting an empirical field study, the IT capability is shown to have a direct effect on new product competitive advantages, and to be also the key success factor to make up for marketing capability and manufacturing technical capability. This study develops a conceptual model on the role of IT capability in enhancing new product competitive advantages by integrating marketing research and IS research.

국내 의류상품개발과정에서 직종별 업무관여도 비교 - 테크니컬 디자인 업무 중심으로 - (Work Involvement Study of Each Job on Technical Design in Garment Development Process in South Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to research how practitioners in fashion industry in South Korea perceive concepts of Technical Design/Designer, 2) to compare and analyze issues at work by occupation, 3) to research specific works in garment development process, and 4) to compare and analyze work involvement by occupation, type of a company and etc, and 5) to propose the role of Technical Designers in apparel companies in South Korea. There were two methods to conduct this study, which were in-depth interview and survey. Both methods were conducted to designers, merchandisers, pattern makers, technical designers, and production coordinators. Frequency analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and Factor analysis were performed to get results by using SPSS 18.0 program. The results are following. There were 50 works during garment development process from the result of in-depth interview, and 6 factors were obtained from the result of Factor analysis, which were 'Works about Sample in Sample Development Process', 'Works about Product's Pattern and Size Spec', 'Works about Development of Garment's Design', 'Works about Planning of Product Development and Management of Product in Stock', 'Works about Production Process', and 'Preparation Works for Sample Development'. In conclusion, technical designer in apparel companies in South Korea should be in charge of works about sample in sample development process and decision making of product' size spec, which is included in works about product's pattern and size spec. Also, they should complete technical package after product is developed by designers.

  • In this paper, development of TIM Module for constructing PDM will be introduced. Technical information relevant product data influences cost, quality, precision and productivity. One of the very important feature of product data is organizing not by oneself but very closed to many technical information such as document, file, image and analysis sheet. To manage various technical information, several kinds of management system are used in multi level of production system. PDM and TIM systems are being developed for suitable purpose and are in need of Network technology, Information Technology, Database, sharing and distributing information. Developed TIM system is based on Web environment. By using this system, we can manage systematic technical information and reduce cost for constructing PDM system. And also we will put to practical use another technical information management system for mold plant.

Industry 4.0 - A challenge for variation simulation tools for mechanical assemblies

  • Variation Analysis (VA) is used to simulate final product variation, taking into consideration part manufacturing and assembly variations. In VA, all the manufacturing and assembly processes are defined at the product design stage. Process Capability Data Bases (PCDB) provide information about measured variation from previous products and processes and allow the designer to apply this to the new product. A new challenge to this traditional approach is posed by the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) revolution, where Smart Manufacturing (SM) is applied. The manufacturing intelligence and adaptability characteristics of SM make present PCDBs obsolete. Current tolerance analysis methods, which are made for discrete assembly products, are also challenged. This paper discusses the differences expected in future factories relevant to VA, and the approaches required to meet this challenge. Current processes are mapped using I4.0 philosophy and gaps are analysed for potential approaches for tolerance analysis tools. Matching points of simulation capability and I4.0 intents are identified as opportunities. Applying conditional variations, incorporating levels of adjustability, and the un-suitability of present Monte Carlo simulation due to changed mass production characteristics, are considered as major challenges. Opportunities including predicting residual stresses in the final product and linking them to product deterioration, calculating non-dimensional performances and extending simulations for process manufactured products, such as drugs, food products etc. are additional winning aspects for next generation VA tools.

규칙 기반 추론을 이용한 이기종 시스템간의 제품 정보 상호운용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Product Information Interoperability between Heterogeneous Systems using Rule-based Reasoning)

  • The amount of Meta-data to be managed increases with development of information technology. However, when trying to integrate and share product information of heterogeneous systems within or between companies, sharing of information is impossible if product information classification systems are different. Due to the situation mentioned above, engineers judge the product information classification system and maps corresponding Meta-data for document-based sharing. Judging exponentially increasing amount of data by engineers and sharing product information using documents create great amount of time delay and errors in data handling. Therefore, construction of a system for integrated management and interoperability between product information based on semantic information similar to engineer's judgment is required. This paper proposes a methodology and necessity of a system for interoperability of product information based on semantic web, and also designs a system to integrate heterogeneous systems with different product information using rule based reasoning. This paper also suggests a system base for interoperability and integration of product information between heterogeneous systems by integrating the product information classification system semantically.

제품-기술로드맵 개발을 강화하기 위한 예측모델링에 관한 실증 연구 (An Empirical Study on Predictive Modeling to enhance the Product-Technical Roadmap)

  • 최근 시스템 반도체 발전으로 인하여 자동차 산업의 전장(電裝)에 대한 기술혁신이 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 특히, 자동차의 전장화는 자동차 부품업체들의 기술개발 경쟁을 가속화시키고 있으며, 개발 주기 또한 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화로 인하여 연구개발에 대한 전략과 기획의 중요성은 더욱 강화되고 있다. 자동차 산업의 패러다임 변화로 인하여, 연구개발 전략 중의 하나인 제품-기술로드맵(P/TRM)은 기획 단계에서 기술예측, 기업의 기술수준평가, 기술획득방법(Make/Collaborate/Buy) 등의 분석을 통하여 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 제품-기술로드맵은 제품과 기술의 고객 니즈를 파악하고 기술의 선정, 개발방향을 설정하는 툴(Tool)로써, 미래의 발전방향 추세를 예측하고 매크로(Macro) 트랜드의 전략적 방향성과 목표를 설정하는데 사용된다. 하지만, 대부분의 기업에서는 해당 기술의 논문이나 특허 분석, 전문가 델파이에 주로 의존하는 정성적인 방법을 통하여 제품-기술로드맵을 개발하고 있다. 본 연구는 가트너의 하이프 사이클과 누적이동평균 기반 데이터 전처리, 딥러닝(LSTM) 시계열 분석 기법을 융합하여 자동차 산업 중심으로 제품-기술로드맵을 보완하고 강화시킬 수 있는 시뮬레이션을 통하여 실증 연구를 진행하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 실증 연구는 자동차 산업 뿐만 아니라, 범용적으로 타제조업 분야에서도 사용 가능할 수 있다. 또한, 기업적인 측면에서는 그동안 정성적인 방법에 의존하던 로드맵 작성 방법에서 탈피하여 좀 더 정확한 제품-기술로드맵을 통하여 적기에 시장에 제품을 제공함으로써 선도업체로 나아가기 위한 밑거름이 될 것이라고 사료된다.

제품안전분야의 국내표준 개발을 위한 로드맵의 개발 (Development of a Road-map for Promoting Product Safety Standards)

  • In 2002 Product Liability Act newly got into effect in Korea so that efforts for Product Safety got a new chance to promote safety standardization. Under the supervision of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (ATS) and the Korea Standards Association (KSA), the enterprise titled "Standardization of Product Safety" took the first step in 2000. Thenceforth a lot of standards and guidelines for product safety have been developed. The results of the enterprise were in the type of technical manual as well as report, technical guidelines, and specific technical safety standards. In this paper, the authors narrated those sequential efforts for Product Safety, and introduced the basic concept on which standardization of Product Safety Management System was conducted and individual safety standard has been developed. Based on this systematic concept, a global road-map as well as specific road-maps for developing safety standards in individual industry were supplied. Finally, suggestions for proceeding to the whole risk management system including other risky factors were appended.
