Study of Behaviors of Teachers' Evaluation Based on Algebra Classrooms

  • Through quantitative video analysis of four algebra classes and statistical analysis of various types of teacher evaluation behavior in the classroom teaching, we get: (1) Teacher evaluation behavior in classroom is close to take 1/5 of the total time of the classroom teaching, and it appears most frequently in class exercises and take the longest time; (2) There are many forms of teacher evaluation behavior in classroom, and most of the behaviors are positive assessment; (3) Recognition evaluation is relatively conservative in a single form without losing fairness; (4) Classroom assessments of teachers' behaviors are primarily concerned about students' knowledge and skills mastery, and it is less involved in student feelings, attitudes and behaviors; (5) The correct teacher evaluation behavior in classroom will inspire students to create internal motivations; and (6) The correct teacher evaluation behavior in classroom can stimulate the potential of students.

초등학교 수학과 반성적 교수 과정 중 교사의 사고에 대한 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Two Elementary School Mathematics Teachers' Beliefs during Their Reflective Teaching)

  • 반성적 교수는 최근 교사의 수업 전문성 신장측면에서 다방면으로 연구되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 초등학교 수학과의 반성적 교수 과정에서 나타나는 초임교사와 경력교사의 사고를 사례 연구의 방법을 사용하여 조사하였다. 자료 분석 결과 반성적 교수 초기에는 초임교사의 경우 수업 중 오류 발견의 빈도가 적었고 자신감 부족으로 인해 반성의 결과를 적극적으로 수업에 적용하지 못한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이에 비해 경력교사는 초임교사보다 수업 중 오류 발견의 빈도가 높았으며 자신감과 확신으로 인해 반성의 빈도가 높지 않았다. 두 교사는 반성적 교수에의 참여가 증대할수록 공통적으로 교과 전문가 조언의 필요성을 느끼게 되었으며, 교사 중심의 수업보다는 점차적으로 학생들과의 상호작용을 중시하는 방향으로 수업을 전개하였다. 아울러, 초임교사는 학생들과의 상호작용 빈도가 경력교사에 비하여 상대적으로 높아지게 되었고, 경력교사는 반성의 빈도가 높아지게 되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 논문은 추후 초임교사와 경력교사 간의 상호 협력적 수업 반성 및 수업 개선을 위한 각종 시사점들을 제시하고 있다.

자동 연마 시스템의 사용자 지향형 통합 프로그램 및 자동 교시 시스템 개발 (Development of An User-Friendly Integrated Program and Teaching System for Automatic Polishing Robot System)

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor environment caused by dust and noise. In order to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers, a user-friendly automatic polishing system was developed in this research. The polishing system with five degrees of freedom is able to keep the polishing tool normal to the die surface. The polishing system is controlled by a PC-NC controller. To easily operate the developed polishing robot system, this study developed an integrated program in the Windows environment. This program consists of four modules: the polishing module, the graphic simulator, the polishing data generation module, and the teaching module. Also, the automatic teaching system was developed to easily obtain teaching data and it consists of a three dimensional joystick and a proximity sensor. The joystick is used to simultaneously drive the polishing system to an arbitrary orientation and the proximity sensor is used to obtain teaching points precisely. Also, to evaluate the stability of the driving program and the teaching system, polishing experiments of a die of saddle shape were carried out.

초임 유소년 축구지도자의 교수경험 탐색 (Exploring Beginning youth Football Coach's Experience in Teaching)

  • 본 연구는 초임 유소년 축구지도자들의 교수 경험을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 의도적 표집방법으로 선수경력 10년이상, 지도경력 5년 미만, 대한축구협회 지도자 자격증 C급 이상 취득자 중 U-12팀에 등록된 지도자 4명을 선정하여, 심층면담을 실시하였다. 이에 연구문제에 따라 분석 범주와 분석단위를 범주화하였고, 귀납적 방법을 통해 자료분석을 진행하였다. 연구결과 유소년축구지도자들은 과거 자신의 경험을 토대로 '나는 안그래야겠다', '나는 할 수 있다'는 마음가짐으로 지도자를 시작하고 있었다. 이들은 지도 현장에서 의사소통방법, 교수학습 방법에 대한 부족함, 미래에 대한 불확실함으로 어려움을 느끼고 있었지만, 가르침에서의 보람을 느끼며 전문성을 갖추기 위해 노력하고 있었다. 이에 따라 유소년 축구지도자에 대한 처우개선 및 지도자양성제도 내 프로그램 개선을 논의하였다.

A comparative study of quality of life of patients with maxillofacial fracture and healthy controls at two tertiary healthcare institutions

  • Objectives: Despite treatment, the pre-traumatic facial appearance of patients with maxillofacial fractures might not be able to be restored, and this difference can affect the person's quality of life (QoL). This study was designed to evaluate changes in QoL of people with maxillofacial fractures. Materials and Methods: The study population was comprised of participants with maxillofacial fracture and age- and sex-matched healthy controls without history of such fracture. QoL was measured using the World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire, which was administered to the patients before treatment (Time 1), at 6 weeks post-treatment (Time 2), and at 12 weeks postoperatively (Time 3). The values were compared with those of healthy controls. The QoL was compared between closed reduction group and open reduction and internal fixation group. Results: The QoL scores of people with maxillofacial fracture before treatment were significantly lower (P=0.001) than those of healthy controls in all domains of the WHOQOL-BREF. The QoL scores in the psychological and social domains of patients with maxillofacial fracture at Time 3 were still lower than those of healthy controls (P=0.001). Conclusion: The QoL of patients with maxillofacial fracture was significantly reduced before treatment in all domains and remained reduced in both psychological and social domains weeks after treatment. Therefore, clinicians must be aware of and manage the residual psychosocial issues that can accompany the post-treatment period of maxillofacial injury.

일개 종합병원 외래환자의 진료시간 및 진료대기시간 영향요인 분석 (Factors influencing consultation time and waiting time of ambulatory patients in a tertiary teaching hospital)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics influencing consultation and waiting time in ambulatory patients. Methods : This study was conducted in a tertiary teaching hospital. Subjects were a total of 10,383 ambulatory patients. Consultation time was measured by time spent for meeting with his/her physician per patient. Waiting time was defined as the time difference between each patient's reserved time and time to meet with his/her physician for ambulatory care. Multiple regression analyses were performed to determine the factors influencing consultation and waiting time. Results : Consultation time was different according to patient' age, previous experience of clinic visit, recent admission history, medical department, specialist care, type of reservation, and day of the week. Significant factors influencing waiting time were patient' age, residential area, previous experience of clinic visit, recent admission history, medical department, specialist care, time spent after ambulatory care begins, and day of the week. Conclusions : The medical department was the strongest factor affecting both consultation time and waiting time. The ambulatory reservation management systems should take into account patient characteristics as well as care-related features.

Dynamic Adjustment Strategy of n-Epidemic Routing Protocol for Opportunistic Networks: A Learning Automata Approach

  • In order to improve the energy efficiency of n-Epidemic routing protocol in opportunistic networks, in which a stable end-to-end forwarding path usually does not exist, a novel adjustment strategy for parameter n is proposed using learning atuomata principle. First, nodes dynamically update the average energy level of current environment while moving around. Second, nodes with lower energy level relative to their neighbors take larger n avoiding energy consumption during message replications and vice versa. Third, nodes will only replicate messages to their neighbors when the number of neighbors reaches or exceeds the threshold n. Thus the number of message transmissions is reduced and energy is conserved accordingly. The simulation results show that, n-Epidemic routing protocol with the proposed adjustment method can efficiently reduce and balance energy consumption. Furthermore, the key metric of delivery ratio is improved compared with the original n-Epidemic routing protocol. Obviously the proposed scheme prolongs the network life time because of the equilibrium of energy consumption among nodes.

웹 기반 프로그래밍 과목의 효과적인 강의 전략 (Effective Strategies for Teaching a Web-based Programming Course)

  • 언제 어디서나 적은 비용으로 프로그래밍을 배우고자 하는 수요가 늘어남에 따라 웹 기반의 프로그래밍 강의가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 일반적으로 웹 기반으로 프로그래밍을 가르치는 것은 매우 어렵다. 따라서 이 강의를 효과적으로 가르치기 위한 방법들에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문은 관련 문헌들과 수년 간에 걸쳐 웹 기반으로 프로그래밍 과목을 가르친 경험에 기초하여 효과적인 웹 기반의 프로그래밍 강의 전략을 제시한다. 먼저 프로그래밍 교과목의 특성과 학습자들의 특징을 고려하고 프로그래밍 능력을 개발하기 위한 교안 설계 전략을 제시한다. 다음으로 그 과목의 효과적인 평가 및 운영 전략을 제시한다. 마지막으로 제안된 전략들에 따라 진행된 최근 강의의 성적 평가와 운영 결과를 분석한다. 이는 웹 기반 강의의 교육 효과를 높일 수 있음을 보여 준다.
