테이퍼 베어링 유닛의 내구수명 예측 (Endurance Life Estimation of Taper Bearing Units)

  • An automotive wheel bearing is one of the most important components to guarantee the service life of a passenger car. The endurance life of a bearing is affected by many parameters such as material properties, heat treatment, lubrication conditions, temperature, loading conditions, bearing geometry, internal clearance and so on. Generally, a tapered roller bearing gives longer endurance life than that of an equivalent size ball bearing. Consequently, the application of taper bearing units will be increased for more compact design and extended warranty. In this paper, we derive the relation between loads and deformations of a taper bearing unit. On the basis of that, we calculate the endurance life of the taper bearing unit considering initial axial clearance.

곡률 변화형 테이피를 이용한 도파관-마이크로스트립 트랜지션 (A Waveguide-Microstrip Transition using Curvature Variable Taper)

  • A curvature variable taper is proposed for a waveguide-microstrip transition. It is applied to a ridge waveguide. The curvature depends on the taper length and difference of waveguide's height and microstrip substrate's height. The taper is manufactured easier than the other tapers. It's reflection coefficient is smaller than the parabolic taper's below one wavelengrh. The results of experiment show that S$_{11}$ is below -20dB and SS$_{21}$ is about -0.5dB in the band of 10~15 GHz. These results are good agreement with the theoritical values.

  • Granular Compaction Pile are commonly used to improve bearing capacity and reduce settlements of soft soil in coastal and lowland areas. In this paper, through the field load test results of straight granular compaction piles and taper granular compaction piles, material properties of ground and GCP for numerical analysis were drawn and numerical model was established. In the numerical analysis of taper granular compaction piles with 3 different sections, a optimum dimension of taper granular compaction pile was considered at the side of settlement.

공작기계 주축 테이퍼 결합부 정강성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Static Stiffness in the Main Spindle Taper of Machine Tool)

  • This paper presents the experimental study of the static stiffness for the BT shank(7/24 long taper) and the HSK tool shank(1/10 short taper) in the main spindle taper of machine tool. The static stif71ess test was performed under different experimental conditions. It is turned out that the effective axial drawing force is larger than 6kN in the 7/24 test tool shank and BkN in the 1/10 test tool shank. As a test result, considering that the actual drawing force of the machining center is about 1300k2f and axal drawing force 12kN is equivalent amount as a 1220kgf, it is turned out that 1/10 test tool shank superior to 7/24 test tool shank in the static stiffness.

브레이드 외형(外形)이 풍력(風力) 터어빈의 공력(空力) 성능(性能)에 미치는 영향 (Aerodynamic Performance of a Wind-Turbine Affected by Blade Configuration)

  • This paper presents the aerodynamic performances of horizontal axis wind turbines with non-twisted but taperd blades. Five configurations of blades, namely, one straight blade and four tapered blades with taper ratio of ranging from 0.1 to 0.7 have been simulated. The aerodynamic performances of the wind turbines have been determined over blade incidence angle of ranging from $2^{\circ}$ to $6^{\circ}$ and keeping same solidity and radius of them. The results are presented comparing straight blade from four tapered blades for maximum power coefficient and tip looses against variation of taper ratio. It also shows that the wind turbine with taper ratio of 0.5 has the highest maximum power coefficient than others. And wind turbines with taper ratio below 0.2 have lower values of maximum power coefficients than straight one. The tip loss of straight blade is the largest and reduces Slightly with the decrementation of taper ratio.

ISC 밸브용 테이퍼 플런저형 비례전자석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Taper Plunger Type Proportional Electromagnet for ISC Valve)

  • On this study, magnetic force versus input currents is analyzed by modeling taper plunger type proportional electromagnet of ISC valve using the permernce method. And, the reliabiliy of simulation is verified by comparing the experimental values with the calaulate magnetic force. From the result of this study, it is found that the taper angles at plunger and core, the length of air gap between plunger and yoke are the prumary factors in designing taper plunget type proportional electromagnet. Magnetic force is decreased as a whole according to increasing the air gap between pluger and yoke, and vise versa. But, the magnetic force is not proportional to current, when the air gap is very small. In case of decreasing the taper angle of pluger, the stroke range of plunger where magnetic force is proportional to current becomes farther from core.

만곡 근관에서 근첨 형성 크기에 따른 근관의 전이 정도에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE DEGREE OF CANAL TRANSPORTATION ACCORDING TO THE APICAL PREPARATION SIZE IN A CURVED CANAL)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 만곡 근관에서 다양한 크기로 근첨을 형성하였을 때 형성 전후의 근관의 전이 정도를 분석하고자 하는 것이다. 만곡된 근관을 가진 투명한 레진블럭 상에서 ProFile .06 taper와 K-flexofile을 이용하여 각각 근관형성을 시행하고 이를 똑같은 위치가 재현가능한 고정틀에 위치시킨 후 사진의 이중노출 기법을 이용하여 근관형성 전후의 근관의 전이정도를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. ProFile의 경우 형성된 근관이 taper한데 비해 K-flexofiles의 경우 형성된 근관이 taper하지 못하고 확대가 더 컸다. K-flexofiles의 경우 ProFile의 경우보다 근첨 0~6mm 부위에서 유의하게 더 굵었다(p<0.05). 2. 만곡외측으로의 확대양상은 ProFile의 경우 대체적으로 taper하나 근첨 3~4mm부위가 약간 굵었다. K-flexofile의 경우 만곡외측으로의 확대양상은 taper하지 못하고 불규칙하였다. ProFile에 비해 근첨 0~2mm에서 유의하게 확대가 더 컸다(p<0.05). 3. 만곡내측으로의 확대양상은 모든 군에서 taper하였으나 K-flexofile의 경우 ProFile의 경우보다 확대가 더 컸다. K-flexofile의 경우 ProFile에 비해 근첨 3~5mm부위에서 유의하게 확대가 더 컸다(p<0.05).

  • Dislodgement of a crown or extension bridge and the loosening of a retainer of a bridge is a serious clinical problem in fixed restoration. Generally these problems are considered to be associated with deformation of the restoration. During biting, the restoration is subjected to complex forces and deforms considerably within the limit of its elasticity. Deformation of the restoration under the occlusal force induces excessive stress in the cement film, which then leads to the cement fracture. Such a fracture may eventually cause loss of the restoration. Because most of the past retention tests for full veneer crown were done without fatigue loading, they were not exactly simulating intraoral environment. And the purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of cyclic cantilever loading on the retentive strength of full veneer crowns depending on different type of cements and taper of prepared abutment. Steel dies with $8^{\circ}\;or\;16^{\circ}$ convergence angle were fabricated through milling and crowns with the same method. These dies and crowns were divided into 8 groups. Group 1 : $16^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with zinc phosphate cement, without loading Group 2 : $16^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with zinc phosphate cement, with loading Group 3 : $8^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with zinc phosphate cement, without loading Group 4 : $8^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with zinc phosphate cement, with loading Group 5 : $16^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with Panavia 21, without loading Group 6 : $16^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with Panavia 21, with loading Group 7 : $8^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with Panavia 21 without loading Group 8 : $8^{\circ}$ taper die, cementation with Panavia 21, with loading After checking the fit of die and crown, the luting surface of dies and inner surface of crowns were air-abraded for 10 seconds. The crowns were cemented to the dies, with cements mixed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. A static load of 5kg was then applied for 10 minutes with static loading device. Twenty-four hours later, group 1, 3, 5, 7 were only thermocycled, group 2, 4, 6, 8 were subjected to cyclic loading after thermocycling. Retentive tests were performed on the Instron machine. From the finding of this study, the following conclusions were obtained 1. Panavia 21 showed significantly higher retentive strength than zinc phosphate cement for all groups (p<0.05). 2. There was a significant difference in the retentive strength between $8^{\circ}\;and\;16^{\circ}$ taper for zinc phosphate cement(p<0.05), but no significant difference for Panavia 21 (p>0.05). 3. Cyclic loading significantly decreased the retentive strength for all groups(p<0.05). 4. For zinc phosphate cement, there was 35% reduction of the retentive strength after loading in the $16^{\circ}$ taper die, 25% in the $8^{\circ}$ taper die, and for Panavia 21, 21% in the $16^{\circ}$ taper die, 18% in the $8^{\circ}$ taper die.

변단면 전조 가공 철근이음 연결방법의 성능 평가 (Mechanical Performance Evaluation of Rolling Thread Steel Rebar Connection with Taper type Coupler)

  • 콘크리트 구조물에서는 인장응력에 대한 저항과 콘크리트내의 하중전달을 위한 철근이음이 고려되어야 한다. 현재 사용되고 있는 철근의 이음방법으로는 전통적으로 사용되는 겹침이음과 함께 채움금속이음을 갖는 슬리브이음과 전조 평행나사 이음과 같은 기계적 철근연결방법 등이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 기존에 사용되고 있는 기계적 철근 이음의 시공성과 구조적 성능을 개선하기 위하여 전조 변단면 철근이음을 제안하고 이를 적용한 철근의 구조성능과 파괴거동을 평가하기 위하여 철근연결 종류 및 체결 특성을 고려한 인장강도 실험과 휨하중 실험을 실시하였다. 이를 통하여 제안된 전조 변단면 이음을 적용한 철근의 인장강도 및 휨성능을 비교 평가하였다. 본 연구결과 전조변단면 이음을 적용한 철근이 이음이 없는 철근과 비교하여 동일한 구조성능을 가지는 것으로 나타나 철근콘크리트 구조물의 철근 이음을 위하여 사용할 수 있을 것이다.

내부 응력이 .06 taper ProFile의 피로 파절에 미치는 영향 (Effect of internal stress on cyclic fatigue failure in .06 taper ProFile)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relation between intentionally induced internal stress and cyclic fatigue failure of .06 taper ProFile. Materials and Methods: Length 25 mm, .06 taper ProFile (Dentsply Maillefer), and size 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 were used in this study. To give the internal stress, the rotary NiTi files were put into the .02 taper, Endo-Training-Bloc (Dentsply Maillefer) until auto-stop by torque controlled motor. Rotary NiTi files were grouped by the number of induced internal stress and randomly distributed among one control group and three experimental groups (n = 10, Stress 0 [control], Stress 1, Stress 2 and Stress 3). For cyclic fatigue measurement, time for separation of the rotary NiTi files was recorded. The fractured surfaces were observed by field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM, SU-70, Hitachi). The time for separation was statistically analyzed using two-way ANOVA and post-hoc Scheffe test at 95% level. Results: In .06 taper ProFile size 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40, there were statistically significant difference on time for separation between control group and the other groups (p < 0.05). Conclusion: In the limitation of this study, cyclic fatigue failure of .06 taper ProFile is influenced by internal stress accumulated in the files.
