맥파전달속도 계산을 위한 특징점 검출 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Characteristic Point Detection Algorithm for the Calculation of Pulse Wave Velocity)

  • Shape of the pulse waveform is affected by the visco-elasticity characteristics of the arterial wall and the reflection waves generated at the bifurcations of arterial branches. This study was designed to improve the accuracy for the extraction of pulse wave features, then proved the superiority of the developed algorithm by clinical evaluation. Upstroke point of the pulse wave was used as an extraction feature since it is minimally affected by the waveform variation. R-peak of the ECG was used as a reference to decide the minimum level, then intersection of the least squares of regression line was used as an upstroke point. Developed algorithm was compared with the existing minimum value detection algorithm and tangent-intersection algorithm using data obtained from 102 subjects. Developed algorithm showed the least standard deviation of $0.29{\sim}0.44\;m/s$ compared with that of the existing algorithms, $0.91{\sim}3.66\;m/s$. Moreover, the rate of standard deviation of more than 1.00m/s for the PWV values reduced with the range of $29.0{\sim}42.4%$, which proved the superiority of the newly developed algorithm.

  • Unlike artificially created homogeneous materials, the process of calculating the elastic modulus of natural soil involves the possibility of errors. Because the stress-strain behavior of soil is nonlinear, the secant modulus of elasticity is often used based on 1/2 of the stress at failure. Since soil has the property of changing its elastic modulus depending on the confining pressure, numerical analysis models that analyze its behavior inevitably include complex elements. The hyperbolic model, which relatively accurately simulates the behavior immediately after loading in soft ground, assumes that the stress-strain curve of the consolidated undrained triaxial test is hyperbolic and requires the slope of the tangent line at the starting point. However, the slope of the initial tangent in the stress-strain curve obtained from an actual triaxial test is difficult to have regularity according to changes in confining pressure. Additionally, due to the characteristics of a hyperbola, even small changes in related factors cause large changes in the hyperbola. Therefore, there is a lot of randomness in the process of calculating model parameters from the triaxial test results, which causes large differences in the results. Therefore, the method of calculating the initial elastic modulus by the consolidation test presented in this study is also used to verify the method by the triaxial test. It can be applied. However, since this study was applied to only one sample showing typical consolidation characteristics, it is necessary to check samples with various physical properties in the future.

Biarc 곡선보간에 의한 캠 부품형상 가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Machining of Cam Profile Part by Basic Interpolation Method)

  • For machining auto-mobile cam, the developed biarcs-fitting method eliminates the ridge problems in conventional straight-line fitting approximation or single-arc fitting of curve tool path where it leaves ridges of tool marks on the machined surface of the workpiece. The powerful advantage of this biarc method is demonstrated by applying it to the numerically controlled machining of a curved cam profile, also verified by using a CNC simulating program for auto-mobile cam profile. As a result, this algorithm may be used in CNC milling and turning for cam profile machining with short block line.

  • We analyzed wideband propagation characteristics of a microstrip transmission line based on FR-4 composite substrate using the wideband complex dielectric constant model and the phenomenological loss equivalence method. The loss calculated by constant relative permittivity and loss tangent is greatly overestimatd compared to that calculated by the frequency-dependent complex relative permittivity. This wideband analysis can be helpful to characterize high-speed and high-density transmission lines associated with the wideband dielectric characteristics and shows that the FR-4 composite substrate has high potential of high frequency circuit applications in terms o fthe propagation loss.

준고속 열차 대차의 Stabilizer 주행성능 분석 (The Dynamic Performance Analysis of Bogie Stabilizer)

  • The sophisticated technologies, ensuring both stability and curving performance, are required for the medium high speed train running on conventional railway line where tangent and curved section mixed together. We can hardly meet the both requirements conflicting each other with the conventional type of bogie. Effective solution is to apply stabilizing mechanism for the bogie design, which increase hunting stability or dynamically critical speed while maintaining curving performance. In this research the numerical analysis by means of multi-body dynamic simulation S/W, experiments by using roller test rig and main line running test have been comprehensively performed for the 200km/h Korean Tilting Train with newly developed stabilizer. The paper proposes the effectiveness of stabilizer and its usefulness based on the results of analyses.

안면비대칭 환자의 natural head position에 대한 정모두부방사선사진 연구 (Frontal Cephalogram Study on The Natural Head Position of Facial Asymmetry Patients)

  • 본 연구는 안면비대칭 환자의 natural head position(NHP)시 정면에서의 두부 또는 경추의 경사 정도를 알아봄으로써 교정환자의 임상검사시 비대칭의 진단에 도움이 되고자 시행되었다. 두드러진 전후방 골격 이상은 없으나 뚜렷한 좌우 안면비대칭을 보이는 성인 20명을 비대칭군으로, 좌우 대칭적인 외모와 비교적 정상교합을 보이는 성인 21명 을 대칭군으로 선정 한 다음 물방울 수평계를 이용하여 NHP 상태의 정모두부방사선사진을 촬영하고 투사도를 작성하였다. Crista galli와 anterior nasal spine을 연결한 선과 crista galli와 menton을 연결한 선이 이루는 각을 menton의 변위 정도로 정하고, 좌우 supra-orbital margin의 최상방점을 지나는 supra-orbital line과, 제1경추와 제4경추의 중심을 연결한 cervical line이 각각 true vertical line과 이루는 각을 계측한 다음 이들간의 상관관계를 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Supra-orbital line이 true vortical line과 이루는 각이 직각에서 벗어난 정도가 대칭군에 비하여 비대칭군에서 통계적으로 유의하게 크게 나타났다. 2. Cervical line이 true vertical line과 이루는 각은 통계적 유의차는 없었으나 비대칭군에서 더 큰 경향을 보였다. 3. 비대칭군에서 supra-orbital line이 true vortical line과 이루는 각이 직각에서 벗어난 정도는 menton의 변위 정도와 통계적으로 유의한 순상관관계를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 안면비대칭 환자는 menton의 변위를 보상하려는 방향으로 기울어진 NHP를 가지는 경향이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

KTX차량의 주행 안전성 해석 (Analysis on Running Safety for KTX Vehicle)

  • KTX 인수시험 시 차량 후미부에서 횡진동이 발생하여, 차륜의 답면구배를 1/40에서 1/20로 변경하여 횡진동 문제를 해결하였다. 그러나 차륜의 답면구배를 변경하면 차량의 임계속도 및 주행 안전성에 영향을 미치기 때문에 1/20 차륜에 대한 주행 안전성에 대한 검토 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 VAMPIRE를 이용하여 KTX 1편성 20량을 모델화하여 주행 안전성 및 임계속도를 계산하였으며, 계산결과의 타당성을 검토하기 위해서 KHST차량의 시험결과와 비교하였다. 해석결과 차륜답면이 0.3인 경우 임계속도는 375km/h이상이었으며, 차륜의 답면구배가 1/20인 경우 1/40보다 곡선 추정성이 우수한 것을 알았다. 또한 기존선 주행 시 차량의 속도향상 가능성을 파악하기 위해서 계산한 결과 직선구간에는 10%속도 향상이 가능하지만, 곡선구간에는 기존차량의 속도와 동일하게 운행하는 것이 유리하다는 것을 알았다.

LOCATING AND COUNTING BIFURCATION POINTS OF SATELLITE COMPONENTS FROM THE MAIN COMPONENT IN THE DEGREE-n BIFURCATION SET

  • The bifurcation point where a satellite component buds from another component is characterized by the existence of the common tangent line between the two osculating components appearing in the degree-n bifurcation set. We investigate the existence, location and number of bifurcation points for satellite components budding from the main component in the degree-n bifurcation set as well as a parametric boundary equation of the main component of the degree-n bifurcation set. Cusp points are also located on the boundary of the main component. Typical degree-n bifurcation sets and their components are illustrated with some computational results.

교각에 의한 하상선굴에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the River-Bed Scouring by the Pier)

  • Presented is the results of a model study about scouring around a bridge pier. 24 different types of piers were inestigated for the depth and width of scouring. The grain size of sand used in the experiment ranges from 0.149 to 2, 380mm, The time required to reach the stable bed formation was about 30min, with the range of Froud number from 0.58 to 0.69. It has been found that the scouring is most severe at the frontal side of the pier and decreases with decreasing a contact angle (between the center line of the pier and tangent to the frontal face). For design purposes, it is recomanded that the contact angle at the frontal face is 25 degrees for a triangular type and 40 deyrees for a circular type respectively.
