Validation of Korea Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment. (한국 초.중.고등학생용 부모애착척도의 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean version of Inventory of Parent Attachment(K-IPA), The first version of K-IPA was developed through the process of translation and tack translation of items of parent attachment from Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (Armsden & Greenberg, 1986), content validation test with 30 elementary school children, and content validation test with an expert group. The validation test with 964 students (emementary, middle, high school) confirmed all 25 items(each items were asked for mother and father) were appropriate and reliable, K-IPA consists of three different sub-scales, 10 items for trust scale, 9 items for communication scale, and 6 items isolation across all age groups.

The Relationship between Depression, Cognitive Failure, Mistakes, and Accidents of the Train Drivers: The Moderating Effect of Self-Efficacy (철도기관사의 우울증세, 인지실패, 실수와 사고 간의 관계: 자기효능감의 조절효과)

  • In Korean society, the theme of human errors in railway has been emerging as a critical issue. As far as human error studies are concerned, main trend has been inclined to be led by industrial engineering and systems science. Apart from those trends, this study empirically highlighted the relationship between depression, which has been a frequent research subject in the medical science and psychology, and accidents, with setting depression as an exogenous variable and cognitive failure and mistake as endogenous variables, respectively. Results of hypotheses test for the 204 respondents showed that driver's depression has a significant effect on accidents mediated by cognitive failure and mistake. This findings suggest the need for exploring the diverse latent factors causing human errors and for understanding the complex cognitive process as well as for establishing integrative countermeasures to mitigate human errors.

Evaluation in ELISA for the Residue Analysis of Metalaxyl in Crops (작물체중 Metalaxyl 의 잔류분석을 위한 ELISA의 응용)

  • The cross-reactivities of antibody derived from rabbit immunized with metalaxyl-HSA conjugate were identified to 44% and 28% for metalaxyl acid and metolachlor respectively. The detection range of metalaxyl in competitive ELISA was 5 ppb to 5 ppm. The recoveries of metalaxyl in ELISA for 6 crops; potato, sesame, pepper, cabbage, cucumber and onion was ranged 77.5-103.6%. In this test, CV% were calculated below 10% except for sesame sample as shown 21.5%.

Preliminary Results of Clinical Application with a New Temporary Vocal Fold Injection Material : Radiesse Lite (새로운 임시적 성대 주입물 : Radiesse Lite에 대한 예비 임상실험)

  • Background and Objectives : Temporary vocal fold injection is not only performed to restore the laryngeal function in temporary unilateral vocal fold paralysis or paresis, but also performed as a test injection prior to the permanent injection. Gelfoam has been safely used for the past several decades for the temporary vocal fold augmentation. Recently, we found a new material, called Radieses Lite, may be used as a temporary injection material. Material and Methods : We report preliminary results of 11 patients who had Radiesse Lite injection with a variety of pathologies. Results : Based on the results from the 6 patients who completed follow-up, the duration of effectiveness of Radiesse Lite seems to be from 2 to 3 months depending on the injection amount. Radiesse Lite satisfies several requirements of the ideal temporary vocal fold injection material in terms of injectability, convenience, duration of effectiveness and safety. Conclusion : The authors concluded that Radiesse Lite might be a good option for temporary vocal fold injection especially in the office setting.

  • Hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) is the most common cause of acute renal failure in young children. It is classically characterized by the triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and uremia. Further, not only is intussusception one of the differential diagnoses of HUS but it may also become a complication during disease progression. We report a case of HUS. preceded by intussusception in a previously healthy 17-month-old boy. The patient presented at the emergency department with bloody stools that developed the day after reduction of intussusception. HUS was diagnosed 4 days after the reduction of intussusception. The patient was provided only supportive care and his laboratory test findings were normal at discharge.

Effects of the Movement Strategies on Functional Forward Reach in Standing (운동전략이 기립자세의 기능적 전방 팔뻗기에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine whether movement strategies affect functional forward reach distance in a standing position. Forty-seven healthy subjects were selected for this study: 23 men and 24 women, with an average age of 22.3. Functional forward reach distances were measured as hip strategy and squat strategy (included knee and ankle movement strategy) in a standing position, respectively. The mean values of functional forward reach distance in hip strategy, squat strategy were 33.57 cm, 29.48 cm, respectively. There was significantly difference in functional forward reach distance between hip strategy and squat strategy(p<.001). There was no difference of functional forward reach distance between male and female in hip strategy, but there was significant difference in other strategy(p<.05). These results suggest that movement strategies should be considered during functional forward reach test in standing. Further study is required to determine whether movement strategies affect functional reach distance in elderly and disabled groups.

  • Amphibious possible, and good fuel economy, so as leisure and transport has increased the use of hovercraft. Fire started in Korea, the prevalence is increasing in demand as the trend has been increasing steadily. In this paper, the hovercraft's forward and backward direction can be controlled in order to free the reverse bucket control system was developed. Control due to development by promoting the flow of air and turn right, turn left and easy to reverse the life-saving and stable at high speed, etc. has made possible the operation of hovercraft. The controller for the stability and fast response Fuzzy-PID method was used. To prove the validity of the proposed controller in Matlab simulation and the actual delivery at the firehouse, built into a model for the demonstration test was performed.

The Effect of Psychological Fatigue Caused by Emergency Stress on Safety Behavior and Accidents: Focused on the Subway Train Drivers (이례상황 스트레스에 따른 심리적 피로가 안전행동과 사고에 미치는 영향: A지하철 기관사를 중심으로)

  • This study highlights the theme of human error of train drivers, conducting empirical analysis on the relationship between emergency stress, psychological fatigue, safety behavior, and accident. The hypothetical test results based on questionnaires received from 223 train drivers working at A subway firm indicate that emergency stress shows a significant positive effect on psychological fatigue, which in turn shows a significant negative influence on safety behavior. And safety behavior is shown having a significant negative relationship with accident. These results suggest the necessity of corporate-level approaches to depict the drastic causes of drivers' emergency stress, and to effectively manage this stress, as well as the necessity of making effort to enhance safety behavior, and to prevent or reduce accidents.

Adsorption Property of Silicone Rubber Sticking Chuck for OLED Glass Substrate

  • Manufacturing process of OLED contains adsorption-desorption process of glass substrate. There are several adsorption methods of glass substrate such as atmospheric pressure, vacuum and electrostatic adsorption. However, these methods are very complex to connect system. Therefore, the adsorption method using silicone rubber based sticking chuck was proposed in this study. Three types of silicone rubbers having 0, 19.3 and 32.2 wt% of fluorine were used and their mechanical properties, surface energies and adsorption properties were examined. According to the results ${\sigma}_{300}$ and hardness increased with increasing fluorine contents, but elongation was decreased. Also, fluorosilicone rubber containing 32.2 wt% of fluorine showed the lowest surface tension, among three types of rubber and resulted in the highest initial tack with glass substrate. After the adsorption-desorption test of 300,000 cycles was performed, the adsorption force of S-1 (silicone rubber) decreased largely from 2.34 to 0.73 MPa. However, the S-3 (fluorosilicone rubber having 32.2 wt%. of fluorine) decreased only from 3.15 to 2.24 MPa. From this study, we obtained the valuable equations related to long term durability of silicone based sticking chuck. Finally the transfer of silicone rubber to glass substrate with the adsorption-desorption process was not occurred and this phenomenon was examined by UV-Visible spectroscopy.

Action Mechanism of Transfructosylation Catalyzed by Microbacterium laevaniformans Levansucrase

  • Microbacterium laevaniformans levansucrase synthesized various hetero-oligosaccharides by transferring fructosyl residue from sucrose to various saccharides as acceptors. The acceptor specificity test showed that reducing saccharides were more favorable acceptors than nonreducing saccharides. The transfructosylated product, fructosyl galactose, was produced in the presence of D-galactose as an acceptor. The chemical structure of the resulting fructosyl galactose was analyzed by yeast invertase and NMR, and identified as O-$\alpha$-D-galactosyl-(1${\to}$2)-$\beta$-D-fructofuranoside. These results indicate that the main transfructosylation activity of the enzyme is to make nonreducing transferred products via a transfer of fructosyl residue to acceptor molecules having reducing group. When nonreducing sugars, such as methyl $\alpha$-D-glucoside and methyl $\alpha$-D-galactoside, were used as an acceptor, the transfer product was also formed in spite of the reducing group blocked with methyl group. The fact that no transfer product was formed with sugar alcohols as acceptors was suggested to be due to marked conformational difference of acceptors.
