Design of Bowing-Activity Monitoring and Automatic Detection System Using 3-Axis Accelerometer (3축-가속도 센서를 이용한 배례(拜禮)동작 모니터링 및 자동검출 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, a new reliable portable activity monitoring device implemented with the buddhist-style bowing activity and walking step detection algorithm, is presented. In order to monitor the bowing and walking activities, miniaturized 3-axis accelerometer sensor with the sensitivity of 800 mV/g was used. After initial signal conditioning, vector magnitude of accelerometer signals was calculated. Syntactic peak detection method was used in order to feature points. All signal processing algorithms were implemented in ultra-low power microcontroller MSP430 with double precision floating point arithmetic. For evaluation, 19 young man($24.22\pm5.22$ yrs) and woman($22.28\pm2.72$ yrs) were involved. The accuracy of the proposed algorithms were 98.91 %($\pm0.011$) for walking step detection and 98.25 %($\pm0.023$) for buddhist-style bowing activity. Comparing to the commercialized pedometer accuracy, 87.1 %($\pm0.058$), the proposed walking step detection algorithms show more reliable accuracy.

  • In developing a Korean database interfacing system exist many difficult problems which are not usually pointed out in developing an English version. Basically the difficulty in implementing deep level Korean database interfacing system lies in the fact that Korean has fewer syntactic restrictions. This means that while less burden will be placed on semantic analysis more burden will be placed on contextual processing for Korean when compared to English. This paper discusses various difficulties which we came across while developing a prototype Korean DB interfacing system (the Korean Core L Language Engine) especially focusing on issues of representing and resolving Quasi Logical Forms.

A Study on Natural Language Keyword Indexing for Web-based Information Retrieval (웹기반 정보검색을 위한 자연어 키워드 색인에 관한 연구)

  • Information retrieval system with indexing system matching single keyword is simple and popular. But with single keyword matching it is very hard to represent the exact meaning of documents and the set of documents from retrieval is very large, therefore it can't satisfy the user of the information retrieval systems. This paper proposes a phrase-based indexing system based on the phrase, the larger syntax unit than a single keyword. Web documents include lots of syntactic errors, the natural language parser with high Quality cannot be expected in Web. Partial trees, even not a full tree, from fully bottom-up parsing is still useful for extracting phrases, and they are much more discriminative than single keyword for index. It helps the information retrieval system enhance the efficiency and reduce the processing overhead.

  • A fundamental problem in building an intelligent agent is that an agent does not understand the meaning of its perception or its action. One reason that an agent cannot understand the world is partially caused by a syntactic approach that converts a semantic feature into a simple string. To solve this problem, Cohen introduces a semantic approach that an agent autonomously learns a meaningful representation of physical schemas, on which some advanced conceptual structures are built, from physically interacting with environment using its own sensors and effectors. However, Cohen does not deal with a meta level of conceptual primitive that makes recognizing a schema possible. We propose that negation is a meta schema that enables an agent to recognize a physical schema. We prove some semantic aspects of negation.

  • A morphological analysis is described to extract the informations which are required in syntactic and semantic analysis of the Korean language. The noun and particle are separated in a noun phrase, the selecting conditions are specified to analyze the compound noun and a restoring rule is represented to process the irregular compound noun. The stem and ending are separated in normal verbals and a logical representive form is proposed to the anomalously inflected word and contracted vowels. The logical representation is composed of the attribute value an analyzing rule. The redundancy of noun is reduced in the dictionary as the verb of a "Nounformed HA-" is processed by "noun" and "HA-", separately and a predicative "IDA" is analyzed by Q parameter. The processing form of negation is also derived and the morpheme and basic structure of compound predicative parts are presented.

  • Web Services composition has gained a considerable attention because of the widespread use of the Web Services and SOA. Recently, various researches on automatic Web Services composition are on going to realize more dynamic and intelligent SOA environments. However, there is no complete solution for automatic Web Services composition now and previous researches have several problems. Automatic composition based on syntactic information has low correctness through incorrect semantic linking. Moreover, many researches make an process as the result of composition which is hard for actual execution. In this paper, improved automatic Web Services composition based on Web Services choreography is proposed. In this system, the correctness is improved and the result of composition is more concrete process.

  • In this paper, we introduce the method that a user analyses the similarity of the two programs by using keyword from the syntactic tree, created after the syntax analysis, and its implementation. The main advantage of the method is the performance improvement through using only keyword of syntax tree. In the paper, we propose the similarity evaluation model and how we extract keyword from syntax tree. In addition, we also show the improvement in the performance in analysis and in the system's structure. We expect that our system will be utilized in the similarity evaluation in text and XML documents.

  • With the Covid-19(Corona Virus) spread all around the world, people are using this propaganda and the desperate need of the citizens to know the news about this mysterious virus by spreading fake news. Some Countries arrested people who spread fake news about this, and others made them pay a fine. And since Social Media has become a significant source of news, .there is a profound need to detect these fake news. The main aim of this research is to develop a web-based model using a combination of machine learning algorithms to detect fake news. The proposed model includes an advanced framework to identify tweets with fake news using Context Analysis; We assumed that Natural Language Processing(NLP) wouldn't be enough alone to make context analysis as Tweets are usually short and do not follow even the most straightforward syntactic rules, so we used Tweets Features as several retweets, several likes and tweet-length we also added statistical credibility analysis for Twitter users. The proposed algorithms are tested on four different benchmark datasets. And Finally, to get the best accuracy, we combined two of the best algorithms used SVM ( which is widely accepted as baseline classifier, especially with binary classification problems ) and Naive Base.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a CORBA/SNMP gateway. The gateway is used to integrate traditional network management systems using CORBA. The integrated network management system uses World Wide Web (WWW) and CORBA. WWW provides a platform-independent and easy-to-use interface to distributed applications and CORBA is used to integrate different network management models seamlessly. To support the traditional managed objects without modification, we use a translation gateway between two different management models. The integrated network management server consists of a WWW server with enhancement for network management and translation gateways for converting management operations between different management models. This paper describes the design and implementation of a CORBA/SNMP gateway. The CORBA/SNMP gateway provides a syntactic and dynamic translation between CORBA and SNMP management models. The gateway provides a CORBA view to SNMP MIBs and allows the CORBA managers to access SNMP agents via CORBA operations. The CORBA/SNMP gateway also delivers the traps occurred in the SNMP agents to the CORBA managers that want to receive the trap information.
