  • 본 논문에서는 PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)을 이용한 재봉틀 구동시스템을 개발하였다. 전차원 관측기를 이용하여 속도를 추정하고, 벨트(Belt)에 의한 외란 토크를 추정하여 보상하였다. 개발된 재봉틀 구동시스템을 실제 재봉틀에 장착하여 그 효용성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper deals with thrust characteristic by design parameter of linear synchronous reluctance motor(LSynRM). Mover of LSynRM used stator of linear induction machine. Design parameter being teeth width, teeth depth, airgap and displacement, we analyzed thrust characteristic on singleness or complex case. Also, we presented thrust characteristic using finite element method.

  • This paper presents a LQG/LTR method for controlling the PSS and SVC effectively. A one-machine Infinite-bus power system is used as an analysis system, where PSS is installed at the synchronous generator and SVC at the generator bus as a parallel compensation device. The simulation results show that the LQG/LTR controller of PSS and SYC improves the power system stability effectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 외전형 영구자석 동기전동기(Outer rotor Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)의 회전자 형상에 따른 토크특성을 비교하였다. 표면부착형 영구자석(SPM) 형태의 FAN용 PMSM을 설계하고 이 모델을 기준으로 동일한 외경사이즈를 갖지만 더 높은 토크 밀도를 갖는 4가지 매입형 영구자석(IPM) 형태의 PMSM을 제시한다. Finite Element Analysis(FEM)을 통하여 각 모델의 특성을 해석하고 자석 사용량과 토크를 비교 및 분석하였다.

  • This paper presents an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator with a high power-to-weight ratio, dedicated for small-scale gearless wind power generation plants. For this purpose, a specific design is necessary to meet the imposed requirements. In this paper the design technique for the specifications is presented. The aim of the paper is also to discuss some of the first obtained test results and the involved demagnetizing problem (i.e. short-circuit).

  • This paper presents an effect of cross magnetization to the generator characteristics in synchronous machine infinite bus system. Eigenvalues, synchronous torque and damping torque are investigated as the operating condition of the system is changed variously. The simulation results show that cross magnetization has an important effect to the generator characteristics in steady state stability analysis.

  • This study investigates the characteristic analysis of Line-start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor considering skew effect. The effects of the skew on machine characteristic are analyzed by using direct co-simulation of Matlab Simulink and Flux2D. Validity of analysis method is confirmed by the analysis result of Non-skew Model.

Influence of Resistance Error to the Bandwidth of Back-EMF Estimation based SMPMSM Sensorless Drives (역기전력 추정 기반 SMPMSM 센서리스 드라이브에서 저항 오차가 대역폭에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper analyzes the effect of resistance error to the performance of sensorless drive system of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine (SMPMSM) based on the back-EMF observer. The analysis shows that the bandwidth of the entire sensorless drive system decreased in the low-speed region when using smaller resistance value than the actual one in the back-EMF observer. Even if the back-EMF observer invokes estimation error, the entire sensorless drive system does not make any steady-state position error. These characteristics may have positive effects such as extension of the low speed limit that goes further down in the sensorless drive. The validity of the analysis is verified by the experimental setup comprising the MG set.

  • HTS motors and generators have some advantages over LTS machines because of higher operating temperature. Very low temperature nakes LTS machines need higher refrigeration cost and large facilities. However, HTS machines are expected to be comparable with conventional counterparts at smaller machine ratings than LTS generators in terms of efficiency and size. As the operating temperature increases, the magnetic flux density generated by HTS field coils decreases relatively. For example, 1000hp HTS synchronous motor developed in a few years ago has maximum field density of 1.5T. At this point, magnetic material used in conventional machines is able to pass magnetic flux easily with high permeability. In order to investigate the effect, we arranged magnetic core only inside of magnet vessel of a 100hp target machine. By way of FEM analysis, we concluded that the magnetic core can reduce amount of expensive BSCCO conductor so much.

  • In the development of an interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM) for high-speed operation, the problem of mechanical stress of the rotor by centrifugal force becomes more essential as the speed and size of the machines increase. In this paper, the optimal design process combined with mechanical stress analysis was presented. In the analysis of mechanical stress, the node and element data obtained by the electromagnetic field analysis program are also used in the stress analysis. Therefore, the different pre-processing for the stress analysis program is no longer required. Therefore, the computing time of the new method is very short compared with the conventional approach, and when repeated analyzes of various models are required, this method is very useful. The validity of our methods was verified by comparing simulation results with conventional and experimental data.
