일어서기 동작에 대한 동작관찰과 동기화된 전기적 감각자극의 통합적 제공이 뇌졸중 환자의 기능에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Integrated Provision Action Observation and Synchronized Electrical Sensory Stimulation for Sit-to-stand in Stroke Patients Function)

  • Background: Stroke patients experience multiple dysfunctions that include motor and sensory impairments. Therefore, new intervention methods require a gradational approach depending on functional levels of a stroke patient's activity and should include cognition treatment to allow for a patient's active participation in rehabilitation. Objects: This study investigates the effect of integrated revision of electrical sensory stimulation, which stimulates somatosensory and action observation training, which is synchronized cognition intervention method on stroke patients' functions. Methods: Twenty-one stroke patients were randomized into two groups. The two groups underwent twenty minutes of intervention five times a week for three weeks. This study used an electromyogram to evaluate symmetric muscle activation of lower extremities and muscle onset time when performing sit to stand before and after intervention. A weight-bearing ratio was used to evaluate the weight-bearing of the affected side in a sit to standing. To evaluate sit to stand performance ability, this study performed five timed sit to stand tests. Results: The two groups both showed statistically significant improvement in muscle onset time of lower extremity, static balance ability in a standing position, and sit to stand performance after the intervention (p < 0.05). In addition, the action observation and synchronized electrical sensory stimulation group showed significant improvement in symmetric muscle activation of lower extremities and weight-bearing ratio of the affected side (p < 0.05). Conclusion: action observation and synchronized electrical sensory stimulation (AOT with ESS) can have positive effects on a stroke patient's sit to stand performance, and the intervention method that provides integrated AOT with ESS can be used as new nervous system intervention program.

Distribution and synchronized massive flowering of Sasa borealis in the forests of Korean National Parks

  • Background: Genus Sasa, dwarf bamboos, are considered to be species that lower biodiversity in the temperate forests of East Asia. Although they have a long interval, they, the monocarpic species, have a unique characteristic of large-scale synchronized flowering. Therefore, once they have flowered and then declined, it may be an opportunity for suppressed surrounding species. A previous study reported that Sasa borealis showed specialized flowering nationwide with a peak in 2015. However, this was based on data from a social network service and field survey at Mt. Jeombong. Therefore, we investigated S. borealis in the forests of five national parks in order to determine whether this rare synchronized flowering occurred nationwide, as well as its spatial distribution. Results: We found a total of 436 patches under the closed canopy of Quercus mongolica-dominated deciduous forests in the surveyed transects from the five national parks. Of these patches, 75% occupied a whole slope area, resulting in an enormous area. The patch area tended to be larger in the southern parks. Half (219 patches) of the patches flowered massively. Among them, 76% bloomed in 2015, which was consistent with the results of the previous report. The flowering rate varied from park to park with that of Mt. Seorak being the highest. The culms of the flowering patches were significantly taller (F = 93.640, p < 0.000) and thicker (F = 61.172, p < 0.000). Following the event, the culms of the flowering patches declined, providing a good opportunity for the suppressed plant species. The concurrent massive flowering of the mature patches was believed to be triggered by some stress such as a spring drought. Conclusion: We confirmed that the rare synchronized flowering of S. borealis occurred with a peak in 2015 nationwide. In addition, we explored that S. borealis not only monopolized an enormous area, but also dominated the floors of the late-successional Q. mongolica-dominated deciduous forests. This presents a major problem for Korean forests. As it declined simultaneously after flowering, there are both possibilities of forest regeneration or resettlement of S. borealis by massively produced seeds.

와류를 이용한 압전 에너지 수확 회로의 전력 분석 (Electrical power analysis of piezoelectric energy harvesting circuit using vortex current)

  • 본 논문에서는 유체의 와류 현상을 이용한 에너지 하베스팅 회로의 전력을 분석하였다. 와류를 전기 에너지로 바꾸기 위한 소자로 PVDF(Polyvinylidene fluoride) 압전 센서를 사용하였으며, 전력 분석을 위해 잘 알려진 브리지 다이오드 정류 회로와 전력 변환 효율을 향상시키기 위해 다이오드 정류회로 입력단에 병렬 동기 스위치 회로를 접목한 P-SSHI(Parallel Synchronized Switch Harvesting on Inductor) 정류 회로를 사용하였다. 다이오드 및 P-SSHI 정류 회로의 출력 전력은 이론을 통해 분석하였고 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 공기에 의한 와류를 이용한 실험을 통해 P-SSHI 정류 회로의 전력효율이 69 % 증가됨을 확인하였다. 또한 수확된 와류 에너지를 슈퍼 커패시터에 저장하는 회로를 구현하여 2차 전지로써 활용이 가능함을 확인하였다.

Piezoelectric shunt damping by synchronized switching on negative capacitance and adaptive voltage sources

  • Synchronized switch damping (SSD) techniques have recently been developed for structural vibration control using piezoelectric materials. In these techniques, piezoelectric materials are bonded on the vibrating structure and shunted by a network of electrical elements. These piezoelectric materials are switched according to the amplitude of the excitation force to damp vibration. This paper presents a new SSD technique called 'synchronized switch damping on negative capacitance and adaptive voltage sources' (SSDNCAV). The technique combines the phenomenon of capacitance transient charging and electrical resonance to effectively dampen the structural vibration. Also, the problem of stability observed in the previous SSD techniques is effectively addressed by adapting the voltage on the piezoelectric patch according to the vibration amplitude of the structure. Analytical expressions of vibration attenuation at the resonance frequency are derived, and the effectiveness of this new technique is demonstrated, for the control of a resonant cantilever beam with bonded piezoelectric patches, by comparing with SSDI, SSDVenh, and SSDNC techniques. Theoretical predictions and experimental results show the remarkable vibration damping capability of SSDNCAV technique, which was better than the previous SSD techniques. The broadband vibration control capabilities of SSDNCAV technique are also demonstrated, which exceed those of previous SSD techniques.

동시화된 포유동물 세포에서 돌연변이원에 의해 유발된 염색체 이상에 미치는 DNA중합효소와 DNA위상이성질화효소의 저해제의 효과 (The Effects of Inhibitors of DNA Polymerases and Topoisomerase on Chromosome Aberrations Induced by Mutagens in Synchronized Mammalian Cells)

  • 동시화시킨 CHO세포를 재료로하여 EMS 혹은 BLM에 의해 유발된 염색체 이상에 미치는 APC, ddTTP, 그리고 NOV의 효과를 조사하였다. 세포의 동시화는 thymidine block방법을 사용하였다. APC, ddTTP, 그리고 NOV의 단독처리는 염색체 이상을 유발하지 않았다. EMS에 의해 유발된 염색체 이상은 late G$_1$과 early S기에 높은 감수성을 나타내었고, BLM에 의해 유발된 염색체 이상은 G$_2$기에 가장 높은 감수성을 나타내었다. APC를 후처리할 경우 late G$_1$기와 early S기에서 EMS에 의해 유발된 염색체이상을 증가시켰다. 그러나 ddTTP나 NOV를 복합처리하기전 NOV를 전처리하면 late G$_1$기와 early S기에서의 염색체 이상이 증가되었다. 이런 결과들은 여러 가지 돌연변이원에 따라 각기 다른 세포내 반응이 유발되며 염색체 이상에서의 각 효소들의 활성 또한 다른 것으로 추측된다.

  • SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)는 멀티미디어 객체의 집합으로 시간적인 동기화를 표현할 수 있는 마크업 언어이다. 본 연구에서는 SMIL 문서를 시간에 따라 동기화 표현을 명확히 할 수 있도록 객체 지향 기반의 시각화 도구인 UML의 사용 사례(Use case), 순서(Sequence), 다이어그램을 이용한 객체 모델링 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 SMIL 문서에서 UML 사용사례와 순서 다이어그램으로의 사상 규칙과 알고리즘, 형식 모델, 그리고, 모델링 함수를 제안한다. 본 연구의 의의는 SMIL 문서 개발자들이 손쉽게 문서 구조 파악 및 개발을 할 수 있으며, 형식 모델과 다이어그램 모델링 함수는 객체지향 데이타베이스 문서 관리의 기반이 된다는 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 분산 환경에서 e-비즈니스 프로세스들 간에 SFT(Slow Frequency Transaction) 데이터를 처리하는 동기화 에이전트 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 이 동기화 에이전트 시스템은 분산 프로세스들의 상호운용성 보장과 클라이언트/서버 구조의 문제를 해결하기 위해 이동에이전트를 이용하며, 분산된 이종 시스템 플랫폼상의 e-비즈니스 프로세스들의 데이터 동기화를 위한 정책을 제시한다. 제안된 동기화 정책은 유니캐스팅 전송 상에서 시스템 우선순위와 타임스탬프의 트랜잭션을 기본으로 한다.

송전선로의 동기페이저를 이용한 고장점 표정장치 (Fault Locator using GPS Time-synchronized Phasor for Transmission Line)

  • Fault location identification in the transmission line is an essential part of quick service restoration for maintaining a stable in power system. The application of digital schemes to protection IEDs has led to the development of digital fault locators. Normally, the impedance measurement had been used to for the location detection of transmission line faults. It is well known that the most accurate fault location scheme uses two-ended measurements. This paper deals with the complete design of a fault locator using GPS time-synchronized phasor for transmission line fault detection. The fault location algorithm uses the transmitted relaying signals from the two-ended terminal. The fault locator hardware consists of a Main Processor Unit, Analog Digital Processor Unit, Signal Interface Unit, and Power module. In this paper, sample real-time test cases using COMTRADE format of Omicron apparatus are included. We can see that the implemented fault locator identified all the test faults.

고속 동기 탭핑에서의 절삭 특성에 관한 연구 (Study of Cutting Characteristics in High Speed Synchronized Tapping)

  • High speed machining was accomplished. through the technological advances which covers the whole field of mechanical industry. But tapping have many troubles because of its complicate cutting mechanism, for example. tool damage, chip elimination and synchronization between spindle rotation and feed motion. But High speed tapping is so important that it marches in step with the flow of the times and make improvement in the productivity. In this paper we analyze mechanism of high speed synchronized tapping with the signal of tapping torque and spindle speed obtained through the newly developed high speed tapping machine(NTT-30B). We made an experiment with this machine on condition of various speed from 1000rpm to 10000rpm. As one complete thread is performed through the whole chamfer cutting, cutting torque increases highly in chamfer cutting, but smoothly in full thread cutting functioning of the threads guide. And the size of cutting torque according to spindle speed(rpm) was not enough of a difference to be conspicuous.

미세현미주입 기법으로 웅성호르몬을 주입한 토끼난자의 발생 (Development of Rabbit Eggs Microinjected with Testosterone)

  • This study was perfomed to investigate the differentiation of rabbit blastocysts microinjected with testosterone solution. A total of 140 mixed breed does was superovulated, synchronized and hand mated. The eggs were flushed from uterine horns between 65 and 89 hrs after mating. Testosterone was dissolved in 95% ethanol and diluted with PBS at the ratio of 1: 99. Final concentration of testosterone was adjusted to 1 pg /ml. 6~8 bias-tocysts were microinjected with 1~10 p Q of the diluted testosterone solution, and tranfer-red into the uterine horns of the synchronized recipients. When 140 donor does were treat-ed with a single does of 200 IU PMSG in combination with 100 IU RCG 48 hrs apart, 134 of them(97%) showed standing estrus. Ovarian responses of 117 does were examined following mating and the rate of ovulation was 11.23 i 1.20. Ova were recovered from donors between 65 and 89 hrs after mating. Recovery rates of ova were 37.5% and 42.2% of recovered ova were blastocysts. A total of 106 blastsocysts were microinjected with testosterone solution and transferred into the uterine horns of 15 synchronized recipient does. One of the recipients was pregnant and delivered 7 baby rabbits. The external genitalia of the young rabbits appered to be the same appearance as the buck entierly.
