전기 아연도금용 유색 크로메이트에 대한 건조 온도의 영향 (The Effects of Drying Temperature on Chromate Treatment for Electroplated Zinc)

  • In this study, the effect of drying temperature on characteristics of the trivalent chromate film on electroplated zinc was investigated. An zinc-electroplated iron specimen with a thickness of 5 ㎛ was used for chromate treatment. Chromate treatment was conducted in a solution diluted 10 times from a mixture of Cr(NO3)3·9H20 360 g/L, Co(NO3)2·6H2O 60 g/L, Na2SO4 60 g/L, NH4F·HF 25 g/L, and NaOH 20 g/L. The zinc electroplated specimen was treated using the chromate solution with pH 2.0 at 25 ℃ for 60 s. Subsequently, chromate-treated samples were dried in an electric furnace for 2h with temperature varied from 25 to 125 ℃. The corrosion rate increased with the increase in the drying temperature, and the surface morphology of the chromate-treated film was observed using FE-SEM. When the drying temperature changed, the color of the chromate film changed from green to yellow, and the thickness of the film changed from 362 to 241 nm, respectively. Additionally, corrosion resistance was evaluated via a salt spray test.

  • The anodic $TiO_2$ layers which are prepared in various anodization conditions exhibit their specific color depending on the thickness of $TiO_2$. In this study, the relationship between the color of $TiO_2$ layer, which is grown by PEO (Plasma electrolytic oxidation), and the thickness of the $TiO_2$ layer is investigated. To evaluate the color change of the $TiO_2$ layer, the value of color ($dE^*ab$) is measured and calculated by spectrophotometer and chromameter. As a result, it is found that $dE^*ab$ values and thickness of $TiO_2$ layers form a linear relationship with meaningful formular. This formula can be helpful to quantify the thickness of the $TiO_2$ layer by the numerical $dE^*ab$ values. In this process, the spectrophotometer shows more precise results than the chromameter dose. If fluoride ions ($F^-$) are included in the electrolyte, it will affect the $dE^*ab$ values of the $TiO_2$. layer. This is against the propensity, which is analyzed by XRD (X-ray diffraction) and XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy). It is important that the formular suggested in this study provides other metals which can be also anodized with the possibility of quantifying the thickness of the $TiO_2$ layer by the $dE^*ab$ values.

  • SiC와 금속박막간의 계변형성 및 반응 생성물의 구조가 $5500^{\circ}C$에서 $1450^{\circ}C$의 온도 범위에서 조사되어졌다. SiC와 코발트간의 반응에 있어서 전형척인 반응충의 순서는 $1050^{\circ}C$에서 $1250^{\circ}C$까지의 온도 범위에서 CoSi/CoSi+C/CoSi/CoSi+C/ $\cdots$ /SiC이었고, SiC와 니켈간의 반응에 있어셔 전형적인 반응충의 순셔는 $950^{\circ}C$에서 $1050^{\circ}C$까지의 온도 범위에서 $Ni_2Si/Ni_2Si+C/Ni_2Si/Ni_2Si+C/ {\cdots} /SiC$이었다. 탄소의 결정화가 SiC / Co 반응에 있어서논 $1450^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 그리고 SiC/Ni 반응에 였어서는 $1250^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 바깐면으로 우선적으로 석출되였다. 또한, 탄 소석출거동을 동반한 주기적인 띠구조의 형성 기구가 열역학적인 고찰을 통하여 논하여졌다.

Brief, Intense TENS 자극이 신경전도, 통증역치의 변화에 미치는 효과 (The effects of Breif, Intense Transecutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Nerve conduction, Pain Threshold in Healthy subjects)

  • Purphose. This present study examines the effect of brief, intense transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(BTENS) on sensory nerve conduction, electrical pain threshold, and two-point discrimination measured at the superficial radial nevre distribution in 20 healthy subjects. Subjects. Twenty volunteercs, (10 females and 10 males(age range : 20-38 years : $mean{\pm}SD\;:\;27.00{\pm}5.12$), only subjects without prior traumatological and pathological were eligible to participated in this study. Methods. Nerve conduction were determined for the right superficial radial nerve. Electrical pain threshold were determined for the right wrist ipsilateral to the site of BTENS. Small disc electrodes were attached to the surface of the skin stradding the end of the radius. Square wave electrical pulses were delivered from an isolated stimulator through a constant current device at a frequency of 2 Hz(5 ms pulse width). Two-point discrimination, measured on the sensory distribution of superficial radial nerve. BTENS was delivered using a Max-SD( Medical design co.) portable battery powered stimulator. A cicular Ag/AgCl electrode in contact with hypertonic saline gel was attached to the lateral(radial side) surface of the forearm. Results. No significant effects were observed between stimulation methods in the prestimulation cycle(multi-way ANOVA repeated measures : distal latency ; F1.14=0.332. amplitude ; F 0.80=0.445, pain threshold ; F0.06=0.940.2 point discrimination ; F1.50=0.236). Highly significant effects were observed time with the pretreatment and 6 posttreatment cycles(p<0.01). Mighty significants differences in nerve conduction and pain threshold were found using un multi-way ANOVA repeated measures among stimulation methods for each cycles(p<0.01). Conclusion and Discussion The authors concludes that both nerve conduction and pain threshold changes are associated with therapy (stimulation) level of BTENS.

Oxidation Behaviors of SiCf/SiC Composites Tested at High Temperature in Air by an Ablation Method

  • Using the thermal ablation method, the oxidation behavior of $SiC_f/SiC$ composites was investigated in air and in the temperature range of $1,300^{\circ}C$ to $2,000^{\circ}C$. At the relatively low temperature of $1,300^{\circ}C$, passive oxidation, which formed amorphous phase, predominantly occurred in the thermal ablation test. When the oxidation temperature increased, SiO (g) and CO (g) were formed by active oxidation and the dense oxide layer changed to a porous one by vaporization of gas phases. In the higher temperature oxidation test, both active oxidation due to $SiO_2$ decomposition on the surface of the oxide layer and active/passive oxidation transition due to interfacial reaction between oxide and base materials such as SiC fiber and matrix phase simultaneously occurred. This was another cause of high temperature degradation of $SiC_f/SiC$ composites.

  • Amorphous $MnO_{2}{\cdot}nH_{2}O$ in 1M KOH aqueous electrolyte proves to be an excellent electrode for a faradic electrochemical capacitor cycled between -0.5 and +1.0 versus Ag/AgCl. The effect of thermal treatment on the crystalinity, particle structure, and corresponding electrochemical properties of the resulting xerogel remained amorphous as Mn(OH)2 up to 160$^{\circ}C$. With an increase in the temperature above 200$^{\circ}C$, both the surface area and pore volume decreased sharply, because the amorphous Mn(OH)2 decomposed to form MnO that was subsequently oxidized to form crystalline Mn3O4. In addition, the changes in the crystallinity, and particle structure all had significant but coupled effects on the electrochemical properties of the xerogels. A maximum capacitance of 160.6F/g was obtained for an electrode prepared with the MnOx Xerogel calcined at 150$^{\circ}C$, which was consistent with the maxima exhibited in both the surface area and pore volume. This capacitance was attributed solely to a surface redox mechanism.

  • 원자력분야에서 방사성폐기물 처리 및 처분은 해결해야 할 중요한 문제가 된다. 보다 청정한 방법을 사용한 제염법이 요구되고 있다. 이산화탄소를 이용한 제염법은 두가지로 나눠지는데-킬레이트제를 이용한 방법과 에멀젼을 이용한 방법이다. 킬레이트제 방법은 시너지효과를 낼 수 있는 방안이 중요하다. 마이크로 에멀젼을 사용한 방법은 에멀젼 코어속에 산을 넣어 금속표면이나 토양에서 오염물질을 직접 꺼내는 방법이다. 표면제거율을 QCM을 사용하여 측정하였다. 에멀젼을 만드는데 사용된 계면활성제의 회수 방법에 대하여 아울러 논의하였다.

  • $H_2/O_2$ 비에 따른 Hybrid HVOF 용사된 $Cr_3C_2$-7wt%(NiCr) 용사층의 특성 및 산화거동 This study was performed to investigate the influence of fuel/oxygen ratio (F/O=3.2, 3.0, 2.8) on the characteristics and the oxidation behavior of the hybrid-HVOF sprayed $Cr_3C_2$-7wt%NiCr coatings. Decomposition and the oxidation of the $Cr_3C_2$was occured during spraying. The degree of transformation from $Cr_3C_2$to $Cr_7C_3$ was increased with decreasing the F/O ratio. The microstructural differences of the as sprayed coating with F/O ratio can not be distinguished, However, large pores were diminished and then the coatings became dense by heat treatment. Microhardness of the as-sprayed specimen which sprayed with F/O=3.0 condition was hightest ($Hv_{300}$=1140) and the hardness was increased to 1500 after heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for 50hrs in air. It was supposed that hardness was increased due to the formation of $Cr_2O_3$ within $Cr_3C_2$/$Cr_7C_3$matrix and the densification of coating layer during heat treatment. Apparent activation energy for oxidation was varied from 21.2 kcal$mol^{-1}K^{-1}$ to 23.8 kcal$mol^{-1}K^{-1}$ with respect to the F/O ratio. The surface morphology was changed to porous and oxide chusters were grown after oxidation $1000^{\circ}C$ for 50 hours by the aggressive evolution of gas phase ($CrO_3$ and$CO_2$). The oxide cluster was composed of Ni and Cr.

전기이중층 커패시터용 질소/황이 동시에 도핑된 탄소 펠트의 제조 및 전기화학적 성능 평가 (Fabrication and Electrochemical Characterization of N/S co-doped Carbon Felts for Electric Double-Layer Capacitors)

  • In this study, N/S co-doped carbon felt (N/S-CF) was prepared and characterized as an electrode material for electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs). A commercial carbon felt (CF) was immersed in an aqueous solution of thiourea and then thermally treated at 800 ℃ under an inert atmosphere. The prepared N/S-CF showed a large specific surface area with hierarchical pore structures. The electrochemical performance of the N/S-CF-based electrode was evaluated using both 3-electrode and 2-electrode systems. In the 3-electrode system, the N/S-CF-based electrode showed a good specific capacitance of 177 F/g at 1 A/g and a good rate capability of 41% at 20 A/g. In the 2-electrode system (symmetric capacitor), the freestanding N/S-CF-based electrode showed a specific capacitance of 275 mF/cm2 at 2 mA/cm2, a rate capability of 62.5 % at 100 mA/cm2, a specific power density of ~ 25,000 mW/cm2 at an energy density of 23.9 mWh/cm2, and a cycling stability of ~ 100 % at 100 mA/cm2 after 20,000 cycles. These results indicate the N/S co-doped carbon felts can be a promising candidate as a new electrode material in a symmetric capacitor.
