ATM technology, which acts as a representative high-speed bandwidth technology, plays an important role in Internet environment. ATM network, supporting QoS(Quality of Service) and various traffic characters in high speed, configures many VPC(Virtual Path Connection)/VCC(Virtual Channel Connection). It is important to guarantee the QoS of each connection and it is necessary for the network manager to search element affecting the QoS of VPC/VCC and to control ATM network correctly. In the paper, the management information of VPC/VCC, that ATM network manager Using the fault notification for ATM switch, we can manage the configuration, fault and performance of ATM network. Thus, we extracted the configuration, fault and performance monitoring item from the ATM-MIB and SNMP M4 Network Element View MIB. And we designed the ATM network configuration, fault and performance management system based on the extracted item.

Purpose - This study aimed to explore and examine the government policies and supporting systems of the traditional market in Korea. Research design / data / methodology - Recognizing these problems, the Korean government enacted three special legislations and adopted six support policies in support of the traditional markets. Results - Those markets with modernized stores, parking lots, and arcades have certainly increased sales and the number of customers. However, this uniform modernization support policy was short of supporting strategies that could have developed characteristics and advantages of each market, so many markets and merchants lost self-sustainable ability and ended up with relying on government support. Conclusions - The study indicates that Small & Medium Business Administration's role in implementing government policies including selection of the markets that needed to be modernized, developing commercial areas in connection with traditional market and neighboring shopping streets, customizing and improving distribution system, developing specialty stores, merchant college, merchants' self-sustainable ability, and creating convenient and safe shopping environment is vital to traditional markets' future success.

This research proposes a finite element method to determine the natural vibration characteristics of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD including the flexibility of supporting structure. Finite element equations of each substructure are derived with the introduction of consistent variables to satisfy the geometric compatibility at the internal boundaries. The natural frequencies and modes from the global asymmetric matrix equations of motion are determined by using the implicit restarted Arnoldi iteration method. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the experimental modal testing. It also shows that the flexibility of base plate plays an important role to determine the natural frequencies of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD.

Tunneling is a very dangerous and expansive work. Especially, the concrete lining works need many long hours and much cost. As an alternative, the unlined tunneling methods including NMT have been developed in various country. These methods have advantages in cost, time and quality. In Korea, many considerations have been conducted to apply the unlined tunneling method in comparatively good rock. Since primary reinforcements play the role of the final supporting system in unlined tunnels, the initial stiffness and long term durability of reinforcements are very important for tunnel safety. To establish the reinforcements standard suitable to Korea, we investigated the foreign standards and construction cases, comparing geological and construction conditions of foreign land and Korea. As the result, we have proposed the standard of primary supporting system for unlined tunnel in aspects of material, design, construction and quality control etc.

The purpose of this study is in analyzing factors related to a teacher's nursery efficacy. In order to achieve its purpose, a study includes investigation about levels of 748 teachers' interest and knowledge in a child nursery from multi-cultural families, teachers' efforts for understanding the children from multi-cultural families, availability of experience with a child care from multi-cultural families, a teacher's multi-cultural nursery efficacy and general nursery efficacy. As a result of investigation, a study found out that 4 factors (interest, knowledge, efforts, and experience) are related to nursery efficacy and the fact that a teacher's general nursery efficacy is highly associated with multi-cultural nursery efficacy. For this result, providing information about a child care from multi-cultural families and supporting general nursery efficacy play a critical role in supporting teachers' competency about a child care from multi-cultural families.

The diverse set of phenomena, concepts, and activities existing in academic disciplines could be studied from multiple perspectives. One of the promising approaches to explore phenomena is hermeneutics, especially in the form of hermeneutic phenomenology, which has been formed as a consequence of postmodern movements. Hermeneutic phenomenology has taken root in the original ideas of philosophers like Husserl, Heidegger, and Gadamer, and has become one of the fruitful research methodologies over time. After a brief review of the foundations of hermeneutic and phenomenological methodologies, the role of the hermeneutic phenomenology approach in supporting research and information services is discussed. The present article seeks to describe narratively the use of hermeneutic phenomenology in such issues as information technology, information behavior, knowledge organization, and librarians' roles as related to Information Science.

This research has been conducted to find answers to the questions of how projects that support local businesses work in areas undergoing gentrification and what are the achievements and limitations of these projects, based on the case studies of Brixton Pound and Pop Brixton supporting local businesses in Brixton in the London borough of Lambeth. To this end, this study collected data through interviews with local businesses belonging to each project and analysed them based on prior research on the projects, evaluation reports, and articles in the media. It began by investigating the supporting mechanisms of projects that support local businesses in the area, and then analysed and evaluated the projects' contribution to local businesses and the impact on the local community according to these mechanisms. The two projects in the case study showed contrasts in their support mechanisms, governance, and the role of Lambeth Council, and the local businesses' evaluations of the projects' support differed depending not only on the support mechanism of each project but also on business type and perceptions of the impact of gentrification.

This study was to identify the influence of job satisfaction on the role clarity perception of the personnels except medical staffs of hospitals. The study subjects of this study were 486 personnels employed in the supporting departments of hospital. As the result of multiple regression analysis, policy decision showed the highest explanatory power on job satisfaction, We would conclude that in order to improve the performance level of hospital by increasing the job satisfaction of their non-medical personnels, the hospital managers should make efforts to raise the role clarity of them. Our study had some limitations. Especially, because measurement scale on job satisfaction used in our study didn't consist of subdivision, our findings would not show which area was more important in improving job satisfaction.

Recently, the role of information system in a company has been changed a lot because of the rapid change in business environments and the development of information technology. It encompasses not only the supporting role which has aimed at improving business process but also the strategic role of which purpose lies in strategic use of information technology. Achieving this increased role of information system requires more emphasis on development of better and more effective ISP(information system planning). The purpose of this study is to identify organizational factors to affect successful information system planning. For this study, 240 survey questionnaires were mailed and 71 questionnaires were returned. 57 samples were used for the final analysis and 14 samples were excluded from analysis in that they didn't exercise official and systematic ISP. As the result of analysis, the factor which affect effective ISP is internal organization factors(size, ISP time frame, organizational planning resources, management style, organizational culture), not external factors(volatility and competitiveness). Among Internal factors, organizational culture and management style are the most significant factors which affect the effective ISP. The result of this study may have meaning in suggesting the way to develop effective ISP through the formalization of business process, more favorable users attitude toward IS and selection of an appropriate ISP methodology.

Systematic modeling methods. which can correctly represent user requirements, are absolutely required to extract components when developing components. But, components are designed and developed In general based on the concept of object modeling so that they lacks in supporting representing cooperation and interaction as well as reuse. It means extracting components is not easy to be applied to complicated and sophisticated large-scale systems. This paper utilizes a role modeling method based on the role of objects, not on objects themselves, to complement object modeling. The Role modeling can break down a complicated system into simple models through abstracting the pattern of objects based on roles of the objects. In this study, an UML-based method extracting components through role modeling is embodied. UML can represent models from various standpoints so that role models arc also viewed from several points of view.
