Design of Remote Control UI Application for Support of Silver Generation's Smartphone Uses (실버세대의 스마트폰 사용 지원을 위한 원격제어 UI 어플리케이션 설계)

  • Although the supply of smartphones by the silver generation has increased in recent years, low learning, experience levels and understanding make it difficult to use them. In thid paper, we proposes remote control UI applications to support the use of smartphones by the silver generation. For the proposed application, the key features of the feature phone are arranged in a $3{\times}2$ arrangement on the Home screen to enable quick recognition and proposed application provides remote control via Node.js server and socket communication, in case of difficulties in the use of incidental function, increases the understanding and availability levels of the silver generation using smart phones by providing support through remote control.

Familism, filial piety and consciousness for supporting their parents among adolescent, middle, and old generation (가족주의 가치관과 효 및 부모부양의식의 세대별 비교연구 -노년, 중년, 청년층을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how much traditional family ethics exist in morden society. For this goal, I have analyzed norm consciousness of the family among adolescent, middle and old generation. In this research, three kinds of questionnaire were used and the data were obtained from 1,661 samples of three generation groups living in Gyengnam area. The major findings obtained from this study are as follows: First, the filial piety and consciousness for supporting their parents were not changed at all in traditional family ethics. The filial piety and consciousness for supporting their parents are the most important family concepts without showing any difference in generation-gap in modem society. Second, the decreasing traditional norm consciousness of family was familism value. Specialty the familism value becomes weaker from old to younger generation. Third, the filial piety and familism value were shown to be the important factors to support their parents. These concepts showed same trends without showing generation-gap.

  • A Buoyant Hybrid Power Generation System (BHPGS) described in this paper, is a conceptual approach to a hybrid solar-wind power generation in the near sea. The primary purpose of the BHPGS is given to improve utilization of solar cell modules. Main components of the BHPGS include a solar cell module, buoyant object, power generator, and support assembly including weight. Components such a generator controller, DC/AC converter, etc., are not configured in the current BHPGS because they can easily be purchased as a commercial-off-the-shelf product. In addition, some of the BHPGS applications are discussed.

In this paper, we provide an overview of the role of Graduate school of Entrepreneurial management on the development of entrepreneurship in Korea. This study aims exploratory research that the role of graduate school of entrepreneurial management in the diffusion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship culture. This study review the support of entrepreneurship structure(youth entrepreneurship, domestic support of entrepreneurship system, abroad support of entrepreneurship system) and the propulsive strategy(the business of SOE, 4th Generation Business Incubator, organizational structure of entrepreneurship business center, contents of entrepreneurship education).

  • This paper presents a three dimensional modeling and a trajectory generation for minimized impact walking of the biped robot. Inverse dynamic analysis and forward dynamic analysis are performed considering impact force between the foot and ground for determining the actuator capacity and for simulating the proposed biped walking robot. Double support phase walking is considered for close to human's with adding the kinematic constraints on the one of the single support phase.

The Effect of Transformational Leadership on Employee Engagement

  • Based on the hypothesized model and the data obtained from the questionnaire, this paper analyzed the data using the statistical analysis software SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 20.0 to empirically prove the relationship between the variables of transformational leadership, organizational support, organizational justice, and employee engagement. It was found that: First, transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on employee commitment; Second, transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on perceived organizational support. Third, perceived organizational support has a significant effect on employee commitment; Fourth, in the relationship between transformational leadership and employee commitment, the mediating effect of perceived organizational support on them holds; At last, organizational justice plays a moderating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and the perceived organizational support. This study enriches and integrates the theoretical systems and research categories of employee engagement, organizational justice, transformational leadership, and perceived organizational support.

Effects of Acute Exercise on Nitric Oxide Generation from Mouse Macrophages

  • Physical activity is a primary cancer control strategy that has received little attention to date. However, an Increasing number of epidemiological studies have proposed that physical exercise may be beneficial by enhancing anticancer immune system responses. We investigated the effects of acute exercise on changes in nitric oxide (NO) production and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression. The amounts of NO generated by abdominal macrophages in mice were measured after exercise. Thirty-two mice, which were challenged with thioglycollate broth to activate peritoneal macrophages, were randomly assigned to control, exercise and recovery groups. The mice exercised on a motor-driven treadmill for 3 consecutive days, either moderately (18m/min, 30 min/day, 5% grade) or severely (18-35m/min, 60 min/day, 5% grade). The mice were killed immediately after exercise or after 6 hrs of recovery. Nitric oxide was quantified by the Griess assay. The exercised mice showed higher levels of NO generation than those of the control mice, but the intensity of exercise had no significant effect on NO generation. Mice allowed six hours of recovery after exercise showed higher levels of NO generation than that of animals sacrificed immediately after exercise, but there were no significant differences in NO generation with variations in the intensity of exercise. Increased levels of iNOS were found in the exercised groups, and this was greatest in the groups allowed six hours of recovery compared to those groups sacrificed immediately after exercise. The results of this study suggest that acute exercise may enhance an immune response by inducing macrophage-derived NO generation; these results support the epidemiological findings which support the benefits of exercise in the prevention and control of cancer. Further study is needed to determine the physiological significance of these findings, which could be applied to the use of therapeutic exercises to assist in the prevention and control of cancer.

Prediction of Photovoltaic Power Generation Based on Machine Learning Considering the Influence of Particulate Matter (미세먼지의 영향을 고려한 머신러닝 기반 태양광 발전량 예측)

  • Uncertainty of renewable energy such as photovoltaic(PV) power is detrimental to the flexibility of the power system. Therefore, precise prediction of PV power generation is important to make the power system stable. The purpose of this study is to forecast PV power generation using meteorological data including particulate matter(PM). In this study, PV power generation is predicted by support vector machine using RBF kernel function based on machine learning. Comparing the forecasting performances by including or excluding PM variable in predictor variables, we find that the forecasting model considering PM is better. Forecasting models considering PM variable show error reduction of 1.43%, 3.60%, and 3.88% in forecasting power generation between 6am~8pm, between 12pm~2pm, and at 1pm, respectively. Especially, the accuracy of the forecasting model including PM variable is increased in daytime when PV power generation is high.

Grid Generation for Turbomachinery Cascades (터보기계 익렬을 위한 격자 형성)

  • A grid generation algorithm associated with turbomachinery cascade flow fields has been developed. The present grid generation system consists of four separate modules. The system input is made of the results of the preliminary design, i.e., flow-path, aerodynamic conditions along the spanwise direction, and the blade profile data. The grid generation method generates a series of two-dimensional grids in the blade-to-blade passage to build up the three-¬dimensional grid, The numerical algorithm adopts the combination of the algebraic and elliptic method to create the internal grids efficiently and quickly. The resultant grids generated from each module of the system are used as the preprocessor for the performance prediction of the turbomachinery blade using Naveir-Stokes method in addition to the blade surface modelling for CAD data. For purposes of illustration, the grid generation system is applied to several complex geometries inculding a turbine rotor with and without a tip flow grid. Application to the blade design of the LP compressor was demonstrated to be very reliable and practical in support of design activities. This customized system are coupled strongly with the design procedure and reduces the man-hours required to predict the aerodynamic performance of the turbomachinery cascades using the CFD technique.

  • Recently, human errors have very rarely occurred during power generation at nuclear power plants. For this reason, many countries are conducting research on smart support systems of nuclear power plants. Smart support systems can help with operator decisions in severe accident occurrences. In this study, a smart support system was developed by integrating accident prediction functions from previous research and enhancing their prediction capability. Through this system, operators can predict accident scenarios, accident locations, and accident information in advance. In addition, it is possible to decide on the integrity of instruments and predict the life of instruments. The data were obtained using Modular Accident Analysis Program code to simulate severe accident scenarios for the Optimized Power Reactor 1000. The prediction of the accident scenario, accident location, and accident information was conducted using artificial intelligence methods.
