여름휴가활동 선택의 영향요인에 관한 연구 - 계획행동이론을 적용하여 - (Attitudinal Determinants of Summer Vacation Activity Participation -Application of the Theory of Planned Behavior-)

  • The objectives of this study was to test applicability of the theory of planned behavior by Ajzen & Driver(1992), to predicting summer vacation activity participation. Vacations to vist Sock-Cho City in summer were asked to complete a questionaire to measure attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intentions in relation to participating in three vacation activities, at the beach, at the valley, and at the pool. After summer vacation, respondents were called to answer whether or not they had participated in those activities. The results showed that attitudes toward vocation consist of affective and instrumental component Consistent with the theory, attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control were significant variables in predicting intentions to participate in vacation activites. In addition, intentions and perceived control were influential in predicting vacation activities partication. Althouh the objectives of the study were achived, this application of the theory of planned behavior to Koreans summer vacation participations did not show the same power as the Ajzen & Driver's study(1992) in predicting recreation activties participation. It would be desirable for future research to apply the theory of planned behavior to various recreational settings.

  • The Korean Federation of Education Association has published "Vacation Life" to promote self-teaching of middle school students during the summer and winter vacation of middle school students every year. The book include whole subjecy offered in the middle school. However subject of science(Physics, chemistry, biology and earth science) is more emphasized. This article described brief summary of the contents of biology branch published in winter "Vacation Life", 1980 and summer "Vacation Life" 1981.

여름방학 중 취약계층 아동에게 식사를 제공하는 음식점의 운영관리 실태 (The Current Status of Foodservice Management in the Restaurants Participating in the Government-funded Children's Model Program in Korea during Summer Vacation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of food service management in the restaurants participating in the government-funded children's meal program during summer vacation. A mail survey was conducted with individuals who worked in the restaurants participating in the government-funded children's meal program in Seoul during the summer vacation in 2010. A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed to 274 Chinese, 235 Bunsik and 91 Korean restaurants, which were selected using proportionate stratified sampling by regions and types of operations. A total of 138 usable questionnaires (23.0%) were returned and analyzed. The results showed that over half (57.2%) of the restaurants did not employ any certified cooks. Most of the restaurants (97.8%) provided side dishes; among them, only 42% planned menus for side dishes in advance and only a half changed side dish menus periodically. The suggested reasonable reimbursement rate per meal for children using restaurants differed by types of restaurants; the percentage of restaurants having responded 5,000 won or higher was the highest in Chinese restaurants. This study revealed that food service in the restaurants participating in the government-funded children's meal program was not properly managed during summer vacation, especially in terms of menu and food production. This study also showed that the suggested reasonable reimbursement rate of meals for children using restaurants differed by types of restaurants, implying that adjusting the reimbursement rate according to types of restaurants should be considered in the government-funded children's meal program.

경북농촌지역 중식지원 초등생의 영양상태에 관한 연구 (Nutritional Status of School Lunch-Supported Elementary School Children in Gyeongbuk Rural Area)

  • The number of school lunch-supported children who belong to low-income families has been rapidly increased in Korea. This study was aimed at evaluation of nutritional status of school lunch-supported elementary school children. One hundred school lunch-supported children and 119 non-supported children of fourth to sixth year class in 3 elementary schools in Gyeongbuk rural area were selected, and surveys were conducted twice, i.e., once during school term and once during summer vacation in 2006. Food consumption survey during school term was carried out through an interview by dieticians at school-lunch time using a 24-hour recall method, and the survey during summer vacation conducted by recording food intakes for three days by children. Nutrient intakes were calculated using CAN-Pro 3.0 program. School lunch-supported children showed higher rate of skipping breakfast and rather irregular meal time as compared to non-supported students. Eating alone was more frequent in school lunch-supported children than in nonsupported children. The average nutrient intakes and nutrient adequacy ratios were lower in supported children than in non-supported children. During term, percentages of nutrient intakes provided by school-lunch were higher in supported children than in non-supported children. Intakes of energy nutrients were within acceptable macronutrient distribution ranges, but proportion of carbohydrate intake increased during vacation. Analysis of patterns of food intakes based on major food groups (dairy, meat, grain, fruit, vegetable) indicated that meals during term were more balanced as compared to meals during vacation. In conclusion, food behaviors and nutrient intakes of school lunchsupported children were inferior to those of non-supported children during term and during summer vacation. They were provided with more nutrient intakes from school lunch during term as compared to non-supported children. Therefore, it is necessary not only to keep meal support program during vacation but also to provide a proper nutrition education as a part of school lunch program to improve nutritional status and food behaviors of school lunch-supported children.

대학 급식소의 식수예측 모델 개발 (Development of a Forecasting Model for University Food Services)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop a model for university foodservices and to provide management strategies for reducing costs, and increasing productivity and customer satisfaction. The results of this study were as follows : 1) The demands in university food services varied depending on the time series. A fixed pattern was discovered for specific times of the month and semesters. The demand tended to constantly decrease from the beginning of a specific semester to the end, from March to June and from September to December. Moreover, the demand was higher during the first semester than the second semester, within school term than during vacation periods, and during the summer vacation than the winter. 2) Pearson's simple correlation was done between actual customer demand and the factors relating to forecasting the demand. There was a high level of correlation between the actual demand and the demand that had occurred in the previous weeks. 3) By applying the stepwise multiple linear regression analysis to two different university food services providing multiple menu items, a model was developed in terms of four different time series(first semester, second semester, summer vacation, and winter vacation). Customer preference for specific menu items was found to be the most important factor to be considered in forecasting the demand.

애독 장려를 위한 공공도서관 방학독서교실 프로그램에 관한 연구 - 서울 소재 4개 공공도서관을 중심으로 - (Promoting Children's Love of Reading through Vacation Reading Programs in Public Libraries: Focusing on Four Public Libraries in Seoul)

  • 본 논문은 독서습관 형성과 독서의 생활화라는 목적을 추구하는 공공도서관을 역할을 강화하기 위해 애독을 장려하는 '즐거운 독서'의 개념과 중요성에 대해 살펴보고 전통적인 어린이 대상 독서프로그램의 하나인 방학독서교실프로그램 전반을 검토 분석하여 프로그램의 방향제시를 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 교육청 소속 4개의 도서관으로부터 2013년 겨울과 여름독서교실 자료를 수집하여 (1) 독서교실의 목적, (2) 독서교실기간, 대상, 모집방법 및 수료인원, (3) 독서교실 담당강사, (4) 독서교실 프로그램 내용구성, (5) 독서교실 선정도서, (6) 독서교실 수료증과 보상에 관한 사항들을 검토분석 하였다. 마지막으로 즐거운 독서관련 선행연구 분석에서 도출된 요소를 적용하여 애독을 장려하는 즐거운 독서를 위한 방학독서교실프로그램 실태를 토론 및 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 공공도서관의 독서교실 확대 운영을 통한 어린이 애독문화 확대를 제안하였고 향후 애독 장려관점의 공공도서관의 독서교실 프로그램 개발과 운영에 도움을 줄 것이라 기대한다.

감각운동프로그램을 통한 다운증후군 아동의 균형 수행력에 관한 연구 (Effect of Balance Performance in the Down syndrome child by the Sensorimotor Program)

  • The purpose of study was to compare the effect of balance performance in the Down syndrome child by the Sensorimotor program. Twenty-four aged 8 to 16 years participated in this study. Participants were divided into experimental(12) and control group(12). Experimental group were received sensorimotor program in three times a week for 6 weeks. But control group were not participants this program. All subjects were assessmented to clinical test such as Oseretsky and Berg balance test. Experimental and control subjects were tested before, after and end(after summer vacation)of the trial. The results were as follow; 1. The physique of Down syndrome child is more dropped than normal child. 2. Balance of Down syndrome child prior to test is clearly dropped. but effect of Sensorimotor program is appeared in experimental group. 3. Balance of experimental group is more decreased than prior to during the summer vacation.

여름방학 중 결식아동 도시락 제공 기관의 운영관리 실태 (Current Status of Meal Box Service Management for Children from Low-income Families During Summer Vacation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of foodservice management in organizations delivering meal boxes for low-income children during summer vacation. A survey was conducted with persons in charge of meal box production and service of these organizations via mail. Out of 114 questionnaires distributed nationwide, 100 were analyzed(87.8% analysis rate). Over half(53%) of the organizations delivered meal boxes consisting of rice and side dishes while the rest delivered side dishes only. About 81% of the organizations received KRW 3,000 per meal from their local governments and the rest received KRW 3,500. Only 28% of organizations had employed a dietitian. Over one-third(38%) of the respondents were unaware of the official nutritional standard of the foodservice program for low-income children during vacation. Most of the organizations(94%) had menu planned in advance. The average percentage of food cost was 84.1%. Over 40% of the organizations did not keep food samples for sanitation test(43%) and did not take any measures for keeping food temperature during delivery(45%). The organizations delivering rice and side dishes were more likely to be located in cities rather than rural areas and received higher reimbursement rate. The organizations receiving reimbursement of KRW 3,500 or hiring a dietitian were more likely to use standardized recipes, keep food samples for sanitation test, or take measures for keeping food temperature during delivery compared to the counterparts. Respondents reported that increasing reimbursement rate was the most necessary for improving the quality of meal box. This study results showed that the meal box delivery service for low-income children was not properly managed during the vacation, with regards to menu planning and food production. It is recommended that reimbursement rate for meal boxes should be adjusted depending on meal box types and local conditions.

여름방학 중 결식아동에게 제공된 도시락 식단의 식품 구성 평가 (Menu Evaluation of Meal Boxes Delivered to Children from Low-Income Families during Summer Vacation)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the menu of meal boxes delivered to low-income children during summer vacation. Out of 114 questionnaires distributed nationwide concerning lunch menus during summer vacation of 2008, 51 (44.7% response rate) were returned. A total of 170 daily lunch menus consisting of 5 day menus from 34 organizations (29.8% analysis rate) were analyzed after excluding 16 organizations that delivered side dishes only and one organization that provided menus of less than 5 days. The mean numbers of dishes and food items in the menus were five and eight, respectively. Over two-thirds (67.1%) of the lunch box menus included only three food groups: grain, meat and vegetable. Only 2% of the menus included all five food groups, grain, meat, vegetable, fruit, and dairy products. In general, the menus tended to lack fruits and dairy products; the percentages of the menus not including fruits and dairy products reached 89% and 77%, respectively. The average number of dishes, distribution of food group patterns, and average dietary diversity scores of the menus were significantly different according to reimbursement rate. The organizations receiving reimbursement of 3,500 won were more likely to include diverse food groups than those receiving 3,000 won although most of the menus were not proper in terms of food diversity anyway. These results suggest that lunch box menus for low-income children can be improved, in particular, by including more diverse food groups.

소아환자발생과 거주지역 환경, 계절 및 기상과의 관계 (Occurrence of Pediatric Diseases in Relation to the Environment, Seasons and Atmospheric Phenomena(weather))

  • This study was conducted to investigate the association of the occurrence of pediatric diseases with environmental, seasonal and atmospheric factors. The data were collected at 5 pediatric clinics in Seoul and the Department of Pediatrics of Yongin Severance Hospital from May 1986 to April 1987. The results were as follows: 1. Vacation periods had a great influence upon the occurrence of pediatric diseases. 2. The majority of pediatric diseases occurred mainly in spring and autumn, not in summer and winter. 3. The higher the average relative humidity was, the less diseases occurred : and the higher the maximum change of daily temperature, the more diseases occurred. 4. In summer, the pattern of diseases varied along with the environmental factors(eg., toilet).
