다변량 통계 분석기법을 이용한 한강수계 지천의 수질 평가 (Evaluation of Water Quality for the Han River Tributaries Using Multivariate Analysis)

  • 한강의 주요 14개 지류하천 유역의 수질오염원을 평가하고, 2007. 1~2009. 12의 하천 수질자료(14 data set)로 SPSS-17.0을 이용하여 하천별 수질 특성을 평가하였다. 시 공간변화에 대한 군집 분석을 실시한 결과 공간변화에 따라 4그룹으로 평가되었으며, 유역의 오염원 종류 및 밀도가 군집분류에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시간변화에 따라 여름에서 가을까지(7~10월)와 겨울에서 초여름까지(11~6월)의 2그룹으로 분류되어 강우와 기온 그리고 부영양화 현상이 군집화에 기여하는 것으로 평가되었다. 조사대상 하천의 수질오염 요인은 유기물질 영양염류 세균오염요인과 하천 내 물질대사요인으로(71~90%) 설명되었고, 계절에 따라 주요인(수질오염물질)은 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 각 하천의 수질특성은 요인과 유역 오염원을 같이 평가하였을 때 유용한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

대청호 추동취수탑 부근의 수질변화 특성 (Variation of Water Quality around the Chudong Intake Tower in Daechung Reservoir)

  • This study has been carried out to provide the basic data obtained from the evaluation of the variation of water quality around the Chudong intake tower in Daechung resevoir, which may be able to help the establishment of a pure water supply policy. Five sites around the Chudong intake tower were selected, and the average data for recent ten years(from year 2004 to year 2013) were analysed. The average water quality around Chudong intake tower are as followed; pH 7.5, DO 8.7 mg/L, BOD 1.0 mg/L, COD 3.0 mg/L, SS 3.0 mg/L, TN 1.495 mg/L, TP 0.017 mg/L, and Chlorophyll-a 6.5 mg/m3 were matched the good class by comparing with the living environment standard of reservoir. COD values of higher than 3.0 mg/L after July were likely due to non-point pollutants and algae outbreak during rainy summer season. Total phosphorus rose sharply in the summer season, and then algae watch was issued consistently for average 40 days. Total nitrogen to total phosphorus ratio was average 90, and it is important to control the inflow phosphrous from small stream for proper management to block an algae growth according to eutrophication. It was recommended to operate the algae removing boats around intake tower from July to October, and was required advanced water treatment processes to remove NBD COD and bad odor and taste due to algae growth.

지리산국립공원 저서성 대형무척추동물의 섭식기능군 분포 특성과 생물학적 수질평가 (Distribution Characteristics of Functional Feeding Groups of Benthic Macroinvertebrates and Biological Evaluation of Water Quality in Jirisan National Park)

  • The distribution characteristics of functional feeding groups and biological evaluation of water quality with benthic macroinvertebrates were investigated from 2013 to 2014 in the mountain streams of Jirisan National Park. Both quantitative and qualitative collection had been performed six times during study periods in twelve sites located at upstream, midstream and downstream of four valleys, Chilsungol, Baemsagol, Daesunggol and Piagol of freshwater ecosystem in Jirisan National Park. As results, the total collected benthic macroinvertebrates were 3 phyla, 4 classes, 11 orders, 37 families, 107 species and 4,028 individuals. In 2013, 3 phyla, 4 classes, 10 orders, 32 families, 89 species and 1,829 individuals were collected. And in 2014, 3 phyla, 4 classes, 9 orders, 31 families, 80 species and 2,199 individuals were identified. The total dominant species was Ecdyonurus kibumensis, and EPT groups occupied 80.39% of total species number. Biotic indices were also compared to site and to season. The dominant index (DI) was highest at the downstream of Baemsagol in the spring of 2013, and the evenness index (J') was highest at the downstream of Daesunggol in the summer of 2013. Both diversity index (H') and richness index (RI) were highest at the upstream of Baemsagol in the summer of 2014. The correlation between altitude above sea level and functional feeding groups of benthic macroinvertebrates was also researched in this study. As a result, the species number of shredders and predators have significantly increased according to the increase of the altitude of their habitat. On the other hand, individuals of gathering collectors have increased according to the increase of altitude. The biological water quality was evaluated and compared with several methods in this study, and we suggest that ESB and GPI are more appropriate than KSI and BMI to evaluate biological water quality of mountain stream water.

영유아 대상 시설의 실내공기질 특성 비교 및 개선방안에 대한 연구 (Infant target facilities and facilities for children in elementary school Comparison and Improvement of Indoor Air Quality for Research)

  • In modern society, we are living indoor at 80 - 90 % or more of the day, therefore most people are exposed to unconscious indoor air pollutants by various causes. When mother and infant, whose level of immunity are weak, are exposed to polluted indoor air, respiratory diseases and atopy can occur by the growth of bacteria. Therefore, appropriate indoor air quality management is important especially at nursery, elementary school and postpartum clinic etc. In this study, we compared the characteristics of the indoor air qualities of primary school facilities and infant facilities. In this study, seasonal effects were investigated. Also the effects of individual activity area were studied for indoor air quality. During summer season(May-August), the air qualities of each 16 elementary school and nursery school were investigated. During winter season(October-december), the air qualities of each 10 elementary school and nursery school were investigated. As a result, during winter season in 10 of 16 nursery school, $CO_2$ concentration exceeded regulation level of 1000 ppm. This resulted from the operation of heating system and poor ventilation. Also the air quality of all parameters during winter season were worse than during summer, maybe due to poor ventilation. Except HCHO, the concentrations of other parameters were higher in nursery school. This seems to result from relatively low individual activity area of nursery school than elementary school. From this research, more strong regulation for ventilation and installation of air purifier should be implemented.

IPA를 이용한 계절별 국립수목원 이용객의 서비스 질 만족도 연구 (An Analysis on the Satisfaction of Service Quality for Seasonal Arboretum Visitors using IPA)

  • 본 연구는 국립수목원 이용객을 대상으로 계절별 서비스 질 만족도를 조사함으로써, IPA를 활용하여 수목원 운영시 고려해야 할 서비스항목을 도출하고 국립수목원 서비스의 질적 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 실시하였다. 봄, 여름, 가을에 방문하는 수목원 이용객을 대상으로 5개 부문의 24개 서비스 질 항목에 대해 방문 전 중요도와 방문 후 만족도를 7점 리커트(likert)척도를 사용하여 설문조사하였다. 그 결과, 계절별 서비스 질에 대한 중요도와 만족도는 모든 계절에서 평균 5점 이상의 긍정적인 수준을 보였으며, 특히 여름에 서비스 질에 대한 중요도와 만족도가 모두 높게 나타났다. 또한 중요도-만족도분석을 통해, 여름의 가시성 부문 항목들이 중점개선영역에 주로 나타남에 따라, 서비스 부문 간에 중요도-만족도에서 계절별 차이가 있음을 확인하였다.

Seasons affect the phosphorylation of pork sarcoplasmic proteins related to meat quality

  • Objective: Sarcoplasmic proteins include proteins that play critical roles in biological processes of living organisms. How seasons influence biological processes and meat quality of postmortem muscles through the regulation of protein phosphorylation remain to be investigated. In this study, the phosphorylation of sarcoplasmic proteins in pork longissimus muscle was investigated in four seasons. Methods: Sarcoplasmic proteins were extracted from 40 pork carcasses (10 for each season) and analyzed through ProQ Diamond staining for phosphorylation labeling and Sypro Ruby staining for total protein labeling. The pH of muscle, contents of glycogen and ATP were measured at 45 min, 3 h, and 9 h postmortem and the water (P2b, P21, and P22) was measured at 3 h and 9 h. Results: A total of 21 bands were detected. Band 8 (heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein; heat shock 70 kDa protein 1B) had higher phosphorylation level in summer than that in other seasons at 45 min postmortem. The phosphorylation levels of 3 Bands were significantly different between fast and normal pH decline groups (p<0.05). The phosphorylation levels of 4 bands showed negative associations with immobilized water (P21) and positive association with free water (P22). Conclusion: The phosphorylation levels of sarcoplasmic proteins involved in energy metabolism and heat stress response at early postmortem time differed depending on the seasons. These proteins include heat shock protein 70, pyruvate kinase, phosphoglucomutase-1, glucose-6-phosphate isomerase, and carbonic anhydrase 3. High temperatures in summer might result in the phosphorylation of those proteins, leading to pH decline and low water holding capacity.

경북 농촌지역 여성 독거노인과 가족동거노인의 계절별 영양소섭취 비교 (Seasonal Nutrient Intakes of Elderly Women Living Alone as Compared to Those Living with Family in the Gyeongpuk Rural Area)

  • For the rapidly growing elderly population, the achievement and maintenance of good nutritional status is critical to health, functioning and quality of life. Elderly women living alone have been identified as a group associated with poor nutrition. The purpose of this study was to assess dietary intakes of elderly women living alone as compared to those of elderly women living with family in a rural area and to examine seasonal variation. The subjects are 49 elderly women living alone and 41 elderly women living with family who reside in Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, and their food intakes were assessed once each time in summer 2005, winter 2005-2006, and spring 2006. The average ages were 74.7 years for living alone and 72.8 years for living with family. Education level was not different between the two groups. Height, weight, body mass index, systolic and diastolic blood pressures, and fasting blood glucose were not significantly different between the two groups. Average intakes of major nutrients, nutrient adequacy ratio, mean adequacy ratio and index of nutritional quality were lower in the elderly women living alone compared with the elderly women living with family in summer, but the differences in intakes of most nutrients became insignificant both in winter and in spring. High carbohydrate and low fat diet was prevalent and intakes of carbohydrate and fat in summer deviated from macronutrient acceptable distribution ranges. Percentages of the subjects who consumed energy less than 75% of the estimated energy requirement and nutrients less than the estimated average requirement were higher than those reported by the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. In summer, the percentage of the subjects who consumed energy less than both 75% of the estimated energy requirement and 4 nutrients less than estimated average requirements was 58.5% of the elderly women living alone, which was higher than 26.5% of the elderly women living with family and that of National Nutrition Survey. Therefore, nutrition policies including nutrition education and support are necessary to improve nutritional status of elderly, especially elderly women living alone and should reflect regional and seasonal characteristics.

여름 착색단고추의 저장에 따른 품종별 품질 변화 (Changes of Fruit Quality in Response to Storage on Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Cultivars in Summer)

  • 착색단고추의 일본 수출시장 확대를 위해서는 단경기인 여름철에 고랭지 여름재배를 통한 연중공급이 매우 중요하게 여겨지고 있지만, 여름에 생산된 과실은 상품성이 쉽게 상실되는 문제점을 안고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여름에 생산된 착색단고추 7품종(빨간색 'Goal', 'Plenty', 'Jubilee', 노란색 'Derby', 'Romeca', 'Mydas' 및 오렌지색 'Maximalia' 등)의 저장에 따른 품질의 변화를 비교하였다. 시험에 사용된 과실들은 합천의 600-800m고랭지에서 생산된 것을 구입하여 수출용 박스에 포장하여 $10^{\circ}C$에서 저장하였고, 과실품질 조사는 4주간 4일 간격으로 하였다. 감모율은 'Jubilee'가 가장 낮았고 'Romeca'가 높았다. 경도는 'Goal'이 저장 4주 동안 높게 유지되었고, 색깔별로는 빨간색 품종들이 높은 경도를 보였다. 과색의 L value는 저장 기간이 길어질수록 감소하였는데, 'Jubilee'가 가장 민감하게 반응하였다. 종자의 갈변은 'Plenty'와 'Derby'가 가장 많았다. 과실의 부패는 16-20일부터 발생하였는데, 'Maximalia'와 'Plenty'가 빨리 시작되었다. 상품성은 'Jubilee'와 'Romeca'가 저장 16일째까지 70% 이상을 유지해 가장 높았지만, 저장 24일부터는 대부분의 품종에서 20%이하로 상품성을 거의 상실하였다. 따라서 여름에 생산된 착색단고추 과실들은 $10^{\circ}C$에서 저장할 경우, 2주정도 까지는 80%내외의 상품성을 유지할 수 있었다.

식물생장조절제 Trinexapac-ethyl을 이용한 그린관리 (Green management of using with Trinexapac-ethyl)

  • 본 연구는 식물생장조절제 Trinexapac-ethyl을 골프장에 사용한 후 하절기 크리핑 벤트그래스에서 나타나는 생육특성을 파악해, 골프장 코스관리의 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행되었으며 그 결과, 잔디 밀도는 Trinexapac-ethyl 처리 후 대조구에 비해 밀도는 평균 1.7개($cm^2$) 높았으며, 생육조건이 좋지 않은 6월부터 7월 사이에는 평균 2개($cm^2$)이상 높아, 여름철 밀도의 차이가 컸다. 뿌리길이는 대조구에 비해 평균 0.3cm 길게 나타났으며, 6월과 8월을 제외하면 나머지 기간 동안 뿌리 길이의 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 시각적 품질의 차이는 매우 컸는데, 시험 기간 내내 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 품질을 유지하였으며, 특히 장마철과 고온기에도 대조구에 비해 하고현상이 적게 발생되어, trinexapac-ethyl에 의한 고온 스트레스 경감 효과가 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 그린스피드의 차이는 조사 시간 내내 큰 유의차를 보였으며, 특히 벤트그래스 생육에 불리한 6월 말부터 7월 중순까지는 생장조절제에 의한 그린스피드 효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해, 잔디 생육이 왕성한 봄부터 크리핑 벤트그래스에 생장조절제를 주기적으로 처리 할 경우, 잔디 밀도와 시각적 품질이 개선되고 그린스피드도 빨라져 관리가 힘든 장마철과 여름철 그린관리에 매우 효과적이라는 사실을 알게 되었다. 향후에는 농약 및 비료와의 혼용가능성에 대한 연구가 수행될 예정이며, 생장조절제 trinexapac-ethyl의 다음 해 봄철 그린-업에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구도 수행될 예정이다.

제주도 중문관광단지 연안해역 수질의 계절변동 (Seasonal Variations of Water Quality in the Coastal Sea of Jungmun Resort Complex in Jeiu Island)

  • This study has been carried out to find the water Quality in coastal sea of fungmun area, southern Jeju Island. In-situ observations and water sampling had been made every month from July 1997 to June 2000. The distributions of water temperature and salinity over the study area have been 13.8~27.0℃ and 30.0~34.7‰, respectively. Salinity is showed low salinity from June to September (rainy season) because of rain. Tsushima Warm Waters (TWW) as ≥15℃ and ≥34‰ influence the adjacent sea around Jeju Island all year round. Yangtse Coastal Waters (YCW) influence the surface layer around Jeju from June to September and so strong stratification (termocline, halocline) resulted at the depth of between 20~30m at outer-sea. However the stratification does not happen even in summer at inner-sea, which seem to be caused due to vertical mixing by wind, waves and tides. A water mass of high value of water temperature and salinity (respectively 14.1~17.7℃, 33.9~34.1‰) stayed at the lower layer in outer-sea all the year round. It is probably formed by mixing between TWW and YSBCW(Yellow Sea Bottom Cold Water). The mean value of DO was the lowest in summer and the highest in winter. COD and TH were the highest in summer and the lowest in winter. However, TP showed the lowest value in summer season, because the mean value of N/P ratio was over 16. The mean of N/P ratio was under 16 in other seasons. The phosphate would be a limiting factor in the growth of phytoplanHon in summer. Nitrate would be a limiting factor in other seasons. Distribution of chlorophyll a did not show any seasonal change in the study period, but especially increased during April and May in the first year(1998) and the second year(1999) all over the study area, which suggested that phytoplankton inhabitation distributed widely in the study area. The space averaged values were the highest for TIN in rainy season and lower for TP in rainy season than in other seasons. It suggests that river runoff influences the inner-sea.
