The aim of this paper is to understand the nature of transformation of the Chinese economy. China's approach to the process of economic development in the aftermath of the reforms in the late 1970's has been a success story and a phenomenon of great significance. It helped millions of people move out of poverty and achieve an acceptable standard of life. The economic policy of China was more effective than India's; we measured this effectiveness in terms of two fundamental approach: first, growth was fundamental for ensuring and increasing the wellbeing as it increases total output in China compare to India; second, growth was pro-poor in China, but not in India, during the period 2000-2011. In this paper, we seek to explain how China reduced extreme poverty through reforms, and this reform experience of China stands out for three reasons. The first is renewed thrust on the rural economy and private sector, second is decentralized planning, and third is investment in human resource development. This experience of China's reform success offers a significant lesson for most of the developing countries, especially India, since India has more similarities with China. Therefore, this experience is particularly insightful for India.
A phenomenological study was conducted to investigate the experiences of mothers pregnant via in vitro fertilization (IVF). Sample of nine mothers participated. Ten theme clusters emerged when the formulated meanings were organized into categories. During the infertility period, the participants were subject to self- depreciation, envy, anxiety, and depression. It changed their priorities in life from a job-oriented life to one where having a baby was the most important thing. After trying numerous alternative therapies, IVF became their last hope in having a baby. Since the success rate for IVF is low (only 20-30%), the participants for the treatment were overwhelmed with uncertainty, and it led to further anxiety, depression and despair. Success of pregnancy gave them extreme satisfaction, but they became very cautious in their day-to-day life because of their fear of abortion and early delivery. Some were even worried about the side effect of IVF during the pregnancy. Finally, the delivery of the baby gave them relief from the obligation of having a baby. Women did not have any difficulties in rearing a "test tube baby" except in the case of twins. Most women had no ethical difficulty in having a baby by IVF. However they did not wish this information to be revealed to other people. They again turned to IVF to have a son(s) when the resultory child(s) was a daughter(s). This is because of the strong preference for sons in Korean society.
Purpose: The purpose of this paper proposes an effective and systematic methods of risk management in product development project. Methods: This paper first discusses what risk factors be considered during product development period and then presented a model for preventive risk management. For that, this paper proposes how to evaluate the risk factors and risk events, and how to select prevention action for managing risk factors effectively. For this process, this paper uses well-known quality tools such as House of Quality (HOQ) and Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) methods. Results: There is an inherent need for the development of robust risk management framework in order for product development projects to be successful. The identification and quantification of risk factors, risk events, and prevention actions can have significant effects on the success of a product development projects. Project managers can implement the proposed model to improve project success. Conclusion: The findings showed that this method would be effective for project managements in dealing with risk management issues in product development projects. This method presented would be an one of good guidelines for practitioners in the industry.

The COVID-19 pandemic has a great impact in various ways. It changes the normal routine of lives and businesses. Many businesses encounter tremendous financial pressure, some of them lay off workers or choose to close down. According to the statistics, e-commerce experiences a four-fold growth in sales during the pandemic period. There is an urgency for firms to digitalize their businesses to respond to the change in the landscape of purchasing patterns of consumers. The purpose of this study is to understand the success of a few popular apparel brands in digital businesses. This is a qualitative research, and secondary data is collected for the analysis. The findings reveal that all of them engage in omni-channel methods in digitizing their businesses while utilizing other forms of technologies in their product and operational management. All selected firms agree with the importance of digital business, and omni-channel retailing is their choice. In these unprecedented times, the sustainable success of the apparel firms in digital businesses requires a flexible and innovative approach and a commitment to achieving operational excellence. Continuous renewal and digital transformation are needed so that these companies have the capabilities to adapt to changes and reap the benefits of a satisfactory organizational performance.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the tourism industry due to the resulting travel restrictions as well as a slump in demand among travelers. The tourism industry has been massively affected by the spread of coronavirus, as many countries have introduced travel restrictions in an attempt to contain its spread. In Vietnam, the government has largely been credited for the country's success in keeping COVID-19 transmission rates under control. Early awareness of the pandemic, appropriate, drastic, and people-centric measures, as well as public support, are the main factors behind the success of Vietnam. In that context, it is observed that people's travel demand has bounced back and this research will examine factors driving the public's travel intention in the post-crisis (pandemic) period. The survey was conducted on the Internet using questionnaires designed in the Google platform. Data was collected from April 16 to May 31, 2020, from 154 Vietnamese participants. Research findings demonstrate 4 direct and indirect determinants of travel intention. The strongest effects come from perceived behavioral control which is influenced by subjective well-being. Perceived risk negatively correlates with Self-efficacy and subjective well-being. Conducted in the context of post-COVID-19, the research implies that once the pandemic has been controlled, perceived risks, although still exist, insignificantly influence the public's travel intention.

Currency crisis, in order to solve the problem of the polarization of economic and serious youth unemployment rate, to prepare for the smart new economic era, and like to support and nurture the one-persion creating company of mobile app industry of central and local government people policies are underway. To be able to contribute to the establishment of the success of mobile app One-person creating company, to target the mobile app One-person creating company int the Busan region, we conducted an empirical study of success factors, and thus, support these solutions, more effective and efficient in an attempt to try to seek the support measures, was carried out this research. In this study, results derive a research three hypotheses about the success factors of One-person creating company through literature discussion, were investigated on the basis of empirical data of the mobile app one-persion creative company of Busan region of 51 individual, establishment of company period is longer, the number of organizations employee is large and attract a lot of external funds, and was able to find the tendency of more entrepreneurs receives an education, may increase an outcome of business. In this study, it is possible to obtain the policy implications as follows. First, to attract investment funds and attract government funding to support the funding of One-person creating company, it is necessary to pay attention more. Second, policy founder to an education about the management on an ongoing basis is needed than the education of marketing and technology for human resources development. Future, you will be able to expand across the country study company, we have established a policy of mobile app industry of national dimension, in this foundation, will be expanded to all industries.

The evaluation of the local festival events that supports promising local festivals needs to well reflect the degree of success of the local festival events that have been implemented. Many local governments of the country have competitively implemented local festival events, some of which turned to be a success, while others not. This alerts the need for investigating whether the evaluation of the local festival events is appropriate, in order to better execute the provincial finance. The paper investigates this using the data of cultural tourism festivals from 2012 to 2014. More specifically, the paper first examines the relationships between choice dimensions (festival success index) and visitors' satisfaction, and then identify whether visitors' satisfaction and festival evaluation results are significantly correlated. This after all indicates whether the festival success index are well reflected in the festival evaluation results. The findings tell that choice dimensions well explain the visitors' satisfaction, whereas the visitors' satisfaction does not have a significant correlation with the festival evaluation results. This potentially implies that the current scheme of the local festival evaluation needs more rigorous validity test and additional research and practice for the improved evaluation protocol.
Background: Neovascular glaucoma is common secondary glaucoma at high risk for failure of glaucoma filtering surgery. Recently, trabeculectomy with adjunctive mitomycin C trabeculectomy has been tried to improve the surgical success rate of conventional trabeculectomy. But, the long-term effects of mitomycin C trabeculectomy for neovascular glaucoma are unknown. Thus, we evaluated the long-term effects of mitomycin C trabeculectomy and its prognostic factors influencing the outcome. Materials and Methods: Medical records of 62 eyes of 55 neovascular glaucoma who had undergone mitomycin C trabeculectomy were retrospectively reviewed. Surgical success was defined as intraocular pressures of 21 mmHg or less with or without glaucoma medications and no loss of light perception. Surgical failure was defined as postoperative loss of light perception in patients with preoperative vision better than light perception, additional glaucoma surgery, or phthisis bulbi in patients with preoperative vision of no light perception. Results: Postoperative success was obtained in 37 (60%) out of 62 eyes after mean followup period of $23.9{\pm}16.2$ months. Using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, cumulative success rate at the 6-, 12-, 24- and 36-month intervals were 85%, 71%, 57% and 52%, respectively. Success rate was greater in eyes with diabetic retinopathy than other causes(p=0.005) and in eyes with preoperative panretinal photocoagulation(PRP) than without PRP(p=0.015). However, Cox proportional hazard regression analysis revealed that preoperative PRP was not a significant risk factor for surgical failure. Conclusion: Prognosis of neovascular glaucoma caused by diabetic retinopathy was better than that caused by the other disorders following mitomycin C trabeculectomy. The author would suggest that mitomycin C trabeculectomy could be effective and relatively safe as the first procedure of choice before performing glaucoma drainage device implantation or cyclodestructive procedure.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intranodal lymphangiography and thoracic duct embolization (TDE) for chyle leakage (CL) after thyroid surgery. Materials and Methods: Fourteen patients who underwent intranodal lymphangiography and TDE for CL after thyroid surgery were included in this retrospective study. Among the 14 patients, 13 underwent bilateral total thyroidectomy with neck dissection (central compartment neck dissection [CCND], n = 13; left modified radical neck dissection (MRND), n = 11; bilateral MRND, n = 2), and one patient underwent left hemithyroidectomy with CCND. Ten patients (76.9%) had high-output CL (> 500 mL/d). Before the procedure, surgical intervention was attempted in three patients (thoracic duct ligation, n = 1; lymphatic leakage site ligation, n = 2). Lymphangiographic findings, technical and clinical successes, and complications were analyzed. Technical success was defined as the successful embolization of the thoracic duct after access to the lymphatic duct via the transabdominal route. Clinical success was defined as the resolution of CL or surgical drain removal. Results: On lymphangiography, ethiodized oil leakage near the surgical bed was identified in 12 of 14 patients (85.7%). The technical success rate of TDE was 78.6% (11/14). Transabdominal antegrade access was not feasible due to the inability to visualize the identifiable cisterna chyli or a prominent lumbar lymphatic duct. Among patients who underwent a technically successful TDE, the clinical success rate was 90.1% (10/11). The median time from the procedure to drain removal was 3 days (with a range of 1-13 days) for the 13 patients who underwent surgical drainage. No CL recurrence was observed during the follow-up period (ranging from 2-44 months; median, 8 months). There were no complications, except for one case of chylothorax that developed after TDE. Conclusion: TDE appears to be a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment option for CL after thyroid surgery, with acceptable technical and clinical success rates.
