A new seismic design criteria of electric transmission and substation facilities has been proposed. For this propose, the historic data of the earthquake damage and the state-of-the-art of the facilities were carefully reviewed and evaluated. Based on the results, a most reasonable and efficient design criteria has been extracted and proposed for the practical design of the facilities. The criteria is expected to be effectively used for obtaining the seismic safety of newly constructed or extensioning facilities. However, an independent criteria is required to evaluate and improve the seismic capacity of existing facilities

In the electric railway systems, it is very important that we should design the system configuration, location and power capacity of substation. This paper presents the results of system configuration and system design of the DC traction power supply for the test line of Light Rail Vehicle. The voltage fluctuation of train and the power capacity of substation are calculated by computer simulation using the nodal equation, K.C.L／K.V.L, Ohm's law and superposition theory.

It is important to evaluate the power quality at a substation when a test train is running. Especially, the Korea Electric Power Company(KEPCO) restrict the power quality generated from the electrical train within limited value. So, this paper represents the results of the power quality test when Hanvit 350 is running at the KTX high speed line and the assessment.

GIS(Gas-Insulated Switchgear)형 옥내변전소에 있어서 접지계의 구성은 접지도체를 포설할 수 있는 면적이 협소하기 때문에 특별한 설계방법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 접지망의 전위해석과 축소형 변전소의 접지계 설계기법을 제시하였고, 아울러 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 위한 프로그램을 작성하고 그 시뮬레이션 결과를 측정치와 비교하여 프로그램의 타당성을 입증하였다.

This paper represents the criteria of earthing system for substation design in Korea. The construction of new substations and expansion of existing facilities are commonplace projects in KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation). The KEPCO has had the only design criteria, which need to be adequate criteria considering the new technology and environment in Korea.

It is very necessary to adopt bad data processing in order to maintain the security and the reliability of data acquisition and management in the substation. This paper presents a bad data processing method of per module unit by using rule based system. The propriety of this method has been verified by the case study
