A Study on the Display Considerations of RDA Resource Type (RDA 자원유형 디스플레이를 위한 고려사항에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to find the display considerations of RDA resource type - content type, media type, and carrier type. The Literature review, the case study, and the survey were used as the research method. 5 display strategies were suggested in this study. First, content and carrier types were better displayed than all 3 types of RDA resources. Second, two kinds of algorithm should be considered for RDA resource icon display. One was the combination of the terms of carrier types plus content types icon. The other was the combination of carrier types icon and content types icon in which the terms reflecting types must be included. Third, the subfield of 33x must be used for the paired display of content type and carrier type of multi-types resources. Fourth, in brief display, resource type icon was better positioned on the left and upper side and in detailed display, resource types were better located in description area. Fifth, 'format' was used as display indication phrase. This study would contribute to the design for the resource display by suggesting the practical display considerations of RDA resource type.

A New Driving Method Generating Self-Erasing Discharge to Improve Luminous Efficiency in AC PDP (AC PDP에서 휘도효율을 향상시키기 위하여 자기소거 방전을 발생시키는 새로운 구동방법)

  • A new sustain driving method is proposed to improve luminous efficiency by the generation of the self-erasing discharge during a sustain period in AC plasma display panel. As one subfield time in the conventional AC PDP is divided into the reset, address, and sustain period. Among them, as the square sustain waveform is alternately applied to the X and Y electrodes on the front plate during the sustain period, the plasma discharge for displaying the image is continuously produced. Meanwhile, in the conventional driving method, the address waveform applied to the A electrode on the rear plate is only driving during an address period and grounded during a sustain period. In this experiment, the negative pulse is applied to the A electrode at the latter part of the sustain pulse for improving the luminous efficiency producing the self-erasing discharge during the sustain period. The negative pulse on the A electrode can change from the space to the wall charge and induce the additional discharge by the accumulated wall charge when the voltages of three electrodes are grounded. As a result, the luminous efficiency will be measured with changes in the voltage level of the A electrode and the new driving method can be improved to the luminous efficiency about 32 % compared with the conventional driving method.

The Analysis of Korean Fair Trade Commission's Judgemental Cases of Cartels in Telecommunications and Media Industry (통신 및 미디어 산업에서의 카르텔에 대한 심결사례 연구 행정지도, 카르텔유형, 경쟁제한성 판단, 카르텔 제재를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed Korean Fair Trade Commission's judgemental cases of cartels in telecommunications and media industry and presented the following results. First, cartels were formed frequently in multi-channel broadcasting industry, telecommunications industry, movie industry, and newspaper industry. In addition, price-fixing were observed in almost all subfield of telecommunications and media industry. Second, administrative guidance facilitated more opportunities for collusion in the telecommunications industry than in the media industry. Third, the telecommunications and media industry, similar to overall domestic industries, had a high proportion of hard-core cartels. Fourth, the depth of judgemental case in evaluating agreements among competitors was generally low, even though detail evaluations were found in the cases of large fines. Fifth, the overall level of sanctions was relatively low.

  • Recently, due to the launch of digital broadcasting service, the demand of Flat Panel Display (FPD) is sharply rising. Among them, the PDP is expected to be one of the most promising digital displays of next generation because of its large screen size, high resolution, thinness and board field of view. Meanwhile, the PDP uses ADS (Address Display-period Separation) scheme which divide one subfield into address and sustaining period to express the grey scale of images. Since the output of sustaining power module Is mostly used for sustaining period, the load of the sustaining power module can be considered as a pulsating load. Due to this particular load condition, if the wide ZVS range of the power switches is not guaranteed, the hard switching causes large amount of switching loss and serious thermal problem in power module. In this paper, a high efficiency power conversion circuit for 60' PDP sustaining power module which achieves wide ZVS range with the help of additional ZVS tank is proposed. According to the various gating methods, the different operations of the proposed converter are presented. And, to confirm the properties of the proposed converter, an experimental prototype of 900W power converter is constructed md tested. As a result, more than $92\%$ of high efficiency is obtained at $10\%$ load condition, and the ZVS operation is achieved from full load to $10\%$ load condition.

  • In the knowledge-based society, the quality of education is the core factor of national development. Above all, for improving educational quality, it is important to advance teacher's quality. Therefore, in order to maintaining high-level quality of education, it is required to select and appoint competent teacher. It deserves emphasis on importance of teacher recruitment test for maintaining high-level quality of education in this changes of age. Specially, Secondary School Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject is declined qualitatively as each Subject of Electricity Electronics Communication is integrated and criterion of examination is obscured. This research analyzed The seventh curriculum and curriculum of Institution of Teacher Education of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject and already known examination of it On the basis of analyzing result, A field, proportion and points of examination decided through a expert conference are as follow: first, Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject consists of subject pedagogics and contents. a proportion of subject pedagogics is 20% and subject contents is 80%. second, a subfield of subject contents consists of industrial education, industrial curriculum, industrial instruction method, practical guidance method, management of practical field organization, assesment of industrial education, industrial-educational cooperation and vocation and career education. third, subject contents consists of a common special, foundation special and application special field. a common a proportion of special field is 7.4%, foundation special is 20% and application special field which consists of electric field(21.3%), electronic field(21.3%) and communication field(10%) is 52.6%. fourth, Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject execute practical technique test after finishing writing test.

Comparative Education and Educational Evaluation (비교교육학과 교육평가학)

  • This study was conducted to help establish the status of comparative education as an academic discipline by investigating its relationship with educational evaluation. Comparative education as a subfield of education covers other areas of study in education, while educational evaluation is a study of methodology. First, international comparative study was investigated, and recent methodologies in educational evaluation were introduced. International comparative study started in 1960's, and is being expanded. The participating countries hope for better education by comparing their educational curricula and practices with others. For international comparative studies, a differential item functioning analysis as a multigroup analysis can provide information on what sociocultural factors other than the construct are affecting the measurement results. The study dataset has a hierarchical structure so that multilevel item response theory is suitable to obtain multidimensional national profiles. Although there have been methodological advances in educational evaluation, the methods are not available in comparative education. In order to reduce the gap, scholars in educational evaluation should try to make the methods easily available, while those in comparative education should try to use the exact and precise methods in their studies.

Development and Application of Self-Evaluation Test Items for Secondary Science Teacher Professional Growth (중등 과학교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 자기평가 도구의 개발과 적용)

  • The purpose of this paper was to develop and execute self-appraisal test items on secondary science teachers. Test items included 6 sub-fields-subject knowledge, teaching strategies, teaching skills, assessment, laboratory management, and professional development - and 77 items. Using these test items, science teachers were able to evaluate their ability as prescribed by a 5-point Likert scale. Furthermore, teachers were able to comprehend fields showing their highest and lowest scores among the 6 sub-fields. They could then place special attention on the lowest field insuring self-growth as a science teacher. Self-appraisal test items were developed by analyzing related references on teacher evaluation criteria and standards. 220 subjects composed the sample on which these test items were executed. The results of this study were as follows. First, content validity of the test items was 80.8%. The range of sub-field reliabilities was .76 - .86 and the reliability coefficient of the entire test was .95. The range of correlation coefficient between each subfield was .54 - .69 and that of subfields and entire test was .54 - .79. The correlation coefficient between professional development and the whole test was .79, the highest coefficient observed. Second, significant difference was found according to teaching experience. More experienced teachers had higher scores in all 6 sub-fields (p<.05). In addition, a significant difference according to gender was observed in subject knowledge and laboratory management (p<.05); male teachers had higher scores than female teachers. Also, the higher the level of experience, the higher the scores for subject knowledge (p<.05). Lastly, the teacher's major did not result in any significant differences.
