  • The purpose of this study was to develop the educational program model for adolescent substance abusers in relation to preventive and rehabilitative aspects. This educational program model was developed based not only on the social support theory ecological-developmental approach and cognitive-behavioral approach but also on previous studies. This model can be used both for adolescent substance abusers in early stage and in recovery stage. The main contribution of this study is that adolescent abusers will recover effectively through practicing this educational program model.

  • The $textsc{k}$-$\varepsilon$ algebraic stress model (KEASM) was applied to atmospheric dispersion simulation using the Lagrangian particle dispersion model and was compared with the most popular turbulence closure model in the field of atmospheric simulation, the Mellor-Yamada (MY) model. KEASM has been rarely applied to atmospheric simulation, but it includes the pressure redistribution effect of buoyancy due to heat and momentum fluxes. On the other hand, such effect is excluded from MY model. In the simulation study, the difference in the two turbulence models was reflected to both the turbulent velocity and the Lagrangian time scale. There was little difference in the vertical diffusion coefficient $\sigma$$_{z}$. However, the horizontal diffusion coefficient or calculated by KEASM was larger than that by MY model, coincided with the Pasquill-Gifford (PG) chart. The applicability of KEASM to atmospheric simulations was demonstrated by the simulations.s.

  • Users' demands on the space are changing in variety. These demands include reasonable space and form, harmonious composition with surroundings and esthetic satisfaction that could be brought by personal tastes and preferences. In addition, models that are introduced from designing process and from various forms tend to lack objective decision making standard. Accordingly it is difficult to find a clear alternative plan and process. In an effort to solve these problems, the objects of this study are; to propose an analysis model of image and space by using image process techniques that are on study in the field of artificial intelligence based on acquisition of digital image and to verify the application possibilities of such analysis model, 'Isovist' on quantitative analysis. The model can be applied with variable analysis model, as digital image process and other analysis model such as 'Isovist' It is possible that further study can complement problems from this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to set up the situated learning model for computer education and to investigate which method has better effect on the students' computer skill and learning attitude among the situated learning model and the traditional learning model. The result of this study is as follows. In order to investigate the effect of the students' learning attitude, students had been tested on six factors: the Understanding, the Interest, the Achievement, the Concentration, the Applicability, and the Spontaneity. As for the Understanding, the traditional learning model has better effect on students than the situated learning model. But the situated learning model was much superior in the other factors to the traditional learning model. Next, it had been examined how much students improved their computer skills under the situated learning model and under the traditional learning model. The study showed that the traditional learning model resulted in a little bit higher scores than the situated learning model. However, it was a great success to find out that the situated learning model is superior in the students' learning attitude to the traditional learning model.

  • This study proposes a new ERAM model with building population weighting. Previous studies of applying weightings on ERAM model on the scale of urban space were focused on the relationship between the street and the human behavior. However, this study focuses on the influences that buildings give to human behavior and develops a building population weighted ERAM model. This research starts by analyzing ERAM model to its basic compositions, which are adjacency matrix and row vector. It applies building population weighting to the row vector, while previous studies put weightings in the adjacency matrix. Building population weighted ERAM model calculates the building population weighting based on GIS data, which provides objective and massive data of buildings in the urban scale. For the verification of the model, Insa-dong and Myeong-dong were analyzed with both ERAM model and building population weighted ERAM model. The results were analyzed through the correlation test with actual pedestrian population data of the two districts. As a result, the explanation ability of building population weighted ERAM model for the pedestrian population turned out to be higher than the ERAM model. Since building population weighted ERAM model has the structure that can be combined with other weighted ERAM models, it is expected to develop a multi-weighted ERAM model with better explanation ability as a further study.

  • This study was conducted to establish finance performance evaluation model for physicians in each clinical department, by using factors which determines financial outcome(performance) in each clinical department The ultimate aim of study is to develop effective performance-based pay system for physicians. The system, by motivating physicians, should increase their productivity. To do so, it is critical to establish finance performance evaluation model to achieve final goal of this study. 232 private hospitals were chosen from 693 hospitals which were subject to hospital survey by the Korea Institute of Health Services Management and their revenue and expense-related data during 1997 were collected. By adopting multiple regression method, the study shows that the evaluation model for each clinical department was statistically significant. The study suggest the effective performance-based pay system based on financial performance of each clinical department. The pay system includes the level of compensation, the way of how to allocate profits to each department, and criteria whether the compensation should provide or not. In conclusion, the study has following implications. First, the study suggest finance performance evaluation model for each clinical department Second, the study suggest guidelines and plans to establish qualitative measure of financial performance in each clinical department. Third, the study suggest that adopting performance-based pay for physicians could be impetus to achieve organizational goal by motivating them with fair compensation.

  • Focusing on working with fashion show as fashion model in South Korea, this study was develop a fashion model typology based on specific model characteristics related demographics and body, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction factors. The survey was done through questionnaire and 194 fashion models were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis used in this study were frequency, ${\chi}^2$-test, cluster Analysis, MANOVA. ANOVA and Duncan multiple range test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The majority of sample were as follows: unmarried, college graduate and undergraduate, resident in the Seoul, 20 to 24 yrs old female with 175-177 cm, 52-54 kg, B-W-H (33-24-35 inch). 2) The types of fashion model were classified into 4 types: showing type, lack of professionalism type, matured professionalism type, dissatisfaction with job-environment type. The model segments were profiled on levels of various job related attitude factors, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction, model education, working condition, human relation, regulation discrimination, fashion show stage level, the job of model, body & clothing, and promising job. 3) There were significant differences found between their sex, academic background, guarantee, and in all factors in their job related attitude factors, job satisfaction/dissatisfaction, model education, working condition, human relation, regulation discrimination, fashion show stage level, the job of model, body & clothing, style promising job.

  • In order to improve the traditional post harvest system in Korea, a model for mechanized rice drying and storage system was developed and introduced as the first part of the study(Park, 1986). As the second part of the study, capital requirement and cost of the model system was analyzed. Also, optimum size of the model system was estimated by comparing with the traditional harvest system. From the study, the following results can be concluded: 1. The capital requirement of the model system decreases as the model size increases. For example, a model system having 500 ton storage capacity requires 439,000 Won/ton. However it requires 313,200 Won/ton only, if the model size increases to 1000 ton. 2. Also, total cost of the model system decreases as the model size increases. For example, total costs of the model system having 500 ton and 1000 ton storage capacity are 101,208 Won/ton and 69,320 Won/ton, respectively. 3. The breakeven point (optimum size) of the model can be estimated around 630 ton storage capacity if the operation rate is assumed as 100%. However, the optimum size of the model is 710 ton, if the operation rate it assumed 80%.
