  • This study examined 1) student pilots' personality types, 2) the correlation between students' personality types and their achievement in flight training, 3) the correlation between students' personality types and Instructor Pilot(IP)s' personality type. The study used the Korean version of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) form. A total of 164 students in the year of 2000-2003 completed the inventory. The noticeable majority of student pilot were extroverted (59.6%) - Sensing (79.5%) - Thinking (70.2%) - Judgers (68.9%). Comparing personality types with flight achievement in showed no significant correlation. There was, however, a significant difference seen in comparing personality types with students' flight achievements. Thinking-type students showed higher flight achievements than feeling-type, and some of the personality types combination affects trainee's flight achievement. When both student and the Instructor have same attitude such as E-E or I-I, student's flight achievement was higher than when they have opposite attitude of personality. these findings implicate that the cooperation of students' and IP's personality could affect the students' flight achievement.

  • In contemporary society, many fishery industries face a serious problem of having an insufficient number of junior ship officers and engineers. Even though many fishery high schools in Korea made significant effort to produce many talented junior officers and engineers, but after graduation, the students are reluctant to get a job on the fishing vessels. Furthermore, Korean government also invested a large amount of money to train students for ocean-going and costal & near-ocean fishing vessels. However, despite the government's great effort on the training program and education, only a few students wish to work on the fishing vessels. In this article, the author tried to find answers for various questions such as what are the factors that the student prefer, where the student to want to get a job in fishery industries, and how student feel about working at fishing vessels. Furthermore, the author also analyzed the differences between high school student group and Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology(KIMFT) student group about occupational orientation by utilizing SPSS statistical program. Additionally, the author surveyed the current onboard status of job position of the high school and KIMFT alumni. This study's results and data will be used for aiding further stimulation and advertisement of job position in fishing vessels and continued daily lives on board.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Interactive Metronome (IM) training on the reading fluency of an elementary school student. Methods : This study followed the ABA design, a single-case research method, and was conducted on one elementary school student. From October 2019 to December 2019, a three-session baseline phase (A), twelve-session intervention phase (B), and three-session post-baseline phase (A') were conducted. The intervention was IM training, and long-form assessment (LFA) of IM and BASA:R were performed for each session. In addition, BASA:R was conducted three times at baseline and post-baseline. Result : Compared with baseline, there was a significant improvement in reading fluency after the IM training intervention. Conclusions : IM training can be useful for increasing reading fluency. The results of this work demonstrate the efficacy of IM training as a clinical intervention to improve reading fluency in elementary school students.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online basic clinical training on critical thinking disposition, self determination motivation and learning satisfaction for nursing student in the COVID-19 situation. This study is one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were collected using an online questionnaire for third-year nursing students located in G city, and 41 students participated in the final. The results of this study showed that critical thinking disposition(p=.013) and self determination motivation(p=.007) increased statistically significantly after the online basic clinical training. This findings indicate that online basic clinical training is effective in improving critical thinking disposition, self determination motivation. As it is difficult to perform direct nursing in the COVID-19 medical field recently, it is expected that the limitations of online clinical practice can be overcome by using various online contents.

  • Background: This study evaluated the effectiveness of upper thoracic manipulation (UTM) and proprioceptive training versus proprioceptive training alone on forward head posture (FHP) and cervicocephalic joint position sense (CJPS) in asymptomatic university students during a short interval of time. Objectives: To evaluate whether the suggested combination would provide greater benefit, and be superior to proprioceptive training alone in improving proprioceptive acuity and head posture. Design: A single-blind randomized controlled trial. Methods: Thirty-three university student volunteers with asymptomatic FHP were recruited. Subjects were randomly assigned to a manipulation group (n=16) receiving UTM combined with proprioceptive training or a proprioception group (n=17) receiving proprioceptive training only. The intervention period lasted 5 weeks in total, and consisted of one 15 to 20-minute session per week. FHP and CJPS were assessed before and after the intervention. Results: A significant pre- to post-intervention decrease in FHP and joint position error was identified in both groups (P<.05). Subjects in the manipulation group demonstrated greater improvements in CJPS and head posture compared to the proprioception group (P<.05). Conclusion: These findings support employing either intervention for treating asymptomatic students with FHP. However, the addition of UTM to proprioceptive training was more effective than proprioceptive training alone in reducing joint position errors and improving head posture.

  • The Pilot Aptitude Research Equipment (PARE) at the Republic of Korea Air Force Academy had been installed to study the pilot aptitude of the cadets and the student pilots(Navy officers and Air Force officers from the pilot scholarship programs and the ROTC). The T-37 simulated flight program and procedure, and the automatic evaluated program for simulated flight have been orderly developed to use the PARE effectively. The cadets who entered started to get simulated flight training by using those developed programs. Their flight situation has been recorded by the automatic evaluated program whenever they got the training. And then the cadets who took part in the simulated flight started the elementary combat flight training in 1,999 after getting appointed to an office and finished the advanced combat flight training in 2,001. The study of the relationship between the simulated flight and the combat flight training has begun after finding their combat flight training results. The Logistic Discriminal Analysis, technique of the SAS statistical analysis package was used to study the pilot aptitude model through the simulated flight training. This study showed that it is possible to pre-estimate the result of the combat flight training using the PARE machine.

  • Background: By examining the safety issues involved in on-site training sessions conducted at specialized vocational high schools, and by analyzing the effects of non-destructive testing (NDT) safety training, this study aims to contribute to ensuring the general safety of high school students. Materials and Methods: Students who expressed an interest in participation were surveyed regarding current NDT training practices, as well as NDT safety training. A total of 361 students from 4 schools participated in this study; 37.7% (136 students) were from the Seoul metropolitan area and 62.3% (225 students) were from other areas. Results and Discussion: Of the respondents, 2.2% (8 students) reported having engaged in NDT. As a result of safety training, statistically significant improvements were observed in most areas, except for individuals with previous NDT experience. The areas of improvement included safety awareness, acquisition of knowledge, subjective knowledge levels, objective knowledge levels, and adjustments to existing personal attitudes. Conclusion: Even at absolutely necessary observation-only training sessions, it is crucial that sufficient safety training and additional safety measures be adequately provided.

  • Many students can experience, such as for credit and social activities through field trips and participate in field trips. For on-site field training exercise participants currently in Gwangju University They take part in field trip 1, 2, 3 and 4 as the type.. Field Practice 1 type in summer and 2 in winter of 4-week period during vacation holidays with 3 credits, field trips 3 type of 8-week period during vacational holidays with 6 credits recognized for \400,000 in job training fee is also payable by the Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation Agency. 4 types of job training are fourth grade (Architecture Grade 5) can be employed in conjunction for more than 15 weeks and admitted to the second semester of 15 credits by participating in job training. For most schools, but to pay a fee-job training at the University of Hanyang University, Kyungpook National University has a student assistance in the field training participating companies. This establishment does not have a clear idea of the legal entities responsible in the event of industrial accidents. Academic research is also nonexistent state for them. In this paper, we distinguish the personality for it via the existing labor precedents with respect to the legal responsibility of an industrial accident. This aims at putting the means to establish the role of the University of job training support.
