Data mining technique was used to track student's performance during years studding in college and determine the impact of GPA_SEC on the GPA student rates according to the current academic advising method used on student's status. The study utilized a sample of 5436 individuals were drawn from two colleges in Majmaah University, KSA during 2013-2018 period. The results showed that the student's completion status in terms of graduation, dropout, Stumbling or dismissed was classified according to the average grades of admission from secondary school GPA_SEC. The results show the effect of the current academic advising that most of students gain less grades comparing with GPA_SEC in addition that the higher GPA_SEC was the higher graduation, dropout and dismissed decreased when GPA_SEC was high.. Therefore, the study recommends tracking students academically to evaluate their results of each semester to find out the causes of the deficiencies and addressing them within the departments.

One of the important roles of medical schools is to support medical students in deciding upon their future career path or choosing their specialty. The purpose of this study is to suggest a career advising model and strategies for medical students through a systematic approach. This study consists of three parts. The first part introduces some main career theories: super's career development theory, career decision-making theory, social cognitive career theory, and ecosystem theory. The second part proposes a systematic career advising model using the results acquired from previous studies and theories. This model considers a medical school as a social system that consists of two domains (internal and external). This social system is considered as a complex where various factors interact with each other: students' individual characteristics, institutional policies and culture, curriculum and learning experience, students' perceived specialty characteristics, and aspects of the external environment such as healthcare systems. The third part suggests some career advising strategies based on a systematic approach that medical schools can apply. These research results can be used for designing career advising courses for medical students, integrating various career advising programs and resources of medical schools, and evaluating the outcomes of career advising programs at an institutional level.

최근 대학교육은 내용중심 교육에서 학생들에게 지식의 전달보다는 학생 스스로 지식을 발견하고 이를 적용할 수 있는 능력을 배양하는 학습자중심 교육으로 변화하면서 학생들의 인지적, 정서적 발달을 중요시하게 되었다. 또한 대학의 양적인 팽창과 교수들의 연구업적 평가의 강화, 대학조직의 학부제로의 전환으로 인해 대학생들의 성공적인 대학생활 적응이 각 대학에서 중요한 사안으로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 대학교육의 흐름에 따라 학생에게 필요한 학사관련 정보제공 뿐 아니라, 학생의 잠재력 개발과 진로 및 생애계획을 통합적으로 지도하여 대학생활의 적응을 돕는 학사지도제도가 대학교육의 중요한 분야로 자리 잡고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 학사지도제도의 정착화를 이루고 있는 미국대학의 학사지도제도를 살펴보고, 동국대학교 파라미타칼리지의 학사지도제도 운영현황을 알아봄으로써 국내대학의 학사지도제도 체계화 및 구축방안을 모색해보고자 한다.

The career choices of medical students are significant for both individual students and society, which relies on a robust public healthcare system. Medical schools should provide a conducive environment and diverse information to enable students to make mature career decisions. Yonsei University College of Medicine conducts extracurricular programs for students' career development, including the Career Choice Expo, Career Path Survey, Special Lecture on Career Development, and a Visible Radio Show focused on career counseling. Additionally, the intracurricular activities offered by the college include career advising to students through faculty advisors in learning communities based on students' reflective writing about career-related activities. Medical students, in the process of forming their career decisions, compare what they have learned in the medical school curriculum with information acquired through extracurricular activities, taking into consideration their individual characteristics. Through longitudinal discussions with faculty advisors in learning communities, medical students not only gain recognition for the validity of their exploratory activities but also develop a sense of self-efficacy in making career decisions. The career education program at Yonsei University College of Medicine aligns with recent perspectives emphasizing the integration of career counseling for medical students into the curriculum in order to increase effectiveness.

For this study we conducted a survey far elementary students from 3rd to 6th grade. We performed a frequence test using statistic program and the cross-tabs between gender and grade. We then conducted a thorough interview with the students, after constructing several meaningful questions reflecting the results of survey. As a result of this study, it was critical to arrange interesting inquiry activities in order to foster student's preference for science and attract them to get involved in the science class. We found that teachers were needed to be more flexible to make a group during the classes and teachers would succeed to reflect student's characteristics. In addition, it is necessary for the teachers to refrain from excessive advising or immoderate interrupting student's experiment activity. We conclude that only when the improvements in the curriculum for science education should be made, teachers would allow students to recognize its significances by themselves, and let them follow the inquiring process during the laboratory class for themselves.

본 연구 목적은 대학교육의 학생만족도 영역에 대한 질문을 개발함으로써 학생 만족의 필수 영역을 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구 검토, 교육수요자 FGI, 교육측정 전문가 자문을 거쳐 개발된 56문항에 대해서 S대학교 재학생 547명을 대상으로 온라인조사를 실시하였다. 개발 도구에 대한 요인분석을 통해 개발영역과 문항의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 대학의 학생만족도를 측정하기 위해 교과 과정 및 수업, 학생 지도, 교육 환경, 학생 지원, 대학생활, 학교이미지, 행정서비스 총 7개 영역과 54개의 문항이 도출되었다. 측정도구의 신뢰도 검증을 위해 Crombach' α 이용한 결과, 전체문항에 대해서는 0.970, 요인별로는 0.70~0.93으로 나타났다. 확인적 요인분석 결과 GFI 0.830, CFI 0.916, TLI 0.910, RMR 0.047, RMSEA 0.047로 연구 모델의 적합도가 양호하였다. 집중타당성 검증 결과, 개발된 문항들이 도구의 구성 영역을 일관되게 설명하고 있음을 입증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 대학교육 학생만족도 측정도구는 학생만족도 측정에 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

공학교육 인증제도를 원활하게 수행하기 위해서는 교수를 비롯한 각 구성원의 노력이 필수적이며, 이는 공학교육 인증제도의 성패를 좌우할 만큼 중요한 요소이다. 이의 성공적인 수행은 수반되는 구성원의 업무를 어떻게 효과적으로 최소화할 수 있느냐에 달려있다고 해도 지나치지 않을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 공학교육인증관련업무의 전전산화와 최소화를 목표로 필자 등이 개발하여 창원대학교에서 운용중인 SAVIORS에 대한 내용과 적용사례를 소개하여 동일한 숙제를 안고 있는 기관들과 유익한 정보를 공유하고자 한다. 특히, 학생에 대한 상담 절차, 각 구성원의 설문조사 및 분석 체계, 강의 및 설계 계획서 작성체계, 학습성과 평가 및 성취도 분석, CQI 작성, 졸업생현황 관리체계, 각종 통계처리 둥 공학교육인증의 주요 사항에 대한 총괄관리 및 지원 전산시스템의 구성과 적용사례를 기술하고자 한다.

일반적으로 형성 평가는 교수-학습 활동이 진행 중에 투입되는 평가활동으로 학습 정보에 대한 피드백과 교정 및 교수 방법의 개선을 위한 평가이다. 본 논문에서는 형성평가에서 학습자 개인의 평가 결과에 따라 서로 다른 피드백을 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 지식, 이해, 적용 등의 영역별 기준에 따라 제작된 문항을 통해 각 학습자를 평가하고 이 결과를 기반으로 구분된 학습자 유형에 따라 서로 다른 피드백을 개별 학습자에게 제공하며 학습자는 이를 통해 부족한 영역을 보완하게 된다. 교수자에게는 문항별 정답 비율뿐만 아니라 학생 개개인에게 제공되었던 피드백 내용도 알려주어 교수방법을 개선하도록 한다.

Since 2002, Architecture Schools in Korea was changing long traditional architectural education system from 4 years generalized architectural engineering curriculum to 5 years professional architecture program. Until 2010, 76 architecture schools have changed their program to 5 years course which was focused to design studio education. It was a very rapid change and there was not much time develop their own system which could represent institutional identity, character of students and local environment. Korea joined as a regular member of Canberra Accord in 2010 and it is meaningful to compare Korean architecture program contents to another country education contents. US architecture programs were selected for this comparison study. The goals of this study are to create a comparable understanding the form of contents of Architectural Education in US and Korea and to verify the substantial equivalence of these systems. To achieve above goals, three public institutes of each country were selected and analyzed with general information, history, resources, curriculum and the matrix of Student Performance Criteria for quantitative comparison. For qualitative comparison education context of programs were analyzed with program missions, the way of advising, professional connection and distribution of faculty loads.

One of the most important service industries that emerged in the last decade is "Higher Education". The most of the higher education institutes involve in marketing efforts to build up a good image, to improve the level of satisfaction of students and the stakeholders, to gain competitive advantage with respect to competitors and as well as to increase their market share. Within this intense competition universities should identify and meet the expectations of students to attract more and to retain the existing students. This study is to gain more insights into the dimensions of satisfaction of the university students and factors that affecting their judgments. SSI educational experience questionnaire is used to identify the importance and performance perceptions of students' in Eastern Mediterranean University among different dimensions and also study find out the difference between importance and performance scores of eleven educational experience dimensions. Results show that "Academic Advising", "Instruction Effectiveness", "Recruitment and Financial Aid" and "Student Centeredness" was very important to students. Study also provides managerial implications as well.
