Free vibration of FGM plates with porosity by a shear deformation theory with four variables

  • In this work, a high order hyperbolic shear deformation theory with four variables is presented to study the vibratory behavior of functionally graduated plates. The field of displacement of the theory used in this work is introduced indeterminate integral variables. In addition, the effect of porosity is studied. It is assumed that the material characteristics of the porous FGM plate, varies continuously in the direction of thickness as a function of the power law model in terms of volume fractions of constituents taken into account the homogeneous distribution of porosity. The equations of motion are obtained using the principle of virtual work. An analytical solution of the Navier type for free vibration analysis is obtained for a FGM plate for simply supported boundary conditions. A comparison of the results obtained with those of the literature is made to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the present theory. It can be concluded from his results that the current theory is not only accurate but also simple for the presentation of the response of free vibration and the effect of porosity on the latter.

Pavement condition assessment through jointly estimated road roughness and vehicle parameters

  • Performance assessment of pavements proves useful, in terms of handling the ride quality, controlling the travel time of vehicles and adequate maintenance of pavements. Roughness profiles provide a good measure of the deteriorating condition of the pavement. For the accurate estimates of pavement roughness from dynamic vehicle responses, vehicle parameters should be known accurately. Information on vehicle parameters is uncertain, due to the wear and tear over time. Hence, condition monitoring of pavement requires the identification of pavement roughness along with vehicle parameters. The present study proposes a scheme which estimates the roughness profile of the pavement with the use of accurate estimates of vehicle parameters computed in parallel. Pavement model used in this study is a two-layer Euler-Bernoulli beam resting on a nonlinear Pasternak foundation. The asphalt topping of the pavement in the top layer is modeled as viscoelastic, and the base course bottom layer is modeled as elastic. The viscoelastic response of the top layer is modeled with the help of the Burgers model. The vehicle model considered in this study is a half car model, fitted with accelerometers at specified points. The identification of the coupled system of vehicle-pavement interaction employs a coupled scheme of an unbiased minimum variance estimator and an optimization scheme. The partitioning of observed noisy quantities to be used in the two schemes is investigated in detail before the analysis. The unbiased minimum variance estimator (MVE) make use of a linear state-space formulation including roughness, to overcome the linearization difficulties as in conventional nonlinear filters. MVE gives estimates for the unknown input and fed into the optimization scheme to yield estimates of vehicle parameters. The issue of ill-posedness of the problem is dealt with by introducing a regularization equivalent term in the objective function, specifically where a large number of parameters are to be estimated. Effect of different objective functions is also studied. The outcome of this research is an overall measure of pavement condition.

Optimal Conditions for the Expression of Glycoprotein E2 of Classical Swine Fever Virus using Baculovirus in Insect Cells

  • The structural proteins of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) consist of nucleocapsid protein C and envelope glycoprotein $E^{rns}$ (E0), E1 and E2. Among them, E2, the most immunogenic of the CSFV glycoproteins, induces a protective immune response in swine. In this study, to determine the optimal expression conditions of glycoprotein E2 using baculovirus system, we investigated the influence of insect cells and media to the expression of recombinant E2. Recombinant virus containing glycoprotein E2 coding gene was constructed with bApGOZA DNA. Expression of the glycoprotein E2 was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blot analysis using anti-CSFV E2 monoclonal antibodies. Expression of glycoprotein E2 in Sf21 cells was first observed after 3 days and reached a maximum on the 5th day after infection. Furthermore, the highest levels of glycoprotein E2 expression were observed at multiplicity of infection (MOI) of 5. When three different insect cell lines (Sf21, High-Five and Se301) were tested, High-Five cells showed the highest production. In addition, four different serum-free and serum-supplemented media, respectively, were tested for the expression of glycoprotein E2 and the budded virus (BV) titers. As a result, serum-supplemented medium provided the best conditions for protein production and the BV yield.

발사체 연소기용 산화제 개폐밸브의 핵심요소 기술 개발 (Study for the Development of a Main Oxidizer Shut-off Valve for Liquid Rocket Engines)

  • 발사체 연소기용 산화제 개폐밸브는 비교적 간단한 개폐 작동을 통해, 액체산소를 연소기에 공급 또는 차단한다. 고압, 고유량, 극저온의 액체산소를 운용 유체로 사용할 뿐만 아니라, 설계유량 대비 밸브 차압 또한 낮아야 하는 상당히 까다로운 개발요구조건을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 개발 중인 연소기용 산화제 개폐밸브의 밸브 과도 응답과 같은 기본적인 밸브 특성과 함께, 밸브 성능을 좌우하는 핵심 부분이라고 할 수 있는 밸브 공압 구동부 및 포핏/시트부의 개발 내용을 소개하였다. 밸브의 과도 응답 특성 해석 결과가 시험 측정결과와 매우 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였으며, 구동 공압부 및 포핏/시트부 구조해석을 통해 밸브 무빙파트의 접촉면 반발력과 마찰력을 정량적으로 평가하였다.

충격하중을 받는 외팔보의 동적 강소성 응답 (Dynamic Responses of a Rigid-Plastic Cantilever Subject to Impact)

  • 탄소성 보구조물의 정적 변형은 하중의 크기가 소성붕괴력 $F_c$ 보다 작게 될 때만 적용된다. 그러나 충격이나 폭발 상황에서 소성 붕괴력을 넘는 하중을 받는 보 구조물은 정적인 탄소성 변형과 다른 응답특성을 보이게 된다. 본 논문에서는 간단한 구조 모델로서 강-완전 소성 외팔보를 도입하여 소성 붕괴력보다 큰 하중 ($F>F_c$)이 작용하였을 때 구조물의 응답특성을 연구하였다. 계단 하중(step loading)이 가해졌을 경우에 보의 운동을 무차원하여 계산하고 이 결과를 사각형파 하중(rectangular force pulse)이 가해지는 경우에도 이용하여 해석하였다. 해석 수행 결과 무차원화된 힘을 나타내는 파라메타인 $f{\equiv}F/F_c$의 함수로서 보의 변위를 나타낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 콘크리트 터널 라이닝의 배면 공동은 구조물의 붕괴로까지 이어질 가능성이 있다. 이와 같은 공동을 비파괴로 조사하기 위한 방법 중의 하나가 레이더법이다. 본 연구는 레이더를 이용해 공동을 정량적이고 효율적으로 검사하기 위한 것이다. 본 목적에 부합되도록 3 다이폴 안테나 방식의 레이더를 이용해 특정된 공동의 방향성과 형상을 추정할 수 있는 해석방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 3 다이폴 안테나로부터 얻을 수 있는 전자파의 편파모드방식의 해석방법을 이용해 다양한 방향성과 기하학적형상을 갖는 공동에 대하여 측정 및 해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 전자파의 각 편파모드가 공동의 기하학적 특성에 따라 다르게 응답하는 것을 확인하였고, 이를 통해 특정된 공동의 방향성 및 기하학적 형상을 구분하는 것이 가능하였다.

동수력학 해석 기반 부유식 해양 플랫폼의 동적 운동 및 계류력 산정 (Estimation of Dynamic Motions and Mooring Forces for Floating Type Offshore Platform Based on Hydrodynamic Analysis)

  • This paper deals with numerical analyses in the context of estimations of hydrodynamic motions and dynamic loads for a floating type offshore platform using some exclusive simulation code such as code for the simulation of a floating type of offshore crane based on multi-body dynamics, along with the commercial code AQWA. Verifications of numerical models are carried out by comparing the RAO results from the simulation code. In the verification analyses, hydrodynamic motions are examined in the frequency domain for the floating type offshore platform according to the mooring lines. Both the hydrodynamic motions and dynamic loads are estimated for floating type offshore platforms equipped with the catenary type and taut mooring lines. A review and comparison are carried out for the numerically estimated results. The structural safety of the connection parts in an offshore structure such as a floating type offshore platform is one of the most important design criteria in view of fatigue life. The dynamic loads in the connecting area between a floating type offshore platform and its mooring lines are estimated in detail according to variations in the mechanical properties of the mooring lines. The dynamic tension load on the mooring lines is also estimated.

아파트 단지 인공지반의 계획적 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Landscape Planning Evaluation on Apartment Artificial Ground)

  • Landscaping on artificial ground is currently served as a means to imposing a greenery benefit on high-density and high-rise apartment sites. It functions as a sub-hierarchy in apartment planning such as ornamental element from the past. Major parking space tends to be allocated on the basement area in response to the required parking regulation. Therefore, competitive relatioinship between the parking and greenery space I limited outdoor of apartments leads to the development planning strategy and technology of artificial ground. This study aims at evaluating landscape planning on artificial ground of apartment complex through several approaches such as site survey, plan drawing analysis, and interview with related field experts. 15 survey apartment sites including Bundang Model, Shindaebang-dong, Pyoungchon Hyundai Apartments have been selected for conducting the research. Main results of this study are summarized below : First, scattering allocation of artificial ground between apartment building units is a dominant plan layout type among the survey sites. Even though unifying allocation type has an advantage to maximize underground parking space, it has a difficulty in maintaining proper soil ground base for nurturing plants. Therefore, underground parking space should be planned by unifying allocation type placed separately from apartment units. This plan type can provide a balanced planting between soil and artificial ground on surface level. Second, It is strongly recommended to integrate the whole planting base which involves architectural structure, drainage, and water proofing above the planting design. When considering that process as a professional subject dealing with natural material such as trees and shrubs, those tasks should be directed by landscape architectural divison and landscape architect. And planting area for artificial ground has to be specified in initial phase of architectural design. This step provides an opportunity to make a proper decision on structural load, drainage, and water proof design as an integrated part of the management.

촉매가 첨가된 SnO2 가스센서의 탄화수소 가스에 대한 감응 특성 (Gas Sensing Characteristics of SnO2 Coated with Catalyst for Hydrocarbon Gas)

  • Co and Ni as catalysts in $SnO_2$ sensors to improve the sensitivity for $CH_4$ gas and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gas were coated by a solution reduction method. $SnO_2$ thick films were prepared by a screen-printing method onto $Al_2O_3$ substrates with an electrode. The sensing characteristics were investigated by measuring the electrical resistance of each sensor in a chamber. The structural properties of $SnO_2$ with a rutile structure investigated by XRD showed a (110) dominant $SnO_2$ peak. The particle size of the $SnO_2$:Ni powders with Ni at 6 wt% was about 0.1 ${\mu}m$. The $SnO_2$ particles were found to contain many pores according to a SEM analysis. The sensitivity of $SnO_2$-based sensors was measured for 5 ppm of $CH_4$ gas and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gas at room temperature by comparing the resistance in air to that in the target gases. The results showed that the best sensitivity of $SnO_2$:Ni and $SnO_2$:Co sensors for $CH_4$ gas and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gas at room temperature was observed in $SnO_2$:Ni sensors coated with 6 wt% Ni. The $SnO_2$:Ni gas sensors showed good selectivity to $CH_4$ gas. The response time and recovery time of the $SnO_2$:Ni gas sensors for the $CH_4$ and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gases were 20 seconds and 9 seconds, respectively.

온라인 쇼핑몰에서 서비스회복 방식이 고객용서를 매개로 고객 행동의도에 미치는 영향 - SOR 모델을 기반으로 (A Study on the Effect of Service Recovery through Mediating Customer Forgiveness on Customer Behavior Intention of Online Shopping Mall - Based On the SOR Model)

  • Purpose: Based on the theory of "Stimulus-Organism-Response" (S-O-R), this thesis takes customer forgiveness as a medium variable to explore the impact of merchant service remedy on customer behavior intention in the context of online shopping service failure. This thesis divides the merchant service remedy into two dimensions: spiritual recovery and material recovery, and reveals the influence difference of different merchant service remedy methods on customer behavior intention and the mediating role of customer forgiveness. Methods : 325 questionnaires were distributed and 307 valid questionnaires were collected for data analysis. The relationship between potential variables is proposed by using Structural Equations Modeling. Results : The two dimensions of service recovery have significant positive impact on customer forgiveness, and physical recovery has greater impact on customer forgiveness. In the influence of physical recovery on customer behavior intention, customer forgiveness is a partial mediating effect. However, in the influence of spiritual recovery on customer behavior intention, customer forgiveness is a complete mediating effect. Conclusion : In case of service faults, merchants should take the initiative to provide appropriate physical recovery and provide spiritual recovery sincerely and patiently. Only in this way can they regain good impression in the hearts of consumers and promote them to improve the quality of service recovery, so as to increase their willingness to repurchase Intention and positive word of mouth.
