Strength characteristics of granulated ground blast furnace slag-based geopolymer concrete

  • In recent years, geopolymer cements, have gained significant attention as an environmental-friendly type of cement. In this experimental research, effects of different alkaline activator solutions and variations of associated parameters, including time of addition, concentration, and weight ratio, on the mechanical strengths of Granulated Ground Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS)-based Geopolymer Concrete (GPC) were investigated. Investigation of the effects of simultaneous usage of KOH and NaOH solutions on the tensile and flexural strengths of GGBFS-based GPC, and the influence of NaOH solution addition time delay on the mechanical strengths is among the novel aspects investigated in this research. four series of mix designs and corresponding specimen testing is conducted to study different parameters of the active alkali solutions on GPC mechanical strengths. The results showed that addition of NaOH to the mix after 3 min of mixing KOH and Na2SiO3 with dry components (1/3 of the total mixing duration) resulted in the highest compressive, tensile and flexural strengths amongst other cases. Moreover, increasing the KOH concentration up to 12 M resulted in the highest compressive strength, while weight ratio of 1.5 for Na2SiO3/KOH was the optimum value to achieve highest compressive strengths.

대학생의 강점인식과 진로결정수준의 관계에서 강점활용의 매개효과 검증: 목표지향성 유형에 따른 다집단 분석 (The Mediating Effect of Strengths Use on the Relation of Strengths Knowledge and Career Decision Level among College Students: Multi-Group Analysis based on Goal Orientation Type)

  • 본 연구는 대학생 393명을 대상으로 강점인식이 진로결정수준에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 강점활용의 매개효과를 구조방정식모형을 사용하여 검증하였다. 다음으로는 검증된 매개모형이 Dykman의 목표지향성 유형(인정추구지향성, 성장추구지향성)에 따라 유의한 차이가 존재하는지 확인하기 위해 다집단 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 매개효과를 확인한 결과, 강점 인식이 진로결정수준에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 강점활용의 부분 매개효과가 검증되었다. 다음으로 최종모형에서 목표지향성 유형에 따른 차이가 존재하는지 확인한 결과, 최종모형의 경로 중 강점인식이 강점활용에 미치는 경로에서 목표지향성 유형에 따른 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 강점인식이 강점활용에 미치는 영향이 인정추구집단 보다 성장추구집단에서 통계적으로 더 유의하고 강하게 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의, 진로상담에서의 시사점, 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대하여 논의하였다.

이러닝 준비도가 온라인 교육 학습성과에 미치는 영향: 가족건강성의 매개효과 (Effect of Family Strengths on Learning Outcomes in Online Education: Mediating Effect of E-learning Readiness)

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken to identify the mediating effect of family strengths in the relationship between e-learning readiness and learning management system-based online education learning outcomes. Our results provide basic data for proposing strategies to increase online education learning outcomes of nursing students. Methods: A self-report questionnaire was surveyed by 133 nursing students who took online education using a learning management system at three nursing colleges in Daejeon, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongbuk. The mediating effect of family strengths in the relationship between the e-learning readiness of the subject and online education learning outcomes, were analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. Sobel test was performed to verify effectiveness of the pathway. Results: In the relationship between e-learning readiness and online education learning outcomes of nursing students, family strengths were determined to exert absolute mediating effect. Conclusions: Our results indicate that in order to improve e-learning readiness, the basic curriculum for nursing students should include web-based communication, cooperation, and the use of information technology, including interaction for online education. Improvements in family strengths can be achieved through home study activities, such as frequent conversations with members, monitoring achievements of the students, and sharing family leisure activities.

재가노인 대상 강점관점 사례관리의 효과성 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Strengths-based Case Management for the Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 복합적인 욕구를 가지고 있는 재가노인을 대상으로 강점관점 사례관리 프로그램을 적용하여 실제로 운영해 보고, 이 프로그램이 노인의 욕구에 기반한 장기목적과 단기목표를 달성하는데 효과적인지, 그리고 일상생활 기능(ADL, IADL 수행능력) 및 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 노인대상 강점관점 사례관리의 적용 및 확산 가능성을 모색하려는 것이었다. 이를 위해 6명의 사례관리자가 G시에서 재가보호를 받고 있는 노인 8명을 대상으로 2008년 11월 부터 2009년 4월까지 약 6개월에 걸쳐 강점관점 사례관리서비스를 직접 실시하였다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 개발된 강점관점 사례관리의 효과성을 분석하고, 강점관점 사례관리가 대상 노인의 일상생활 기능 및 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 연구대상 노인별 사전, 사후평가와 함께 비교집단노인(24명)과의 비교분석을 실시하였다. 본 강점관점 사례관리 프로그램의 효과성을 분석한 결과, 본 프로그램은 단기목표를 달성하는데 큰 효과가 있었던 것으로 나타났다. 노인의 ADL이나 IADL 수행능력에는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났으나 본 프로그램이 생활만족도에는 매우 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 입증됨으로써 본 프로그램이 6개월이라는 짧은 기간 내에도 노인의 욕구를 해결하기 위한 단기목표를 달성하고, 생활만족도를 향상시킬 수 있다는 고무적인 결론에 도달하였다. 이러한 결과는 선진국에서 개발되어 적용되고 있는 강점관점 사례관리 프로그램이 우리나라 노인들에게도 효과적이며, 앞으로 노인복지 설천현장에서 적용되고 확산되어야 할 당위성을 보여준다.

  • The primary objective of the research is to develop a mathematical method to incorporate the variability of anthropometric body dimensions and joint strengths of individuals in a biomechanical analysis. A multivariate normal simulation model estimated anthropometric body dimensions and joint strengths of the random link-person, based on the assumptions that the vari- ables of body dimensions and joint strengths are correlated and follow normal distributions. Statistical comparative analysis demonstrated that the random link-person represented a more realistic human-like form in an anthropometric sense than the proportional link-person whose body dimensions were estimated proportionally. Estimated joint strengths for the random link-person, however, did not match the measured joint strengths as closely as the estimated body dimensions. The random link-person will allow biomechanical analysis of manual materials handling tasks to be individualized with respect to the anthropometry and a static strength.

프로젝트 스펙트럼을 적용한 유아 인지 능력 및 학습양식 평가 (Use of the Project Spectrum in Assessment of Children's Cognitive Abilities)

  • This study analyzed the pattern of preschool children's abilities based on Project Spectrum and compared the relationship between intelligence domains with working styles of children. Generally, children showed both strengths and weaknesses in specific Spectrum domains, but some children had only strengths and others had only weaknesses without strengths. It appeared that working style does not relate to children's strong domains, but individual disposition was reflected by characteristics of the task. During both individual and group spectrum activities, children with strengths were more "easily engaged in activity", "confident", and "focused" than those without strong intelligence domains. During individual activities, the "reflective" domain showed children with strengths in intelligence domains are more reflective than those without strengths.

유아 놀이성에 대한 성격강점의 예측요인 분석 (An Analysis of the Prediction Factors of Character Strengths on the Playfulness of Young Children)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine cluster types according to the playfulness factors of young children and to predict the character strengths of young children which have an influence on the types of children's playfulness. Methods: Playfulness and character strength tests were administered to 237 young children. The playfulness groups were classified by cluster analysis and the logistic regression analysis. It was used to find the character strengths of young children that have a effect on the types of children's playfulness. Results: First, the children's playfulness groups were divided into a high playfulness group and a low playfulness group. Second, there was a significant difference in all character strengths according to the children's playfulness cluster, and the high playfulness group was statistically significantly high in all character strengths. Third, the children's character strengths influencing the high playfulness group were vitality and positivity, self-regulation, self-esteem, and sensibility. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, the necessity of supporting these character strengths was discussed in order to improve the playfulness of children in the education field.

한부모가족의 건강성 관련 특성과 변인에 관한 연구 (The Characteristics of Single-Parent Family Strengths and Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the strengths of single-parent families and the related variables based on the family strength approach. The major findings were as follows. First, good communication, family bond, children's adjustment and coping ability were characteristics of single-parent family strengths. Secondly, strengths of single-parent family were related to income and period of becoming a single-parent family. Thirdly, single parents who had a higher level of personal resources such as high self-esteem and economic stability perceived a higher level of family strengths. Fourth, single parents who had a higher level of social support perceived a higher level of family strength. Fifth, there was no interaction effect between personal resource and social resource on single-parent family strengths. Last, both personal and social resources had effects on the strength of single- parent family. Especially personal resource and self-esteem were the most important variables and had a strong influence on single-parent family strengths. The results of this study have important implications for theory, research and practice. Research on the strengths of the Korean single-parent family is new and more extensive investigation is required.

한국형 가족건강성척도 II (KFSS-II) 개발 연구 (Development of Korea Family Strengths Scale(KFSS-II))

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the Korea Family Strengths Scale II (KFSS-II) which was modified and developed by Yoo(2004). For this purpose, the preliminary scale of family strengths which was based on Yoo(2004)'s sample survey that targeted 494 adults who live in Korea consisted of 30 items. Exploratory factor analysis of 29 items extracted 5 factors. It included the 5 dimensional constructs of family resilience, valuing each other & acceptance, qualitative bonding, economic stability and cooperation and caring about community. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the stepwise 5-factor model of 22 items considering family strengths. These results indicated that the simple template of Family Strengths Scale would be a concise and reliable tool for assessing and evaluating a family's strengths.

강점기반 집단상담 프로그램이 보호관찰 청소년의 자아존중감과 진로성숙에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Strengths-Based Group Counseling Program of Self-esteem and Career Maturity of Adolescents on Probation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 강점기반 집단상담 프로그램이 보호관찰 청소년의 자아존중감과 진로성숙에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G광역시 보호관찰 여자청소년을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 각각 15명씩 배치하였다. 본 연구결과 강점기반 집단상담 프로그램은 보호관찰 청소년의 자아존중감 영역가운데 일반적, 사회적 자아존중감 향상에서는 긍정적인 효과가 있었지만, 가정적 자아존중감 향상에는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 이는 보호관찰 청소년들의 가정적 자아존중감 향상을 위해서는 가정 환경적 개입을 통해 부모와의 긍정적인 관계 회복, 가족기능의 회복을 도와야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 강점기반 집단상담 프로그램이 보호관찰 청소년의 진로성숙 영역 가운데 계획성, 자기이해, 직업지식, 진로준비 영역에서는 긍정적인 효과를 보였지만, 독립성 영역에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 보호관찰 청소년들이 스스로 자신의 진로에 대해서 관심을 갖고 준비하는 독립성을 향상시키기 위해서는 가정과 사회가 더욱더 관심을 갖고 진로지도에 대해 구체적인 지원을 해야 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 강점기반 집단상담 프로그램이 보호관찰 청소년의 자아존중감과 진로성숙 향상에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 보호관찰 청소년들이 자신과 타인을 존중할 줄 알며, 자신의 진로에 대해 구체적으로 계획을 세우고, 책임감 있게 행동할 수 있는 성숙한 인간으로 성장하도록 돕기 위해서는 더욱더 강점기반 집단상담 프로그램에 대한 연구가 필요하며, 대학생 멘토들을 활용해서 보호관찰 청소년들을 도울 수 있는 다양한 방안들을 모색해야 할 것이다.
