Generally speaking, durability, load carrying capacity and the life of structure becomes to be shortened in all structures as time passed. Also, we have to repair and reinforce because of tile decrease of the traffic volume and overloaded vehicles in the bridge. External prestressing method is most popular and effective strengthening method which can be used for the prestressed concrete-girders. When strengthening with external prestressing method, there are many ways to install anchorage system. But, These methods have many faults. For example, the achorage force is so small or an anchorage system installation damages an existing structure. So, this paper suggested a new anchorage system to strengthen without any damage to the structure and then confirm the increase of durability and the properties of behavior with experimentation.

Authentication protocol as a part of security system has been growth rapidly since it was known that sending clear text password in the network is unsecured. Many protocols could be noted proposed to strengthen the authentication process. In 1985 an attempt to safeguard network services within Athena project resulting on the born of Kerberos 〔1〕〔8〕, one of the protocol that has a lot of attention from the research community. Several years later researchers were discovered some weaknesses carried by this protocol 〔2〕〔21〕. In 1992. EKE was introduced by Bellovin and Merrit. Since that time, many protocols introduced could be considered as its variant 〔5〕〔9〕〔13〕〔14〕. Some other protocols such as OKE〔5〕 and SRP〔18〕 although claimed different from EKE, they have the same basic mechanism in holding authentication process. Here, we explain the mechanism of those protocols, their strength and their weaknesses and shortcomings. Due to the limitations of the number of paper pages, only two types of authentication protocol can be explained here i.e EKE and SRP.

This paper concerns an effective text-dependent speaker verification method to increase the performance of speaker verification. While various speaker verification methods have already been developed, their effectiveness has not yet been formally proven in terms of achieving acceptable performance levels. This paper proposes a weighted likelihood procedure along with a confidence measure based on subword-based text-dependent speaker verification. Our aim is to remedy the low performance problem in speaker verification by exploring a means to strengthen the verification likelihood via subword-based hypothesis criteria and weighted likelihood method. Experimental results show that the proposed speaker verification method outperforms that of the speaker verification scheme without using the proposed decision by a factor of up to 1.6 times. From these results, the proposed speaker verification method is shown to be very effective and to achieve a reliable performance.

The Korean people are all the beneficiaries of medical insurance or medical aid. It is important and needful to develop the preventive health program such as health examination and health education for disease prevention and health promotion of the beneficiaries. This paper diagnoses the status and problems of the current preventive health services to the beneficiaries and recommends how to develop the preventive health program in the medical insurance. This paper suggests that the government should strengthen the political support and supervision in order to develop the preventive health program in the medical insurance. In addition to the above suggestion, the following are recommended ; 1) to designate the large number of qualified hospitals for health examination. 2) to use the supplementary methods such as the health questionnaires in order to give the accurate health examination services. 3) to combine the health examinations by both laws of medical insurance and industrial health. 4) to arrange the manpower in charge of health education and to establish the health promotion centers. 5) to develop the effective mass media and materials for health education by use of TV, radio, VTR and slide projector.

Objective : To build a basis of a research strategy for development of Korean ginseng as a global competitive medical product in the world market by Korean Oriental medicine group. Methods : Survey of all literature or analysis reports about market patterns related to ginseng or ginseng products in Korea and in other countries. Results : Korean ginseng and it products have rapidly decreased in share of the world market since the 1980s, with Korean ginseng occupying just 3% of the Hong Kong ginseng market in 2005. While Korean ginseng has been satisfied with consumption within the large Korean market itself, it now has only 1% of world market share. Conclusion : A systematic strategy is needed to strengthen global competitiveness of Korean ginseng based upon development of novel customer-tailored ginseng products. In addition, experience and science-based research in the Oriental medicine field should be involved in the process.

Legal regimes of major countries actively involved in wetland programs including USA, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, and Denmark, show that these leading nations have developed their own legal regimes and policies for the conservation and restoration of wetlands since early 1990s. The main feature of their position is to preserve, create and restore wetlands, including tidal flats. However, this approach, so called 'mitigation' policy, is thus far, not a fully established policy but an evolving one. For Korea, there are only a few laws and policies which hint at the importance of creating coastal wetlands as a conservation measure, however, most of those systems only exist as vague provisions which lack any tangible and compulsory implementing procedures and technical guidelines. It seems that it is necessary to strengthen the legal measures for conserving coastal wetlands in Korea including specifying economic assessment methods and funding sources for the creation, restoration and rehabilitation of tidal flats to firmly establish a national wetland mitigation policy.

In this paper we study the access network design problem in Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) networks. Given the location of radio base stations (node-Bs), their traffic demands, and the candidate facility centers for locating radio network controllers (RNCs), the problem is to determine the configuration of access network, including the number and location of facility centers, the number of RNCs in each facility center, and the links between RNCs and node-Bs, with the objective being to design such a network at the minimum cost. We provide a mathematical formulation of the problem with constraints on RNC and node-B capacities, along with a lower bounding method. We develop a heuristic algorithm with two different initial solution methods designed to strengthen the solution quality. The computational efficacy of their procedures is then demonstrated on a number of test problems.

The number of studies on social media has increased rapidly worldwide. There has been, however, little effort to assess the achievements and limitations of social media studies up to present. The purpose of this study is to provide a systematical viewpoint on social media research published by scholarly business-related journals. Our analysis focus on research topic, functionality, targeted media types, methodology, and characteristics. User research receives the most attention, followed by effect research in terms of developmental models of media research agenda. The major methodological trend is online survey. Facebook and twitter are the two most popular mediums studied in literature, and social media is mainly characterized as information sharing as well as relationship building. Two recommendations are suggested in ways to strengthen social media research: more various topics and application areas, and the rigor and diversity of research methods.

Obejectives : Slow-motion strengthening trainings build up muscles better than any other type of training, these exercises focus on balancing and strengthening the muscles in the anatomical center of the body - the core - which includes the back, hip and abdominal muscles. Methods : We had a concept of 'core', and compared core muscles with 12 meridian tendino-musculature based on Thomas Myers' myofascial meridian. Results : It has been suggested that the core muscles correspond to meridians of foot- three Yin and foot- three Yang. The study of core muscles strengthening exercise and movement therapy is requred.

Objectives: This paper reviews the integrated health promotion program in health center to analyse the problems and to provide the future directions aiming to health promotion block grants. Methods: The guidebook for the integrated health promotion program published by the Minister of Health and Welfare were reviewed in this study. And also the empirical results and theoretical considerations were used in making future directions. Results and Conclusion: This paper suggested four improvement directions as follows; first, the legal review committee is needed to approve when the central government change the way of health promotion program in health center. Second, the required programs should be replaced by an integrated outcom evaluation indicators. Third, the central government should strengthen the capacity of local government. And finally, visiting training should be conducted each health center.
