CFD 모형을 이용한 3차원 비대칭 도로 협곡에서의 흐름 및 오염물질 분산 연구 (An Investigation of Flow and Pollutant Dispersion in Three-Dimensional Asymmetric Street Canyons Using a CFD Model)

  • A three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model with the renormalization group (RNG) $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model is used to examine the effects of difference in building height on flow and pollutant dispersion in asymmetric street canyons. Three numerical experiments with different street canyons formed by two isolated buildings are performed. In the experiment with equal building height, a portal vortex is formed in the street canyon and a typical recirculation zone is formed behind the downwind building. In the experiment with the downwind building being higher than the upwind building, the ambient flow comes into the street canyon at the front of the downwind building and incoming flow diverges strongly in the street canyon. Hence, pollutants released therein are strongly dispersed through the lateral sides of the street canyon. In the experiment with the upwind building being higher than the downwind building, a large recirculation zone is formed behind the upwind building, which is disturbed by the downwind building. Pollutants are weakly dispersed from the street canyon and the residue concentration ratio is largest among the three experiments. This study shows that the difference in upwind and downwind building height significantly influences flow and pollutant dispersion in and around the street canyon.

가로경관의 이미지 평가에 관한 연구 - 번화한 가로를 만드는 심리적, 물리적 인자의 분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the image evaluation of Street Landscape -Focused on an Analysis of Psychological and Physical Factors which Creates a Busy Street)

  • 가로경관의 이미지는 가로공간 안에서 시각으로 느끼는 심리적인 인자와 물리적으로는 가로의 구조에 의해서 인지되는 인자의 복합적인 체험에 의한 것이다. 그러므로 가로경관의 이미지를 알아보기 위하여 가로를 구성하는 요소들 중에서 어떤 요소가 가로의 이미지를 만드는데 많은 영향을 주는지를 알아보기 위하여 가로공간을 심리적인 측면과 물리적인 측면에서 분석하고 평가하는 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 우선, 가로공간을 지역의 특성(상업지역, 업무지역, 복합지역)으로 나누어 분석하기 위해서 지역의 특성이 명확한 가로를 평가대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 가로에서 느끼는 심리적 인자의 정보를 파악하기 위해서 설문방법을 사용하여 평가실험을 실시하였다 실험의 분석 결과, 가로경관의 이미지는 지역의 특성에 따라서 비슷한 성향을 갖고 있으며 가로의 이미지는 쾌적함과 번화함을 만드는 인자에 의해서 많은 영향을 받는다는 것을 인자분석의 결과로 알게 되었다. 인자분석에 의해서 구분된 가로의 이미지 중에서 번화함이 있는 가로와 번화함이 없는 가로의 집단은 가로의 물리적 구성요소 면에서 각각 어떤 차이가 있어서 상반된 이미지를 갖는지를 알아보기 위해 가로의 구성 요소를 중심으로 판별분석을 실시하여 두 집단 간의 차이를 알아보았다. 분석 결과 번화함이 있는 가로와 번화함이 없는 가로의 이미지는 물리적 구성요소 중에서 가로 폭, 보도 폭과 차도 폭의 비율, 건물의 높이와 가로 폭의 비율, 그리고 식재율 등의 차이가 가로의 이미지가 상반되게 느끼게 하는데 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이 연구는 어떤 종류의 가로라도 가로의 이미지를 보다 명확하게 분석하고 평가할 수 있게 하였으며, 번화한 이미지를 갖는 가로를 만들기 위한 물리적 인 요소의 구성방법도 알 수 있게 하였다. 이렇게 함으로써 지역의 활성화하기 위하여 가로의 이미지를 분석하고 번화함이 있는 가로를 조성하기 위한 자료를 만드는 방법으로 많이 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

인공 도로협곡 관측 자료를 활용한 전산유체역학모델 검증 (Verification of Computational Fluid Dynamics Model Using Observation Data in Artificial Street Canyon)

  • In this study, performance of a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model is assessed from analysis on air flow pattern which is observed in the artificial street canyon. Field observations focusing on flows were conducted at an artificial street canyon in Magok region. For the observation of three-dimensional airflow structures, twelve three-dimensional wind anemometers (hereafter, CSAT3) were installed inside the street canyon. The street canyon was composed of two rectangular buildings with 35-m length, 4-m width, and 7-m height. The street width (distance between the buildings) is 7 m, making the street aspect ratio (defined by the ratio of building height to street width) of 1. For the observation of above-building wind, a CSAT3 was installed above the northwest-side building. Southwesterly, westerly and northwesterly were dominant in the street canyon during the observations. Because wind direction is parallel to the street canyon in the southwesterly case, westerly and northwesterly were selected as inflow directions in numerical simulations using a computational fluid dynamics model developed through the collaborative research project between National Institute of Meteorological Sciences and Seoul National University (CFD_NIMR_SNU). The observations showed that a well-structured vortex flow (skimming flow) and an evidence of a small eddy at the corner of the downwind building and ground appeared. The CFD_NIMR_SNU reproduced both the observed flow patterns reasonably well, although wind speeds inside the street canyon were underestimated.

대중스타와 청소년패션 - 05~09년도 국내 TV매체 속 대중가수를 중심으로 - (Popular Celebrity and Adolescent Fashion - With a Focus on Popular Singers Appearing on Domestic TV in 2005 to 2009 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish objective data for marketing of industries and product development design by researching popular singer fashion of Korea, investigating the preference for popular singer design in street fashion among adolescents on the basis of the research, and drawing an conclusion. To analyze street fashion, total 190 young men and women in their 20s, including teenagers, were surveyed mainly in downtowns around Daehakro, Gangnam and Hongik University. First, in relation to the upper garment, men were found to wear T-shirts and hood T-shirts the most, while women were found to wear T-shirts and one-piece dress the most. Second, in relation to the lower garment, the ratio of those who wore skinny clothes was high both among men and women. Third, in relation to the outer apparel, the ratio of men who wore casual jacket and hood zip-up was high, while the ratio of women who wore tailored jacket and leather jacket was high. Fourth, in relation to shoes, the ratio of men who wore sports shoes was high, while the ratio of women who wore heeled-shoe was high. Fifth, it was found that plane pattern was preferred the most. As it was stated above, the findings of this study on the effect of entertainers' fashion on adolescents through street fashion indicated that the number of adolescents who imitate the fashion of entertainers increased.

가로공간의 활성화 인자에 관한 연구 - 한국과 일본의 가로구성인자분석을 중심으로 - (A study on the activating factors of street spaces - Focused on the analysis of the component factors of streets in Korea and Japan -)

  • 본 연구는 이미 발표된 '가로공간의 번화함을 만드는 요소에 관한 연구'와 '가로경관의 이미지 평가에 관한 연구'에서 도출된 결과를 토대로 지속되는 연구로서 가로공간을 구성하는 구조적인자 이외에 어떤 인자가 가로공간의 이미지를 활기차게 조성하는 인자로 영향력 이 있는지를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 우선, 선행연구 2편에서 연구대상으로 사용되어진 가로 중에서 가로공간의 구조비율($D/H=0.5{\sim}2$)에 의해 흥미로운 이미지를 갖는 가로가 된다는 이론에 합당한 구조를 가진 가로를 중점적인 연구 대상으로 하였다. 그 다음으로 가로구조비율에 의해 쾌적함이나 번화함의 이미지가 있다고 인지되어진 가로를 연구대상으로 하였다. 가로가 쾌적함이나 번화함이 있다고 느끼는 것은 그 가로가 활성화되었다는 의미로 한정하고 가로활성화인자를 가로구성요소에서 추출하고자 하였다. 그리고 가로가 활성화되어서 쾌적한 이미지 또는 번화한 이미지를 느낄 수 있는 가로를 본 연구에서는 '활기찬 가로'라고 명명하였다. 또, 조사지 역도 선행연구와 동등하게 국가별 지역특성별로 구분하여 20개의 가로를 선정하였고 그 중에서 $D/H=0.5{\sim}2$를 벗어난 가로가 활기찬 가로로 느껴질 경우에는 어떤 인자에 의한 영향인지도 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, D/H=0.5-2인 업무지역가로인 경우 가로공간 활성화인자로는 수경시설, 보도, 연도건물인자 순으로 많은 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 상업지역의 가로의 활성화인자로는 보도, 연도건물, 수경시설 및 조명시설인자순인 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 $D/H=0.5{\sim}2$를 벗어난 가로구조를 가진 한국의 상업지역가로 5개와 일본의 업무지역가로 1개는 흥미로운 이미지를 갖는 구조를 벗어나면서도 활기찬 가로의 이미지를 갖게 되는 것은 가로공간의 구조적요소 이외에 가로공간 활성화인자에 의해 많은 영향을 받고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 즉, 이런 구조를 가진 한국의 상업지역의 가로인 경우 연도건물, 보도, 수경시설 등의 인자 순으로, 일본의 업무지역의 가로인 경우 수경시설, 연도건물, 보도인자 순으로 가로활성화에 영향을 주고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

밀양시 가로수 현황과 개선방안 (The Present Conditions and Remedial Measures of Street Trees in Miryang City)

  • The aim of this research is to survey the census of street trees and to provide remedial measures for street trees management to Miryang City. To do this, survey was carried out 16 region units in Miryang City. Through the survey, the current status of street trees’ map was made using automated map. From the results, it is turned out that 17,079 trees have been planted in Miryang City. The major species of street trees are Prunus serrulata var. spontanea(41.6%), Ginkgo biloba(26.1%), Pinus thunbergiana(13.3%) and the others are 12 species(19.0%). By the region units, Samrangjin-Eub is the most that 2,308 street trees are planted, and the next is Chodong-Myon(2,206 trees). The littlest street trees planted region is Cheongdo-Myon. In the results of comparison the component of street trees with other municipal cities, e.g. Seoul, Incheon, Kwangyang etc., only a few street trees have been planted so many in Miryang City. So, Miryang City indicated high proportionate street trees planting ratio. The suggested remedial measures are consisted with identifying the each street, increasing the green area by accepting the suitable street tree planting model, improving the physiological growth condition and systematic management with GIS.

CFD 모델을 이용한 체승 도시협곡의 흐름과 반응성 대기오염물질 확산 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Flow and Reactive Pollutants' Dispersion in Step-up Street Canyons Using a CFD Model)

  • In this study, street canyons with a higher downwind building (so called, step-up street canyons) are considered for understanding characteristics of flow and reactive pollutants' dispersion as a basic step to understand the characteristics in wider urban areas. This study used a CFD_NIMR_SNU coupled to a chemistry module just including simple $NO_X-O_3$ photochemical reactions. First, flow characteristics are analyzed in step-up street canyons with four aspect ratios (0.33, 0.47, 0.6, 0.73) defined as ratios of upwind building heights to downwind building height. The CFD_NIMR_SNU reproduced very well the main features (that is, vortices in the street canyons) which appeared in the wind-tunnel experiment. Wind speed within the street canyons became weak as the aspect ratio increased, because volume of flow incoming over the upwind building decreased. For each step-up street canyon, chemistry transport model was integrated up to 3600 s with the time step of 0.5 s. The distribution patterns of $NO_X$ and $O_3$ were largely dependent on the mean flow patterns, however, $NO_X$ and $O_3$ concentrations were partly affected by photochemical reactions. $O_3$ concentration near the upwind lower region of the street canyons was much lower than background concentration, because there was much reduction in $O_3$ concentration due to NO titration there. Total amount of $NO_X$ in the street canyons increased with the aspect ratio, resulting from the decrease of mean wind intensity.

남북 건축공사비 연구: 평양 려명거리 사업 건설조립액을 중심으로 (Study of Construction Costs in South and North Korea: Focusing on Construction Cost in Ryomyong Street Project, Pyongyang)

  • 려명거리 사업은 건설비용이 알려진 유일한 건축사업이지만 북한원으로 표기되어 그 규모를 짐작할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 려명거리의 건설조립액을 기준으로, 북한 아파트 신축공사의 m2당 공사 원가를 산출하고, 이를 서울주택도시공사가 공개한 원가와 비교하여 남한과 북한의 건축공사비 비율을 산출했다. 그 결과는 160대 1이었고 이는 남북 공식 환율이 없는 상황에서 북한원으로 표기된 공사 규모 추정에 이용될 수 있으며, 향후 남북 공동으로 건축사업을 계획할 때, 상대의 화폐단위로 산출된 건축공사 원가를 이해하는 데 일조할 것으로 기대한다.

도시 협곡에서 건물 지붕 냉각이 스칼라 물질 확산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Building-roof Cooling on Scalar Dispersion in Urban Street Canyons)

  • In this study, the effects of building-roof cooling on scalar dispersion in three-dimensional street canyons are investigated using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. For this, surface temperature of building roof is systematically changed and non-reactive pollutants are released from street bottom in urban street canyons with the aspect ratio of 1. The characteristics of flow, air temperature, and non-reactive pollutant dispersion in the control experiment are analyzed first. Then, the effects of building-roof cooling are investigated by comparing the results with those in the control experiment. In the control experiment, a portal vortex which is a secondary flow induced by ambient air flow is formed in each street canyon. Averaged air temperature is higher inside the street canyon than in both sides of the street canyon, because warmer air is coming into the street canyon from the roof level. However, air temperature near the street bottom is lower inside the street canyon due to the inflow of cooler air from both sides of the street canyon. As building-roof temperature decreases, wind speed at the roof level increases and portal vortex becomes intensified (that is, downdraft, reverse flow, and updraft becomes stronger). Building-roof cooling contributes to the reduction of average concentration of the non-reactive pollutants and average air temperature in the street canyon. The results imply that building-roof cooling has positive effects on improvement of thermal environment and air quality in urban areas.

An Analysis on the Color Trend of Street Fashion in Dalian, China(paper no.1) - Focused on 2010 Summer -

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the traditional color sentiment on the contemporary clothing color by studying the pictures of street fashion of Dalian in China, in view of the clothing color of women in their 20-30 years of age having highest purchasing power, along with traditional Chinese color. The clothing color is various in frequency depending on the items in street fashion. Due to the seasonal impact of summer, the most frequent item was one-piece dress with the Multi of various color patterns, followed by White, Black, PB, R and B category. In the top color, the White was most prevalent color due to the seasonal factor, followed by Black, Grey, Multi, R, Y, RP category. Achromatic color is more dominant with the ratio of 7:3, comparing with its counterpart, which consists of R and Y category of V, B, P, VP tone. In the bottom color, Dp tone of PB shows most high frequency, followed by Black. This results illustrate that Chinese women prefer blue jeans and to be looked as slimmer by using of the dark colors. In the accessories, colors of bags and shoes show different results. The bag colors show the high frequency of Dk tone, YR category, and the chromatic colors are little bit dominant than achromatic ones with the ratio of 5.3:4.7. On the contrary, the shoes colors show the highest frequency in Black, the achromatic colors are more dominant than chromatic ones with the ratio of 6.6:3.4. These results somewhat diverge from the international color trend. Color trend in Dalian street fashion in which the high frequency of V tone is observed through all the colors of the items followed by P, VP, Lgr tone in sequence. In the light of Chinese traditional color preference, this result denotes that the traditional color preferences of red, yellow are still affecting the contemporary color choices of clothing in Chinese women. The high incidence of PB category in the bottom and one-piece dress does not seem to have its origin form traditional Chinese color sentiment.
