Finding the Causal Relationship between Self-Leadership Strategies, Academic Performance and Class Attendance Attitudes : Comparative Research between Korean and Indian Students

  • A number of organizations have had big interests in studies concerning leadership and in academic areas, in not only management but also psychology. Until now, leadership has been accentuated by managers or team leaders especially. Recently, however, the concept of self-leadership directing one's own activities through self-control or self-management is being focused on in practices and in academia. This study is to investigate the influence between self-leadership strategies and learning performance in IT classes mediated by attitude of attendance focused on the social science students in two universities (Korea (121 samples) and India (106 samples)). And this research tried to compare difference between two university students. Research results can give us direction of task-taking attitudes in firms or learning attitudes in teaching organizations and implications to human resource managers who are in charge of improving learning performance or productivity.

  • Korean local governments have been planning for u-City construction with great efforts. Such efforts are needed in order to reflect the urban characteristics of each city, to promote local economic growth, and to have a sustainable operation model. Thus it is critical at an earlier stage to set a strategic direction based on urban environment analysis, which will lead to a feasible implementation of u-City. This paper derives issues and suggests improvement methods based on a case study on the USPs (u-City Strategy Planning's) of ten local governments. It is expected that the improvement methods will greatly reduce risks involved in u-City construction and contribute to better provided local-specific u-services.

  • Standardization strategy is considered as an important approach for the organization growth and competitiveness. Major contents of standardization are the selection of standardization area and management of standardization timing under limited resources. The developments of standardization road map and its driving strategy in construction area are important policy subjects in view of investment scale and national economy. In this paper, we aim to survey on the standardization theory and its application in construction field and suggest research direction for driving strategy of standardization road map development.

  • ISP(Information Strategy Planning) is the methodology to light the objective and the business system architecture, and to recognize the strategic situation for the establishment of effective information system in an organization. Customer Needs Research is one of the Research Methodology that analyze the customer needs effectively and use to establish the policy and the direction of corporation. Both have the important role to establish the strategy for the corporation. The former can propose the corporate information strategy in MIS, the latter can be used to research the customer needs about a corporation, to establish the business management strategy and to decide the way corporate must head. But each has studied independently and there is no integrated methodology of ISP and Customer Needs Research. Actually, a lot of corporations still establish ISP to increase the business efficiency rather than to satisfy the customer needs. Customer satisfaction is the final objective of all business so that corporations have to find the customer needs through Customer Needs Research and make ISP oriented to customer satisfaction through the result of Customer Needs Research.

  • The purpose of this research is to introduce the best practice of the Japanese national dementia strategy and explore implications to the Korean national dementia strategy. Interview was conducted among professions those who is in charge of Kumamoto dementia care practice in Kumamoto province, upon review of related literature and public documents. The Kumamoto model is implemented by the department of neuropsychiatry in public university hospitals, which can offer dementia-specialized medical services. Medical centers for dementia in public university hospitals play a leading role for managing practice and training local dementia centers specialist, coordinating medical services among medical institutions and community welfare facilities. In reference to the Kumamoto model, the Korean national dementia strategy can find implications in the direction of current system, specifically its approaches toward policy governance.

  • The purpose of this research is to discuss the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1997, Geely Automotive Group has grown from a small workshop to one of China's leading automakers after nearly three decades of development.This paper first reviews the development of Geely Automobile, from the initial small-scale production to the current global layout and diversified product line. Secondly, it analyzes the challenges and opportunities faced by Geely Automobile, including the intensification of market competition and the changing demand for technological innovation.And put forward the future development strategy of Geely Automobile, including improving the quality of products, expanding the international market and promoting the development of new energy vehicles. By analyzing the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd., we can better understand the company's position and future development direction in China's automobile industry.

  • 광복 이후 한반도가 남북으로 분단되면서 대한민국은 필연적으로 유사 해양국가가 되었다. 더불어 대한민국은 북한뿐만 아니라 중국과 러시아와 같은 강대국들에 둘러싸여 있는 지정학적 위치에 놓여 있다. 한편, 근래 들어 중국이 해군 항공 전력을 상당히 증강시키는 방향에 있기 때문에 우리 해군 또한 이에 대응할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 이러한 이유로 인해 우리는 미국과의 끈끈한 동맹을 유지하고 있으나, 그 외의 국가들과는 불확실한 관계에 놓여있는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 현재 대한민국과 유사한 지정학적 위치에 있던 과거의 서독이 설정한 전력 확충의 방향성, 냉전기 당시 NATO 조직 내에서 담당하던 '지역해군'으로서의 역할, 그리고 주변국들과의 안보협력 구상방식은 대한민국에게 있어 의미 있는 참고사례가 될 수 있을 것이다.

해양공간 인식과 확장의 관점에서 본 한국 해양전략의 발전 방향 (Future Direction of ROK Navy's Maritime Strategy based on the Recognition and Expansion of Maritime Sphere)

  • So far, the main threat to South Korea was North Korea. That is why South Korea established a strategy based on the threat of North Korea and most of the budget on defense was used to deter North Korea. Even though the neighboring countries(China, Japan, and Russia) are growing as a real threat with abilities and intentions based on their powerful naval forces, South Korea has not yet been able to establish a strategy that regards neighboring countries as a threat. But the decades-old structural mechanism of the Korean security environment is undergoing a radical change on April 27, 2018, through the South-North summit and the Panmunjom Declaration. Under the changing security environment, South Korea was placed in a complicated dilemma that had to deal with threats of two axes(China), three axes(China, Japan), and four axes(Japan, Russia). If the one axis threat(North Korea) is dominated by land threats, the second, third and fourth axis threats are threats from the sea. This paper analyzed the maritime strategy of Korea within the framework of maritime-geopolitics, in other words recognition and expansion of the sphere of maritime. I have designed that the maritime defense space that we can deny from threats is divided into three lines of defense: 1 line (radius 3,000km), 2 lines (2,000km), and 3 lines (1,000km). The three defense zones of the three lines were defined as an active defense(1 line), defensive offense(2 line), active offense(3 line). The three defense zones of the three lines were defined as the sphere of core maritime, As a power to deny the sphere of core maritime, it was analyzed as a maneuvering unit, a nuclear-powered submarine, the establishment of missile strategy, and the fortification of islands station. The marine strategy of South Korea with these concepts and means was defined as 'Offensive Maritime Denial Strategy'.
