기술사업화 생태계의 동태성에 대한 전략적 진단 (Strategic Diagnosis on the Dynamics of the Regional Technology Commercialization Ecosystem)

  • This study aims to develop strategic diagnosis framework of performance by identifying and analysing the dynamics of the technology commercialization ecosystem in innovative region. To achieve the purpose of this study, the systems thinking approach is used. The systems thinking approach connects feedback structure and behavior more explicitly to diagnosis vicious feedback loop in the regional technology commercialization ecosystem. In terms of an ecological point of view, it will be possible to explore dominant feedback structure and find leverages to overcome the limitations of regional technology commercialization performance. The diagnosis of reenforcing and balancing feedback structure is based on the statistical analysis of the survey data which has been collected in a cluster random sampling method, targeting on the 200 firm located in the Pangyo and Daeduk region. The results from this research showed that the regional technology commercialization ecosystem was immature and faced limit to the growth. An important finding of this study was that regional technology commercialization ecosystem need to activation of startups and reinforcement of virtuous feedback structures of technology commercialization market systems.

Strategic Planning in SMEs: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • Hotels drive the growth and development of tourism. Despite their important role, many hotels are small and medium-sized firms (SME) that are struggling to survive against fierce competition. Experts agree that strategic planning is vital for SME survival, but it is not wholly applicable for SME managers. Meanwhile, Mintzberg's concept of crafting strategy offers a more productive insight into SME strategic planning, but its abstract nature has historically discouraged empirical research on its practical benefits. This study will be the first to empirically explore the operationalization of Mintzberg's crafting strategy characteristics, and analyze its influence on organizational learning using structural equation model. Using a sample of 50 hotels in Bali, Indonesia, this study reveals that managing pattern and stability, detecting discontinuity, and knowing the business have a positive but weak effect, whereas reconciling change and continuity proves to have a positive and significantly strong effect on organizational learning. This study has bridged the gap between the abstract concepts of crafting strategy, which is a potentially better approach for SMEs, with daily operational practices. This study also proves that Mintzberg's approach can be used to predict organizational learning. This relationship is crucial since previous studies concluded that organizational learning improves company performance.

지속 가능한 사회적 기업을 위한 전략적 방향 제시: 홀론 다이내믹스의 적용 (Making Strategic Choice for Sustainable Social Enterprise: The Application of Holon Dynamics Approach)

  • This paper aims to propose the strategy making in social enterprise for ensuring organizational sustainability and governance of social enterprise from systems thinking's perspective. Based on previous reviews on organizational sustainability and theories of governance currently advocated in the social enterprise literature, we use 'Holon Dynamics' approach, which is a synthesis of System Dynamics and Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), offers the problem-solving method for dealing with social contexts and "ill-defined" situations. To do so, a researcher carried out the interpretive action research using 'Holon Dynamics' approach from September, 2009 to August, 2010. The outcomes of research are summarized as follows. Firstly, systems methodologies are useful to offer a strategic choice that makes to achieve an organizational sustainability in the case of Korean social enterprise; 'the Rediscovery of Korea'. Secondly, systems thinking offers an alternative concept of system, which is known as an 'appreciative system' that is evolved from the mental constructs amongst participants in given situations. Lastly, the paper delineates the usefulness of systems thinking and the process of inquiry, which deal with social contexts (including cultural and political factors), are contributed to making the necessary conditions for organizational legitimacy and the appropriate strategic choice for social enterprise within combined functioning of the two roles of social and commercial activities from systemic perspectives.

Molecular Mechanism of Reactive Oxygen Species-dependent ASK1 Activation in Innate Immunity

  • Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1), a mitogen- activated protein kinase kinase kinase, plays pivotal roles in stress responses. In addition, ASK1 has emerged as a key regulator of immune responses elicited by pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and endogenous danger signals. Recent studies have demonstrated that reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent activation of ASK1 is required for LPS-stimulated cytokine production as well as extracellular ATP-induced apoptosis in immune cells. The mechanism of ROS-dependent regulation of ASK1 activity by thioredoxin and TRAFs has been well characterized. In this review, we focus on the molecular details of the activation of ASK1 and its involvement in innate immunity.

And they think that an effective marketing policy must be based on the principles of quality attributes and customer orientation.   • The Purpose of this study is working out of the scientific-theoretical and practical recommendations directed on perfection of strategic planning of development of the enterprises of mining and gold mining branch. The methodological basis of research is based on the economic theory developed by a domestic and foreign science. At processing, generalisation and a writing of materials of the master's thesis following methods were applied: - supervision, - comparison, - the analysis and synthesis, - methods of an induction and deduction, - statistical groupings, - average and relative sizes, - the system approach. Finally, the theoretical and practical importance of this research consists that results of research will allow generating a basis of statement of effective system of strategic planning of a long-term sustainable development of the gold mining enterprises reducing risk of acceptance of inefficient strategic decisions.   • A strategic decision making needs a sound process modeling to find out the right path of organizational changes; however, dynamic feedback processes involved in a real world business, make it difficult to predict the outcomes of strategic decisions. In this paper, we present a conceptual framework to facilitate strategic decision making process for organizational changes. The framework, which employs the concepts of analytic network process (ANP) and system dynamics (SD), can be used to prioritize various projects under consideration and to make a long-term strategic plan in a constructive manner.

생산기술 첨단화에 따른 관리회계정보시스템 전략적 연계가 생산성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of MAIS Strategic Alignment on Production Performance: The Consideration of AMT)

  • Purpose This study empirically examined the causal relationships among the level of advanced manufacturing technology(AMT), facilitation of alignment, the degrees of strategic alignment of management accounting information systems(MAIS), and the improvement of production performance. Design/methodology/approach Data for this study were drawn from a survey of the current status of AMT used in Korean manufacturing firms. At the beginning, 131 organizations responded to the request for information. However, during the survey, 5 firms withdrew from the survey, and as a result, 126 manufacturing firms were included in the research. In order to collect data, this study administered questionnaires with the participating firms. The survey was conducted during a 4-month period between November 2015 and March 2016. Findings The results showed that the level of AMT has a significant impact on alignment facilitation. A significant causal relationship between alignment facilitation and MAIS strategic alignment was also found. It was shown that under high degrees of MAIS strategic alignment, MAIS must provide broad-scope and integrated types of information. The causal relationships between MAIS strategic alignment and organizational performance were significant and positive. Thus, it is concluded that under high levels of AMT, a high degree of MAIS strategic alignment positively contributes to the improvement of a firm's production performance.

The Effects of Strategic Planning, Human Resource and Asset Management on Economic Productivity: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • This study aims to examine the effect of strategic planning, human resource management, and asset management on increasing the productivity of the rural economy. This research is a quantitative approach. The research sample was carried out by simple random sampling and data collection using a questionnaire so that 129 respondents were determined. The research test was conducted using multiple linear regression with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square model. The results obtained were that strategic planning, human resource management, and asset management had a significant positive effect on increasing the productivity of the rural economy. This shows that strategic planning is the most important thing in industry, companies, or organizations as a guideline to achieve optimal performance. In addition, human resource management and asset management are positive supports for increasing the economic productivity of rural communities to achieve welfare goals. This research proves that strategic planning must be carried out by considering the existing potential, both sources. natural resources, human resources, and economic resources Meanwhile, human resource management and asset management are mandatory to support the sustainability of an organization or company so that the benefits of the study as study material in strategic decision making, both in business and public policy.
