  • Lipids play important roles in biological systems; they store energy, play a structural role in the cell membrane, and are involved in cell growth, signal transduction, and apoptosis. Phospholipids (PLs) in particular have received attention in the medical and lipidomics research fields because of their involvement in human diseases such as diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis, and many cancers associated with lipid metabolic disorders. Here I review experimental strategies for PL analysis based on nanoflow liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (nLC-ESI-MSn). In particular, discussed are lipid extraction methods, nanoflow LC separation of PLs, effect of ionization modifiers on the ESI of PLs, influence of chain lengths and unsaturation degree of acyl chains of PLs on MS intensity, structural determination of the molecular structure of PLs and their oxidized products, and quantitative profiling of PLs from biological samples such as tissue, urine, and plasma in relation to cancer and coronary artery disease.

  • In recent times, NFC technology adaptations for smartphones have been increasing. This study proposes the adaptation of agri-food business models based on NFC technology and presents the basic technological characteristics of NFC. An NFC tag can store more information than prior tagging technology methods, such as QR codes, and provides a better user experience. Based on the unique features of NFC, this study suggests an NFC business model application for the agri-food business.

  • This study is on safety improvement measures through analysis of accident cases during plant storage tank construction. Storage tank is a general term for artificial ground facility constructed to store oil, water, gas, and other chemicals. Some companies have clustered storage tanks (tank farm). The construction methods vary according to the component and types of fluids. Because most of the construction procedures include lifting heavy weight materials using heavy construction equipment and are carried out at high places, storage tank construction contains more risk factors than normal aerial construction. Recently, major accidents such as storage tank collapse have occurred often, and cost many lives due to the characteristics of the structure. In this study we would like to analyze the cause of these accidents and propose measures to improve safety.

  • The existing inventory managements bear a relation to forecasting or assumptions. So these methods become more complicated and more expensive systems as time goes. This paper developed a practical inventory system which is called DCC(demand control chart). DCC does not 'forecast' but 'control' the trend of demand without assumptions. According to the trend of sales, DCC adjusts an order quantity considering the capacity of shelf in a store. Specially, DCC is a useful method under FRID system. Besides, this paper introduces EPFR(Every Period Full Replenishment) policy for reducing stocks.

  • Armed aircraft of a basic trainer class installs external stores under wing box by using pylon and performs an operation such as weapon delivery and jettison, and should be designed to withstand all kinds of loads applied to external stores. The static strength test of pylons and wing box was performed to assess the static strength of pylon and their support structures for substantiation. Based on the test, the structures were verified to fully satisfy a given design requirement. In this paper, methods of test load generation of wing box and pylon, evaluation of test result data and design result of test set-up were presented. Comparing the FEM analysis with the same test data can lead to good match and reasonable deviation between both. Finally, based on the test and the analysis, the static strength of test article was substantiated and the reliability and effectiveness of analysis math model were obtained.

  • This study was undertaken to examine the profit efficiency and its determining factors, the investment opportunity, and the challenges of shea butter producers in the northern region of Ghana. The methods employed in this research were the Stochastic Profit Frontier (SPF) model, gain-cost and investment return analyses, as well as Kendall's W statistic using primary data collected from 120 purposively-selected respondents. Results from the analysis indicated that profit efficiency was positively influenced by sex, household size, marital status, educational level, transportation cost, store rent, and price of shea nut with a gain in profit efficiency of 58.5%. The investment analysis demonstrated a net gain per person of $8,077 equivalent to GH₵ 28,270 Ghanaian cedi (GH₵) using 2016 exchange rate (GH₵ 3.5 = $1). Among the challenges identified, the poor quality of shea nuts was the most prioritised challenge with 72.8% agreement among the respondents. Based on these findings, it was recommended that proper training and education, as well as improvement in shea nut quality, should be promoted to improve the profit efficiency of shea butter producers.

  • We present an efficient decoding scheme for Huffman codes in which we use a properties of canonical prefix tree. After Huffman tree is converted to canonical Huffman tree, we represent Huffman tree with minimum information using rules associated with values of nodes in canonical tree. The proposed scheme can reduce memory to store Huffman tree information while maintains the same Processing time. The memory size in order to represent tree information is 2h + 2klogn which is less than those of previous methods. But the number of search is similar to previously proposed techniques.

  • Information about processing method of Kwahaju can get from the 41 kinds classical literature traditional yakju. The contents of those classical literature consist of sixty items about Kwahaju, number of art-less-brewed alcoholics and compounded alcoholics. Interpreted content was classified and analyzed. Selected 40 items, about Kwahaju among previous 60 items, compounded brewages, were distributed into two groups of alcoholics ; Seoul Kwahaju and Kimchun Kwahaju. Both group of alcoholics, grunded on the periodical conversion of processing method through four centuries were set one thing to another and analyzed. The materials used for Kwahaju, compounded alcoholics, were waxy rice mainley, regular rice, yeast(Nuruk), wheat, barley seedings and Soju, Kwahaju, usually, is brewed for worm or hot season and store up the alcoholics for summer. It should be reminded to be durable alcoholics, not soon pureficated out or needing repair.

  • In this paper, an algorithm for the fault diagnosis using simple FCM(Fuzzy Cognitive Map) is proposed FCMs which store uncertain causal knowledges are fuzzy signed graphs with feedback. The algorithm allows searching the origin of fault and the ways of propagating the abnormality throughout the process simply and has following characteristics. First, it can distinguish the cause of soft failure which can degenerate the process as well as hard failure. Second, it is proper for the processes which have difficulties to establish the exact quantative model. Finally, it has short amputation time in comparison with the fault tree or the other AI methods. The applicability of the proposed algorithm for the fault diagonosis to a tank or pipeline system is demonstrated

  • GIS became increasingly important in information-oriented society as social indirect capital and many GIS data are developed. To use these data effectively standard format that enables easy to transport and store is needed. For this purpose, OGC developed GML based on XML as web standard format of geographical information. In this study, web based mapping with respect to digital geologic map and gravity anomaly map was accomplished using GML. While, styling methods were implemented in XSLT to make the visualizing suitable for the character of each layer, so it is possible to make dynamic maps in the SVG. GML-base map produced in this study can be transferred and represented without loss of the meaning and degrading on the web.
