This study was designed to estimate the shelf-life of the popular chilled foods kimbab (rice rolled in dried laver), samgak kimbab (triangular rice rolled in dried laver), eomook (fish surimi, boiled fish paste) mook (acorn-starch jelly), and tofu (soybean curd) in large discount markets and convenience stores. Different types of chilled foods were stored at 5, 7, and 10 for 7 and 28 days, and changes in the total numbers of the aerobic bacteria were monitored. Values of 6 and 7 log cfu/g were used as the standard. Ready-to-eat foods stored at 5 showed a much longer shelf-life compared to storage at 10. The respective percentage increases in the shelf-life observed at both 7 and 5 were kimbab (70%, 171%), samgak kimbab (87%, 143%), soybean curd (46%, 95%), fish surimi (46%, 99%), and mook (45%, 87%). To reduce the microbiological contamination, storages at 7 and 5 are recommended for the increases of 45-88 and 87-171% in the shelf-life of these chilled foods.
XML instances for purpose of information exchange are normally stored in the legacy relational database. Therefore, integrations with relational database are required for effective XML applications. To support these requirements, virtual decomposition storage or decomposition storage methods which save separates structures of instances to relational database have researched. However, these storage methods contain different information of schema structure and layers which has caused difficulties to process query during search operation as well as increased overheads due to duplicate savings for separate storages. Therefore, in this research, additional field of 'Eltype' has introduced to previous database schema structure to instance and schema structure, provide consistent level information and propose storage structure to map each field to schema field of relational database. As results, XML instance and structures can be stored together to minimize overheads and required storage-space. Also, synchronized storage layer structure provides easier processing of search query.
This paper proposes a relational security model-based RDF Web ontology access control model. The Semantic Web is recognized as a next generation Web and RDF is a Web ontology description language to realize the Semantic Web. Much effort has been on the RDF and most research has been focused on the editor, storage, and inference engine. However, little attention has been given to the security issue, which is one of the most important requirements for information systems. Even though several researches on the RDF ontology security have been proposed, they have overhead to load all relevant data to memory and neglect the situation that most ontology storages are being developed based on relational database. This paper proposes a novel RDF Web ontology security model based on relational database to resolve the issues. The proposed security model provides high practicality and usability, and also we can easily make it stable owing to the stability of the relational database security model.

Data-centric storage schemes(DCS) are one of representative researches that efficiently store and manage sensor readings in sensor nodes in the sensor networks. In DCS, a sensor sends the sensed data to a specific node in order to store them. However, it has a problem that sensor nodes consume a lot of energy for transmitting their readings to remote sensor node. In this paper, we propose a novel sensor data compression algorithm to reduce communication costs. The proposed algorithm does not transmit all the sensed data and establishes a safe region. It transmits the sensed data only when current measurement is out of the safe region, As a result, the propposed algorithm extends network life time and reduces data transmission. It is shown through performance evaluation that our proposed algorithm reduces energy consumption by about 60% over the conventional algorithm.

In around of Guryongpo Pohang Port, a Guamegi production special zone is being established as modernized processing plants, cold storages, Guamegi research centers, or publicity centers are being built in a row with forming the tourism and culture streets as a start. Regarding the special Guamegi production zone, the local autonomous entities are promoting various projects as investing approximately 40 billion won as its budget; however, it is still very rare to elevate the level of Guamegi, the special product, and make investment plans to create a brand for it. To make a special product brand cannot be realized just by building the Guamegi industrialization processing complex, and mere publicity also does not guarantee sustainable development. It can be realized only when the product's taste or hygiene satisfies the people's needs. Therefore, this study examines the changes of Guamegi-related business and the strategies to develop Guamegi industry in order to find ways to manufacture Guamegi and cultivate specialized manpower for processing to make a special brand with Guamegi. Regarding the Guamegi business and the cultivation of specialized manpower for Guamegi, this study conducted a survey to 377 persons including the business owners, employees, or civil servants related with Guamegi. It is needed to install educational institutions to cultivate specialized manpower for Guamegi and also operate various programs so as to conduct education to cultivate specialized manpower for Guamegi. And it is necessary to elevate the quality and sanitation of Guamegi and create a brand by inducing a specialized license system that can help those involved in Guamegi business have pride.
Background: Adipose tissues were initially introduced as energy storages, but recently they have become famous as an endocrine organ which produces and secretes various kinds of molecules to make physiologic and metabolic changes in human body. It has been studied that these molecules are secreted in abundance as the adipose tissue becomes bigger along with obesity. Furthermore, it has been found that they are mediating systemic inflammation and generation of metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and atherosclerosis. On the basis of these, we studied previous papers which have been researched about the interaction between preadipocytes and macrophages, adipose tissues and lymph nodes, and adipose tissue secreting molecules. Results: Firstly, preadipocytes and macrophages are expressing similar transcriptomes and proteins, and preadipocytes can be converted to mature macrophages which have phagocytic activity. Moreover, the monocytes, which initially located in the bone marrow, are filtrated to the adipose tissue by monocyte chemotatic protein-1 and are matured to macrophages by colony stimulating factor-1. Secondly, adipose tissues and their associated lymph nodes are interacting each other in terms of energy efficiency. Lymph nodes promote lipolysis in adipose tissues, and polyunsaturated fatty acids in adipocytes become energy sources for dendritic cells. Lastly, adipose tissues produce and secrete proinflammatory molecules such as leptin, adiponectin, TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-6, and acute phase proteins, which induce the inflammation and potentially generate metabolic diseases. Conclusion: According to these, we can link adipose tissues to inflammation, but we need to affirm the actual levels and roles of adipose tissue-derived proinflammatory molecules in human body.

In this paper, we propose BLOCS algorithm to find sequence of data that should be saved in cache device of hybrid storage system which uses SSD as a cache device. BLOCS algorithm which uses a sequence pattern mining scheme, creates a set of frequently requested sectors with respect to requested order of sectors. To compare the performance of the proposed scheme, we introduce Distance (DIST) based scheme, Request Frequency (FREQ) based scheme, and Frequency times Size (F-S) based scheme. We measure the hit ratio and I/O latency of different caching schemes using hybrid storage caching simulator. We acquired booting workload along with ten scenarios of launching applications and use the workloads as input to the cache simulator. After experiment with booting workload, we find that BLOCS scheme gives hit ratio of 61% which is about 15% higher than the least performing DIST scheme.
Blue mold is the most important postharvest disease of apples in Korea. Apple fruits with blue mold symptoms were collected from storages in different locations in Korea and were investigated for their association with Penicillium species. A total of sixty five isolates of Penicillium were sampled from the collected apples. Based on DNA sequence analysis of ${\beta}$-tublin gene and ITS and lsu rDNA (ID region) and morphological characteristics, they were identified as P. crustosum, P. expansum, P. italicum, P. solitum and P. sp.. P. sp. which is closely related to P. hirsutum is a new species, not reported before. P. expansum (35%) was predominant species followed by P. crustosum. The phylogenetic tree inferred from combined ${\beta}$-tublin and ID region sequence showed good correlation with species that are defined by morphological characteristics. In pathogenicity test, apples were wound-inoculated with conidial suspension and incubated at $20-22^{\circ}C$. The most severe and destructive species was P. expansum. The species caused a decayed area 42-50mm in diameter after 8-10days. Decayed area caused by P. crustosum and P. sp. was 26-32mm and 20-26mm, respectively. This is the first record of P. crustosum, P. italicum and P. sp. from apple in Korea.
To address the problems caused by such high installation and maintenance cost in the conventional server-based cloud systems, researches on P2P cloud storages have been conducted recently. In this paper, we propose a hierachical overlay structure that can improve the playback quality in P2P cloud storage systems for video transmission. In this structure, after we make groups by clustering the participating peers based on their similarities, we construct subgroups by geographically dividing the peers belonging to a specific group considering the physical proximities among them. Therefore, when a request for video playback is issued, we can minimize the transmission delay by selecting the source peers depending on their locality. By simulations, we show that our proposed hierarchical overlay structure considering the peers' locality outperforms the structure where source peers are selected randomly.

Today, using RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) card is extended in diversity as medical treatment, circulation market, military affairs, manufacture, security, etc. The RFID technology is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data for the purpose of identification using radio waves. This advantage of the RFID will be as a replacement for traditional Barcoding. Besides, book-lending system and attendance management system become the center of educational institution in interest. This paper presents a attendance management system using the RFID card which provides directly information of attendance for professors with mobile and students with web. Also, the students only have ID card that embed RFID tag which is recognized attendance through DB that storages to is received a information of student from RFID card Reader. And it is possible management or report for attendance and time table not only for professors by management program but also for students by web program.
