Growth Modelling of Listeria monocytogenes in Korean Pork Bulgogi Stored at Isothermal Conditions

  • The purpose of this study was to develop predictive models for the growth of Listeria monocytogenes in pork Bulgogi at various storage temperatures. A two-strain mixture of L. monocytogenes (ATCC 15313 and isolated from pork Bulgogi) was inoculated on pork Bulgogi at 3 Log CFU/g. L. monocytogenes strains were enumerated using general plating method on Listeria selective medium. The inoculated samples were stored at 5, 15, and $25^{\circ}C$ for primary models. Primary models were developed using the Baranyi model equations, and the maximum specific growth rate was shown to be dependent on storage temperature. A secondary model of growth rate as a function of storage temperature was also developed. As the storage temperature increased, the lag time (LT) values decreased dramatically and the specific growth rate of L. monocytogenes increased. The mathematically predicted growth parameters were evaluated based on the modified bias factor ($B_f$), accuracy factor ($A_f$), root mean square error (RMSE), coefficient of determination ($R^2$), and relative errors (RE). These values indicated that the developed models were reliably able to predict the growth of L. monocytogenes in pork Bulgogi. Hence, the predictive models may be used to assess microbiological hygiene in the meat supply chain as a function of storage temperature.

  • 저류함수모형의 매개변수는 호우사상법, 유출시간별 변화를 반영하지 못하는 상수값을 가지므로 일반적으로 모형의 계산결과에 오차가 크게 나타난다. 본 연구에서 강우-유출의 개념적 모형인 저류함수모형을 개선하여 시변성 매개변수를 도입한 수정저류함수모형을 제안하였다. 제안된 모형은 시변성 매개변수의 실시간 제어방법으로 퍼지추론을 도입하였으며, 모형의 적용타당성은 금강수계의 보청천유역에 대한 호우사상을 이용하여 검토되었다. 퍼지제어에 의한 수정저류함수모형으로 예측된 유출수문곡선의 형태와 첨두유량은 기존모형의 결과보다관측치에 잘 일치하였다.

Simulink 모델을 활용한 주파수추종용 ESS 운전 특성분석 (Historical Operation Characteristic Analysis of Energy Storage System for Governor Free using Simulink Model)

  • As the development of BESS(Battery Energy Storage System), the application of BESS in load frequency control is considered as effective method. So, KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) have installed about 236MW ESS for GF(Govner Free) function from 2014. In this paper, we implemented Simulink Model for KEPCO GF ESS and analyzed one year historical operation data generated by Simulink model and actually measured frequency data. The operation results were divided into action for maintaining SOC and frequency. In addition, we also analyzed cycle life of GF ESS using two ESS cycle life model. We concluded the ESS cycle life models are not appropriate, because Most of the SOC swing in operation results are below 10%.

저류지 생태공원 설계모형 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Design Model of Ecological Park as Stormwater Storage Facilities)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop design model of ecological park as stormwater storage facilities. The results are as follows : First, the design model of ecological park as stormwater storage facilities consider ecological and landscape characteristics such as high efficiency of land use, function as disaster prevention, ecological water purification, formation of habitat for flora and fauna. Second, this study demonstrates two types of plane structure and eight types of designed section. They can be combined and designed depending on conditions of each site. The facilities of stormwater storage conduct disaster prevention system and ecological park. Retention pond in stormwater storage facilities for ecological park also should be made for ecological restoration in the site. Third, the ecological park provide the basis for ecological network from in-site to out-site. Therefore its conservation and restoration plan consider the ecosystems of the site. Fourth, the most important factor for maintenance and management for retention pond is keeping water quality. Sustainable Structured wetland Biotop system is suggested for ecological water purification system in the retention pond which is one of the constructed wetland system using multi-celled aquatic plant and pond. This system can also provide habitat for animals and plants, water friendly park for men, and beautiful landscape.

강우-유출모형의 매개변수 보정을 위한 최적화 기법의 비교분석 (The Comparative Analysis of Optimization Methods for the Parameter Calibration of Rainfall-Runoff Models)

  • The conceptual rainfall-runoff models are used to predict complex hydrological effects of a basin. However, to obtain reliable results, there are some difficulties and problems in choosing optimum model, calibrating, and verifying the chosen model suitable for hydrological characteristics of the basin. In this study, Genetic Algorithm and SCE-UA method as global optimization methods were applied to compare the each optimization technique and to analyze the application for the rainfall-runoff models. Modified TANK model that is used to calculate outflow for watershed management and reservoir operation etc. was optimized as a long term rainfall-runoff model. And storage-function model that is used to predict real-time flood using historical data was optimized as a short term rainfall-runoff model. The optimized models were applied to simulate runoff on Pyeongchang-river watershed and Bocheong-stream watershed in 2001 and 2002. In the historical data study, the Genetic Algorithm and the SCE-UA method showed consistently good results considering statistical values compared with observed data.

트랜시스를 이용한 지열 응답 함수 경계 조건 검증 및 시뮬레이션 모델 개발에 관한 연구 (Verification of the Boundary Conditions Used for Generating g-functions and Development of a TRNSYS Simulation Model Using g-functions)

  • To verify different boundary conditions on the borehole wall, which are commonly used for generating g-function, the well-known TRNSYS simulation model, DST (Duct STorage), is employed. By letting the fluid circulation determine the borehole wall conditions, a DST-based g-function is induced with numerical processes proposed in this work. A new TRNSYS module is also developed to accommodate g-function data and predict dynamic outlet fluid temperatures. Results showed that the modified g-function, which is different from Eskilson's original g-function, is closer to the DST-based g-function. This implies that the uniform heat transfer rates over the height can be used for good approximation. In fact, simulations with the modified g-function showed similar results as the DST model, while Eskilson g-function case deviated from the DST model as time progressed.

동적효과를 고려한 저류함수모형의 최적 매개변수 결정 (The optimal parameter estimation of storage function model based on the dynamic effect)

  • 강우로부터 유출현상은 고유적으로 비선형성이다. 더욱이 실제적으로 이와 같은 비선형성의 해석은 많은 어려움을 내포하고 있다. 또한, 부정류효과의 동적작용을 고려한 저류개념은 매개변수의 유역특성상 추정하기가 상당히 복잡하기 때문에 피해오고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 동적효과를 고려한 비선형의 저류함수에 대한 매개변수의 최적치를 얻고자 시도한다. 이를 위한 수치해법은 금강의 보청천유역의 관측치와 계산치의 오차를 최소로 하는 최소자승법에 의거 준선형화, Runge-Kutta 및 pattern-search 법들을 적용한다. 본 연구의 동적효과를 고려한 비선형 개념적모형의 적용성은 비선형성만을 고려한 저류함수모형 및 기존의 Nash 모형과 비교하여 검토하였다. 그 결과 2계모형이 l계모형보다 강우로부터 유출예측치를 보다 더 잘 재현하는 것을 알 수 있었으며, Nash 모형과는 대등함을 보여주었다. 여기서 획득된 매개변수들은 물리적 의미뿐만 아니라 본 모형의 국내 적용성도 제공한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 저류함수법의 매개변수 추정을 위해 개발한 범용모형을 토대로 관측수문자료를 보유하고 있는 16개 댐유역에 적용하여 그 적정성을 확인하였다. 저류함수법의 기존 매개변수 추정식은 대부분 한정된 조건에서 얻어졌고 다양한 유역특성을 고려할 때 물리적 의미가 없는 값이 얻어지는 경우가 많아 미계측유역에서 적용이 회피되어 왔다. 본 연구에서 개발된 매개변수 추정결과는 이러한 문제를 보이지 않으면서도 다양한 유역특성인자의 변화에 민감하게 반응할 수 있는 특성을 보여주고 있었다. CN방법에 의해 직접적으로 도출된 유효우량과 함께 범용모형을 이용한 매개변수 추정을 토대로 미계측유역에서 저류함수법의 활용성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

확장 TOPMODEL의 영역화 민감도 분석 (Regionalized Sensitivity Analysis of Extended TOPMODEL)

  • 인공배수 되고 있는 농업유역을 위한 확장된 TOPMODEL은 강우유출 모의를 위해 개발되어졌다. 불포화흐름의 해석을 위해 기존 모형의 저류함수법과 본 연구에서 새로이 제시하는 전달함수법을 비교하였다. 매개변수의 민감도 결정과 저류함수법과 전달함수법간의 거동의 비교를 위하여 영역화 민감도 분석기법이 쓰였다. Monte-Carlo 방법을 활용한 변수 추정시, 전달함수를 활용한 모의가 보다 많은 성공적인 모의결과의 변수조합이 관찰되었다. 강우유출 양상의 계절적 변동을 고려하기 위해 일곱 개의 강우사상이 만감도 분석에 활용되었다.

저온저장고 내부의 균일한 온도분포를 위한 3차원 공기유동 분석 (3-D Simulation of Air Flow in Cold Storage Room for Uniform Temperature Distribution)

  • Most of the domestic cold storage rooms are inefficient for agricultural products because of temperature gradients inside the storage rooms. Temperature gradients are developed mainly by improper airflow pattern inside the storage room, which is a main cause of the spoilage of the agricultural products. There proper airflow pattern is essential to minimize these temperature gradients and the spoilage. The performance and characteristics of a cold storage room were determined as a function of airflow pattern and temperature distribution in forced circulation cold storage room. A commercial CFD(computational fluid dynamics) code was used to simulate 3-D airflow in the cold storage room. Solving the flow equations for the storage room, a standard k-$\varepsilon$ turbulent model was implemented to calculate steady state turbulent velocity distribution. The CFD prediction results were compared with temperature measurements inside the cold storage room. In case of pallet storage, Temperature gradients inside pallet storage was reduced because the contact area of cold air expanded through an alley of airflow in storage. But is case of bulk storage, the last temperature of storage considerably rose more than the initial temperature of storage. The reason was that bulk storage didn't include any alley of airflow in storage.
