Behavior of exterior reinforced concrete beam-column joints including a new reinforcement

  • Six reinforced concrete beam-column joint specimens were constructed and tested under reverse cyclic loading to failure. The six specimens were divided into three groups, each group representing a different joint design. The main objectives of this study are to investigate the response of joints with three different design, reinforcement detailing and beam strengths, and to evaluate and compare the responses of beam-column joints reinforced with traditional steel rebar and a recently proposed steel reinforcement called prefabricated cage system (PCS). Each of the three test specimen designs included equivalent amount of steel reinforcement and had virtually identical details. The results of the research show that the PCS reinforced joints had a slightly higher strength and significantly larger deformation capacity than the equivalent rebar reinforced joints.

Experimental study on hollow steel-reinforced concrete-filled GFRP tubular members under axial compression

  • Hollow steel-reinforced concrete-filled GFRP tubular member is a new kind of composite members. Firstly set the mold in the GFRP tube (non-bearing component), then set the longitudinal reinforcements with stirrups (steel reinforcement cage) between the GFRP tube and the mold, and filled the concrete between them. Through the axial compression test of the hollow steel-reinforced concrete-filled GFRP tubular member, the working mechanism and failure modes of composite members were obtained. Based on the experiment, when the load reached the ranges of $55-70%P_u$ ($P_u-ultimate$ load), white cracks appeared on the surface of the GFRP tubes of specimens. At that time, the confinement effects of the GFRP tubes on core concrete were obvious. Keep loading, the ranges of white cracks were expanding, and the confinement effects increased proportionally. In addition, the damages of specimens, which were accompanied with great noise, were marked by fiber breaking and resin cracking on the surface of GFRP tubes, also accompanied with concrete crushing. The bearing capacity of the axially compressed components increased with the increase of reinforcement ratio, and decreased with the increase of hollow ratio. When the reinforcement ratio was increased from 0 to 4.30%, the bearing capacity was increased by about 23%. When the diameter of hollow part was decreased from 55mm to 0, the bearing capacity was increased by about 32%.

  • 어군의 분포밀도와 초음파산란강도의 관계를 검토하기 위하여, 50kHz의 주파수에서 net cage (농망)에 분포밀도가 기지인 어군을 수용하고, 어군밀도의 변화에 기인하는 echo energy의 변동을 고찰하고, 또 cage 실험에 의해 추정한 어체의 평균적인 반사강도와 개개의 어체를 대상으로 구한 평균반사강도를 상호 비교, 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. cage 실험에 의한 붕어의 평균반사강도는 -41.9dB로서, 이 값은 현장에서 개개의 붕어(마취어, 평균체장 19.1cm)를 대상으로 측정한 평균반사강도 -42.6dB보다 0.7dB 더 컸다. 2. cage내에 수용한 어군의 분포밀도가 증가함에 따라, 어군에 의한 평균체적산란강도는 직선적으로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 즉, 어군밀도가 7, 13, 20, 26, 39, 52, 66 마리/m 상(3)였을 때, 각각의 어군에 의한 평균체적산란강도는 -33.0, -28.9, -27.6, -24.3, -25.1, -23.6, -22.1dB이었다. 3. 어군밀도 $\rho(마리/m$ 상(3))와 평균체적산란강도 (dB)와의 사이에는 다음의 관계식이 성립하였다. =-41.9+11.0 $Log(\rho),$ r=0.97 이 식에 회귀직선의 기울기 11은 이론적인 값 10에 거의 근사하였다.

  • 강관합성 현장타설말뚝은 굴착시 공벽보호를 위해 사용되는 강관케이싱을 구조재로 보고 내부에 콘크리트를 채운 합성말뚝으로서 외부 강관이 내부 콘크리트의 변형을 억제하여 말뚝의 강도를 증가시키고 연성파괴를 유도하는 보강 효과를 발휘한다. 본 연구에서는 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 현장 적용성을 분석하기 위하여 현장재하시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과 강관 선단부 즉, 강관합성-콘크리트 경계면이 구조적으로 취약하며 휨에 대한 저항력이 작기 때문에 내부 철근망을 설치하여 이 부분을 보강할 필요가 있었다. 또한 강관합성-콘크리트 경계면이 휨모멘트의 영향을 받지 않는 충분히 갚은 깊이에 위치하고 주변지반의 구속효과가 발휘되는 경우에는 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 하부 콘크리트 재료에 대한 허용강도가 증가하므로 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 설계하중을 증가시켜 경제적인 설계가 기능해질 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

SUP7 및 SAE9254강의 피로강도에 미치는 압축잔류응력의 영향 (The effect of compress residual stresses of shot peening for fatigue strength of SUP7 and SAE9254 steel)

  • Recently the steel parts used at automobiles are required to be used under high stress more than ever before in need of the weight down. To achieve this requirement of a high strength steel, it must be necessary to decrease inclusion content and surface defect as like decarburization, surface roughness etc.. In this study, the surface conditions are measured to know the influence on fatigue properties by two cases of two-stage shot peening iud single-stage shot peening for two kinds of spring steel(SUP7, SAE9254). This study shows the outstanding improvement of fatigue properties at the case of two-stage shot peening in the rotary bending fatigue test and this is assumed to be from decreasing the surface roughness unchanging the surface hardness increasing the compressive residual stress. Results also show fatigue failures originated at inclusion near surface, and this inclusion type is turned out to be a alumina of high hardness.

To achieve this requirement of a high strength steel, it must be necessary to decrease inclusion content and surface defect as like decarburization, surface roughness etc., In this study, the surface conditions are measured to know the influence on fatigue properties by two cases of shot peening of two-stage shot peening and single-stage shot peening. And for this study, two kinds of spring steel(SAE 9254, DIN 50CrV4) are made. This study shows the outstanding improvement of fatigue properties at the case of two-stage shot peening in the rotary bending fatigue test and this is assumed to be from (1) on low stress condition, the single stage shot peening is not affected by nonmetallic inclusion under metal. (2) it is possible that the two-stage shot peening increases the fatigue life and the high stress, but, that is affected by nonmetallic inclusion under metal. (3) so far, beeasily 50CrV4 have made high stress. But, results also show fatigue failures originated at inclusion near surface, and this inclusion type is turned out to be a alumina of high hardness.

식이 DHA와 환경보충이 흰쥐의 뇌지방조성 및 Acetylcholinesterase활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of DHA and Environmental Enrichment on Brain Fatty Acid Composition and Acetylcholinesterase Activity)

  • To investigate the effect of dietary docosahexaenoic acid(DHA) and environmental enrichment on brain fatty acid composition and acetylcholinesterase(AChE) activity, two groups of was fed isocaloric diets containing 10 or 12% dietary lipids for 7 weeks. A third group was fed 10% (w/w) dietary lipids with supplemented 2% DHA-rich fish oil. Each diet group was housed either in a stainless steel cage individually or in a large enriched cage with toys where 7 rats were kept together. The fatty acid composition of plasma and brain was significantly affected by dietary lipid composition but not by environmental enrichment. Fish oil supplementation significanlty decreased plasma levels of monounsaturated fatty acids(MUFA) and increased polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA). Fish oil supplemented groups also maintained lower plasma n-6 fatty acids and higher n-3 fatty acids levels than unsupplemented groups. The fish oil supplementation significantly decreased arachidonic acid and increased eicosapentaenic, docosapentaenoic acids, and DHA in brain fatty acid composition. In addition, brain DHA level in supplemented groups tended higher than the unsupplemented. Brain, AChE activity significantly increased by the environmental enrichment but not by the fish oil supplementation. These finding suggest that the 2% fish oil (0.57% DHA & 0.31% EPA, per diet weigth) supplementation is enough to accumulate n-3 fatty acids and to change the n-6 n-3 ratio in brain and environmental enrichment might promote the learning ability.

실험용 흰쥐의 내부기생충 감염실태조사 (Prevalence of internal parasites in the laboratory rats)

  • A survey on the prevalence of internal parasites in the laboratory rats in the Chonnam and Kyunggi areas was carried out. A total of 208 rats was selected for necropsy and the parasites were collected from the organs and the fecal samples. The infection rate of the internal parasites was high as 63.9% and eight species of parasites were identified. Among the species identified A tetraptera(21.6%) and H diminuta(20.7%) appeared with relatively higher infection rates than any other species identified. A significant difference in numbers of parasites was recognized between the regions as 8 species in Chonnam and 4 species in Kyunggi. The laboratory rats reared in stainless steel cage showed the higher infection rate than those in polycarbonate cage, with some exception in H spumosa and H nana. In this survey T crassicauda was firstly in the laboratory rats in Korea.

  • Approximately 25% of military establishments became superannuated to unable perform their function, and it influences on the environment by construction wastes and the waste of national budget, as there is no rational and objective standard even though old facilities have been replaced through modernization project. Therefore, it has been searched to introduce industrial building system that can cope with the new building-construction and transference for the improvement of existing military establishments. However, as there is no economical estimation standard for practical use, industrial building-construction is still remaining at the initial stage, and the study is insufficient too. So. in this study, I would like to develope LCC cost model for rational LCC comparative analysis between industrial construction system (Modular) and existing reinforced concrete structure and cage, and to evaluate economical efficiency through case analysis.

사진측량기법을 이용한 엑스선영상의 3차원 모형화 (Three-dimensional Reconstruction of X-ray Imagery Using Photogrammetric Technique)

  • 엑스선 영상은 의료분야에서 많이 활용되고 있으며 특히 인간의 골격형성 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 척추만곡의 변형을 파악하는 데 아주 효율적이다. 본 연구에서는 엑스선 영상의 사진기 검정과 엑스선 영상을 이용한 대상물의 3차원 좌표 결정에 중점을 두었다. 엑스선 사진기를 이용한 대상물의 좌표결정 과정은 엑스선 사진기 검정을 위해서 방사선이 투과되지 않게 제작된 쇠볼이 배치된 1차 검정대상물을 이용하여 엑스선 영상의 내부표정요소와 외부표정요소를 결정하고 이로 부터 엑스선에 교차하게 아크릴로 제작된 두 면을 가지고 있는 엑스선 검정장의 3차원 좌표를 결정하는 2단계 과정을 거쳤다. 사진측량기법에 의해 결정된 엑스선 검정장의 3차원 좌표값은 정밀하게 관측된 CMM과의 비교를 통하여 그 정확도를 평가하였으며 엑스선의 진행방향(X축)에 대한 오차가 Y축과 Z축에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타났으나 Y축과 Z축에 대한 위치오차는 수 mm의 정확도를 나타내었다. 본 연구를 통해서 사진측량기법은 환자의 3차원 위치결정이나 의료용 교정기기를 제작하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
