Flag를 가지는 SMMA 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of SMMA Adaptive Blind Equalization Algorithm with A Flag)

  • 본 논문에서는 고차 QAM 시스템에서 Flag를 가지는 SMMA 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘을 제안한다. SMMA는 MMA를 변형하여 다중 contour를 적용함으로써 특성 향상을 얻었으나 여전히 불일치 문제로 인해 정상상태에서의 잔류 오차가 크다는 한계를 가지고 있다. 이러한 정상상태에서의 잔류 오차를 크게 줄이기 위해 우리는 SMMA와 결정지향 알고리즘으로 부터 얻어진 '1' 또는 '0'의 이진 Flag에 의해 제어되는 SMMA를 제안하고, 이 알고리즘에 대한 성능을 분석하였다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘이 MMA나 SMMA에 비해 정상상태에서의 잔류 심볼간 간섭과 잔류 오차등에서 크게 향상된 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다.

  • CMA나 MCMA 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘은 특별한 형태의 신호점을 원하는 신호점로 간주하므로써 완전한 등화에 도달시에도 원래의 신호점과의 불일치로 인한 오차가 불가피하다. 본 논문에서는 축소 신호점 대신에 결정된 원래의 신호점을 이용한 새로운 오차함수를 도입하여 빠른 수렴 속도로 정상상태에 도달하며, 정상상태에서의 오차를 크게 개선한 새로운 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘이 반송파 위상 복원을 가지는 CMA 및 MCMA등과 같은 CMA 계열의 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘들에 비해 잔류 심볼간 간섭과 수렴 속도면에서 향상된 성능을 가짐을 확인 하였다.

  • Grid Connected inverter is produced current to deliver power to grid. To provide low THD current, LCL filters is effective to filter high frequency component of current output from inverter. To provide sinusoidal waveform, there are many researchers have been proposed several controllers for grid-connected inverter controllers. Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF)-based controller is the most popular methods. SRF-based controller is capable for reducing both of zero-steady state error and phase delay. But SRF based controller is contained cross-coupling components, which generate some difficulties to analyze. In this paper, SRF based controller is analyzed. By applying decoupling control, cross-coupling component is eliminated and single phase model of the system is obtained. Through this single phase model, gain controller is designed. To reduce steady state error, proportional gain is set as high as possible, but it may produce instability. To compromise between a minimum steady state error and stability, the single phase model is evaluate through Root Locus and Bode diagram. PSIM simulation is used to verify the analysis.

  • Heat loss from windows and condensation occuring on its surface due to its lower insulation value causes much discomfort to occupants. In this study, Heated glass was used to make a basic study on prevention of condensation on glass surface for its heating functionality through experimental measurement and simulation analysis of total heat flux on the interior and exterior surface of glass. Error between experimental results and three dimensional steady-state heat transfer analysis were caused firstly, beacuse in the experimental chambers, cold chamber and steady temperature and humidity chamber, air temperature setting was not constant but rather ON/OFF control, and secondly, due to error rate in heat flux meter due to heat flux direction even in stable conditions.

마이크로컴퓨터를 이용한 최적축 위치제어

  • This paper proposes an optimal control scheme for shaft position control using microcomputer-based state-variable feedback. In this scheme a performance index was set up in order to ruduce the overshoot and improve the steady- state response speed, and the time-variant system parameters were identified in real time for optimal control. As a result of experiment, the over-shoot was not occured and the response speed was improved 2. 9 times about proportional control. This scheme improves the performance against the variation of load and sampling time, and adding the integral control in this scheme can reduce the steady-state error without any change in response time.

  • CMA(constant modulus algorithm)의 수렴 특성과 정상상태 성능을 개선하기 위한 교번 적응 알고리즘(alternate adaptation algorithm: AAA)을 제안한다. 교번 적응 알고리즘은 블라인드 수렴 특성이 우수한 알고리즘과 정상상태 오차 성능이 좋은 알고리즘을 이용하여 등화기를 번갈아 적응시키는 새로운 등화 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 가변 수렴상수를 적용한 vsCMA(variable step-size CMA)와 판정의거(decision-directed: DD) 알고리즘을 이용한 교번 적응 등화를 소개한다. 제안 방식에서는 먼저, CMA의 정상상태 오차 성능 개선을 위해 수렴상수를 가변 하는 vsCMA를 고안하였으며, 이를 DD와 교번 적응에 의해 결합함으로써 CMA의 수렴 속도와 정상상태 성능을 개선하고, CMA-DD 전환 방식에서 전환 타이밍에 따른 성능 변동의 민감성을 완화하였다. 제안 방법의 유용성을 확인하기 위해 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 다중경로 채널에서 16-QAM에 대해 평가하였다.

고속 광 디스크 드라이브를 위한 디스크의 편심 보상 방법 (A Method for Reducing the Effect of Disk Radial Runout for a High-Speed Optical Disk Drive)

  • Disk radial runout creates a periodic relative motion between the laser beam spot and tracks formed on an optical disk. While only focus control is activated, the periodic relative motion yields sinusoid-like waves in the tracking error signal, where one cycle of the sinusoid-like waves corresponds to one track. The frequency of the sinusoid-like waves varies depending on the disk rotational speed and the amount of the disk radial runout. If the frequency of the tracking error signal in the off-track state is too high due to large radial runout of the disk, it is not a simple matter to begin track-following control stably. It might take a long time to reach a steady state or tracking control might fail to reach a stable steady state in the worst case. This article proposes a simple method for reducing the relative motion caused by the disk radial runout in the off-track state. The relative motion in the off-track state is effectively reduced by a drive input obtained through measurements of the tracking error signal and simple calculations based on the measurements, which helps reduce the transient response time of the track-following control. The validity of the proposed method is verified through an experiment using an optical disk drive.

Low-Complexity Hybrid Adaptive Blind Equalization Algorithm for High-Order QAM Signals

  • It is well known that the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) presents a large steady-state mean-square error (MSE) for high-order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signals. In this paper, we propose a low-complexity hybrid adaptive blind equalization algorithm, which augments the CMA error function with a novel constellation matched error (CME) term. The most attractive advantage of the proposed algorithm is that it is computationally simpler than concurrent CMA and soft decision-directed (SDD) scheme (CMA+SDD), and modified CMA (MCMA), while the approximation of steady-state MSE of the proposed algorithm is same with CMA+SDD, and lower than MCMA. Extensive simulations demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

유전자 알고리즘 적용을 통한 향상된 RRS Logic 개발 (Improved RRS Logical Architecture using Genetic Algorithm)

  • An improved RRS (Reactor Regulating System) logic is implemented in this work using systems engineering approach along with GA (Genetic Algorithm) deemed as providing an optimal solution to a given system. The current system works desirably and has been contributed to the safe and stable NPP operation. However, during the ascent and decent section of the reactor power, the RRS output reveals a relatively high steady state error and the output also carries a considerable level of overshoot. In an attempt to consolidate conservatism and minimize the error, this research proposes applying genetic algorithm to RRS and suggests reconfiguring the system. Prior to the use of GA, reverse-engineering is implemented to build a Simulink-based RRS model and re-engineering is followed to apply the GA and to produce a newly-configured RRS generating an output that has a reduced steady state error and diminished overshoot level.

유압 서보 시스템의 속도 제어를 위한 적응제어기의 설계에 관한 연구 (An adaptive control algorithm for the speed control of hydraulic-servo system)

  • An adaptive controller which is robust to the unknown load disturbance is developed for electro-hydraulic speed control systems. Since the load disturbance degrades the performance of the controller such as a steady state error and rise time in the conventional control system, appropriate adjustment of the controller is necessary in order to obtain the desired performances. The adaptation mechanism was designed to tune the feedforward gain, based upon minimization of ITAE (integral of time-multiplied absolute error) performance. The unknown load distrubance was identified by using an analog computer from the relationship between the velocity of the hydraulic motor and the load pressure. To evaluate the performance of the controller a series of simulations and experiments were conducted for various load conditions. Both results show that the proposed adaptive controller shows abetter performance than the conventional controller in terms of the steady state error and rise time.
