Sexual health education for the patients is an independent function as well as a professional responsibility of nurses. Education should be based on the needs of patients in order to be successful and effective. Therefore nurses must identify sexual health education needs of their patients. A sexual health education protocol for hysterectomy patients was developed by the researcher for this study and included physiosexual and psychosexual topics as well as the topic of sexual interaction. The subject pool was composed of 108 post op total hysterectomy patients who had undergone doing a hysterectomy 5 to 10 days previously at 5 hospitals located in the Seoul and Kyunggi-do area from July 23 to September 30, 2001. The questionnaire was composed of 60 items on sexual health education and used a Likert-type 4-point scale. Internal consistency of this questionnaire in this study was cronbach's $\alpha$=.9495 for sexual health educational needs. For data analysis, the study executed a t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan's Test, in accordance with the purpose of the study using SPSS/PC Win 10.0. The results were as follows: The need for education was highest in the psychosexual area (3.38 point) with education related to sexual interaction the lowest (3.20 point). Osteoporosis (3.75 point) was ranked overall as the highest area of educational need. The degree of educational need varied in correlation with other characteristics of the patients including age, status of marriage, duration of marriage, religion, academic career, monthly income, occupation, the number of children age of menarche, menstruation, other diseases except gynecological disease, previous genital organ operation experience, disease discovery method, pre-explanation for the hysterectomy, average sexual intercourse frequency, how to acquire sexual health information and previous sexual health education (p<.05). In conclusion, the degree of sexual health education needs of hysterectomy patients was very high. Therefore, sexual health educational programs planned according to characteristics of the participating women is necessary.
The purpose of this study is to provide the basic information for the improvement of housewives consciousness and satisfaction of household work by analyzing the data regarding the housewives consciousness and satisfaction toward household work. The research problems was described as follows; 1) How independent variables influence the housewives consciousness of household work. 2) How independent variables influence the satisfaction of household work. 3) How relate the housewives consciousness and the satisfaction of household work. The research was conducted on 354 housewives in Seoul during the end of January and the beginning of March, 1986. As for the measurement of the instrument, questionnaire with 46 items was made by investigator. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and t-test, F-test, Scheffe-test, Pearson-r. The results were summarized as follows; 1) Among the independent variables, the ages of housewives, durations of marriage, psychologica satisfaction were variables to have influence on the housewives consciousness towark household work. 2) Among the independent variable,s the socio-economic status, durations of marriage, psychological satisfaction were variables to have influence on the satisfaction of household work. 3) There were strong positive correlationship between the housewives consciousness and the satisfaction of household work. As a result, it is necessary to minimize the repetition and the overload of house-hold chores through the rationalization of household work and also to divide householdwork properly to family members. We let the housewives feel that her ability can be obtained from the household work. Especially the housewives must have a clear and a high level of consciousness of the household work an expect to receive high value of her household work from the family members. In order to do so, it seems to be important that housewives makes on great effort to have a positive value system and attitudes toward the consciousness and satisfaction of household work. We also must develop those factors through school and home education.
This study focuses on the differences in family values, which is a cause of family dissolution and conflicts of marriage immigrant women. This study was conducted on 441 women in Vietnam. It was done to explore their family values. Specifically, the following were examined: the overall family values and martial status of Vietnamese women; differences in their family values by region (northern, central, southern). The survey questionnaire consists of the following content: 'family perception'; 'gender-role values'; 'elderly parent support value'. The characteristics of family values of Vietnamese women are as follows. First, the scope of family perceived by them was relatively narrow. In particular, most of them didn't perceive the parents of a spouse as a familymember. Second, in terms of gender-roles, they perceived men and women as equal and didn't have strong perception of traditional gender roles. Third, they felt strongly about supporting elderly parents. The perception of supporting elderly parents is based on equal gender roles, instead of the paternalistic approach. They preferred financial support to living with parents. There were also differences in family values by region. Also, their values seemed to be the opposite of the ones well-known by region. In addition, their values were changing amid economic growth and modernization. Residents in Can Tho in the south - known to have open-minded Southeast Asian values - had the most patrilineal, traditional values with strong perception towards supporting elderly parents. Residents in Hanoi in the north - known to have heavy influence of Confucian culture - had non-traditional values with positive attitude towards liberal sex culture, divorce, and remarriage. Residents in Da Nang, a central region, had a mixture of northern and southern characteristics in terms of family values.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of nutrition education programs for multicultural families and to provide policy suggestions for improvement. Methods: In-depth interviews of a total of 21 multicultural experts were conducted; 15 people were interviewed individually, while 6 people were interviewed in groups of three. Results: In-depth interviews revealed various problems related to the operation of nutrition education programs. The causes of problems were analyzed and categorized as four factors: systemic, practical, environmental and cultural. As for the systematic factors, insufficient linkage between related organizations and duplicate performance of several projects were identified as concerns Establishment of a control tower and strengthening the linkage among the related organizations may be needed to address this concern. With regard to practical factors, the study identified that language barriers, and lack of nutritional education media and tools translated into multicultural languages were limiting factors. These limitations the development of nutrition education materials that aretranslated into multiple languages, implementation of education programs that are different from the Korean education, and by providing interpreters. As for the environmental factors, low educational level and poor nutritional knowledge of multicultural women made it difficult for them to understand the contents of the education. Demonstration, practical training and urgent education on pregnancy and childbirth nutrition were identified as needs to address these concerns. Withregard to cultural factors, food culture conflict with Korean families, and difficulties in home practices were detected as concerns. Participants in the study suggested that getting education with family and facilitation of weekend and nighttime programs health of this community. Conclusions: Further studies are needed to adopt more effective and efficient nutrition intervention to promote the healthy eating of the married immigrant women based on the study results.

This study examined the ideal type of a man that women prefer and the recognition of men for their own appearance management with the rise of the importance for appearance management today. The prerequisite which matters most in time of considering a man as a date of love predominantly was centered on education, and the prerequisite which goes first among the rest in time of judging a man as the mate of marriage was undoubtedly his financial status. It is regarded that as for a date of love the visual image or the specialty other than the conditions in reality mattered most, and concerning a mate in marriage the actual financial conditions had the priority. When a man is evaluated, the percentage of appearance took the highest rate of 60~80%, and in his appearance, the general harmony was considered as the most important factor. As for the recognition of men for their appearance management, women tend to have an affirmative realization for managing their own appearance in general, and the reason was they believe that the way men take care of their own appearance belongs to personal free will. The perception for a man with a decent appearance was very positive, and the ground for this was that once the appearance looks handsome, he seems gorgeous. The recognition for men's cosmetic surgery showed the affirmation over the average, and an opinion that the settlement of personal appearance complex will help them out emerged as the ground for this affirmation, and so it is regarded that the aesthetic surgery of today and the perception for men's appearance management have become universal phenomena unlike former days with the reflection of visualization of the external visual and lookism shown from various media.
The purpose of this study is to know the status of management of nosocomial infection and to present basic data for improving management of nosocomial infection. As a result, the average score of the recognition and performance of radiologist on the management of hand washing is 4.378, and 4.199 of 5. The average score of the recognition and performance of radiologist on the management of personal hygiene is 4.284, and 3.990 of 5. The recognition of hand washing management according to the general character, statistically significant difference according to the gender, age, education, career. In the performance is statistically significant difference according to the gender, marriage situation. Finally, statistically significant difference between recognition and performance of radiologists on management of hand washing(r=0.453, p=0.000) and personal hygiene(r=0.415, p=0.000).
This study was undertaken to examine the degree of quality of life and to analyze the factors affecting those quality of life in middle-aged men. Method: The subjects of this study were 208 men aged by 35-55 from 3 business enterprises located in Seoul and Incheon. Data collection was conducted through the use of 5 questionnaire. Result: There were significant differences in the quality of life according to marital status, religion, educational level, number of children and total house income. A positive correlation was found between quality of life and all independent variables i.e., health promoting behaviors, health perception, social support, self-esteem and self-efficacy. Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor was self-esteem. Self- esteem, health perception, health promoting behaviors, marriage, and social support accounted for 65% of the variance in quality of life in middle-aged men. Conclusion: All independent variables i.e., health promoting behaviors, health perception, social support, self-esteem and self-efficacy were related with quality of life in middle-aged men. Therefore it is necessary to develop the nursing intervention with these variables to increase the quality of life for middle-aged men.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of basic needs and demographic variables of adult woman on the modesty and aethetics In the selection of clothes. The results of the study were as follows: 1. There are factors which have effect on variables of need. School careers have effect on physical need. Age, marriage status and household type have effect on safty need. Native community and household type have effect on self-esteem. School career, native community, household type and frequency of contact with mass media have effects on need of self-actualizing and native community has effect on the aesthetic need. 2. Physical bleed, self-esteem, self-actualization, safety need, fiequency of contact with mass media, age, native community and income have direct effect on the modesty of clothing. 3. Aethetic and self-actualization need, frequency of contact with mass media and income have direct effect on the aethetics of clothing.
The purposes of this study are to find the general trends of patriarchal characteristics at workplace and to investigate the differences according to related variables. The concept of patriarchal characteristics at workplace is defined in terms of three aspects of work, human relation, and sexual harassment. The data were obtained through 880 employed women living in Chonbuk-Province. The major findings were as follows : 1) As to the aspects of work and human relation, it was found that employed women very highly experienced the inequality such as sexual division of labor, sex-discrimination, sexual segregation, and women degradation. 2) Over the 90% of respondents reported that they had experienced the victimization of sexual harassment at workplace at least once. 3) The work-related variables(the type of occupation, the size of workplace, the length of employed women's continuance service, the ratio of employed women at workplace) in the degree of patriarchal characteristics were more important then demographic variables(age, education, marriage status)
The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between family strengths and teacher-efficacy among married female teachers. The findings are as follows: First, the average value of family strength was 3.98 on a five-point Likert scale, which meant that they perceived themselves as having a relatively high-level of family strength. Second, the average value of leather-efficacy was 3.14 on a five-point Likert scale, which the teachers' perceptions of their own efficacy were also relatively high. 'The subjective economic status affected the level of the family strength, whereas the leather-efficacy was affected by age, years in teaching, duration of marriage, and the age of the eldest child. Finally, the variables that influenced their techer-efficacy were positive communication, social connectedness, and the age of the eldest child.
