점 데이터를 이용한 블레이드 곡면 모델링 시스템 개발 (Development of Blade Surface Modeling System Using Point Data)

  • Stationary and rotating blades can be found in a steam turbine generator and the airfoil shapes of these blades can be defined by point data from an aerodynamic design system. The main design process of blades is composed of two steps: first, the blade surface is modeled with the point data; and then, the section data is generated which contains composite curves with line segments and arcs for CAE of the blade. The surface is modeled by a curve-net defined by the point data, which may be extended to obtain the section data to model the blade. This paper presents methods for automating the above-mentioned steps, which have been implemented in the commercial CAD/CAM system, Unigraphics, with API functions written in C-language. Finally, the proposed methods have been applied to model the blade of a steam turbine generator.

A Fine-grained Localization Scheme Using A Mobile Beacon Node for Wireless Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we present a fine-grained localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks using a mobile beacon node. The algorithm is based on distance measurement using RSSI. The beacon node is equipped with a GPS sender and RF (radio frequency) transmitter. Each stationary sensor node is equipped with a RF. The beacon node periodically broadcasts its location information, and stationary sensor nodes perceive their positions as beacon points. A sensor node's location is computed by measuring the distance to the beacon point using RSSI. Our proposed localization scheme is evaluated using OPNET 8.1 and compared with Ssu's and Yu's localization schemes. The results show that our localization scheme outperforms the other two schemes in terms of energy efficiency (overhead) and accuracy.

  • The Lyapunov stability theory has been known inadequate to prove capturability of guidance laws because the equations of motion resulted from the guidance laws do not have the equilibrium point. By introducing a proper transformation of the range state, the original equations of motion for a stationary target can be converted into nonlinear equations with a specified equilibrium subspace. Physically, the equilibrium subspace denotes the direction of missile velocity to the target. By using a single Lyapunov function candidate, capturability of several PN laws for a stationary target is then proved for examples. In this approach, there is no assumption of the constant speed missile. The proposed method is expected to provide a unified and simplified scheme to prove the capturability of various kinds of guidance laws.

  • An optimization-based real-time joint angle extraction method of human elbow is proposed by processing the biomedical signal of surface EMG (electromyogram) measured at the center point of biceps brachii. The EMG signal is known as non-stationary (time-varying) signal, but we assume that it is quasi-stationary because a physical or physiological system has limitations in the rate at which it can change its characteristics. Based on the assumption, a pre-processing method to obtain pre-angle values from raw EMG signal is firstly suggested, and then an optimization method to minimize the error between the pre-angle and real joint angle is proposed in this paper. Finally, we suggest the experimental results showing the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • The fault location algorithm based on stationary wavelet transform was developed to locate the fault point more accurately. The stationary wavelet transform(SWT) was introduced instead of conventional discrete wavelet transform(DWT) because SWT has redundancy properties which is more useful in noise signal processing. In previous paper, noise cancellation technique based on the correlation of wavelet coefficients at multi-scales was introduced, and the efficiency was also proved in full. In this paper, fault section discrimination and fault location algorithm using noise cancellation technique were tested by ATP simulation on real power cable systems. From these results, the fault can be located even in very difficult and complicated situations such as different inception angle and fault resistance.

Explicit Formulae for Characteristics of Finite-Capacity M/D/1 Queues

  • Even though many computational methods (recursive formulae) for blocking probabilities in finite-capacity M/D/1 queues have already been produced, these are forms of transforms or are limited to single-node queues. Using a distinctly different approach from the usual queueing theory, this study introduces explicit (transform-free) formulae for a blocking probability, a stationary probability, and mean sojourn time under either production or communication blocking policy. Additionally, the smallest buffer capacity subject to a given blocking probability can be determined numerically from these formulae. With proper selection of the overall offered load ${\rho}$, the approach described herein can be applicable to more general queues from a computational point of view if the explicit expressions of random vector $D_n$ are available.

  • The gas-phase reactions of methyl formate with anions, $-NH_2,\;-OH,\;-CH_2CN$, are studied theoretically using the AM1 method. Stationary points are located by the reaction coordinate method, refined by the gradient norm minimization and characterized by the determination of Hessian matrix. Potential energy profiles and the stationary point structures are presented for all conceivable processes. Four reaction paths are found to be possible: formyl proton and methyl proton abstractions, carbonyl addition, and $S_N2$ process. For the most basic anion $-NH_2$ the proton abstraction path is favored, while in other case, $OH\;and\;-CH_2CN$, the carbonyl addition paths are favored. In all cases the $S_N2$ process is the most exothermic, but due to the relatively high activation barrier the process can be ruled out.

  • 고정형 센서 노드(고정노드)와 이동형 센서 노드(이동노드)가 상존하는 형태로 무선 센서 네트워크를 구축할 경우 고정노드는 단위공간의 환경 데이터 수집 및 이동 노드를 위한 액세스 포인트 역할, 그리고 이동노드는 이동체에 부착하여 이동체의 실시간 위치인식 및 이동체 내부 상태 정보 실시간 감시가 가능해져 다양한 새로운 서비스가 창출될 수 있다. 이러한 환경에서 이동노드 간 메시지 전송 서비스는 중요한 핵심기술 이나 기존 센서 네트워크 환경에서 이동노드들의 위치 변화는 빈번한 네트워크 토폴로지 재구성을 유발하여 불안정한 통신 환경과 낮은 메시지 전송율의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다수 이동노드의 이동성을 보장하면서 고정 노드를 경유하는 이동노드 간 비동기 메시지 전송의 확률을 높이기 위한 세 가지 방법을 제안한다.

  • 정상상태에서 반도체 소자의 전기적 특성을 분석할 수 있는 소신호 해석용 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 전위와 전자 및 정공 농도의 Slotboom변수에 대한 소신호 응답을 정의한 후 $S^3A$방법을 적용하여 ,DC 동작점에서 반도체 방정식을 선형화하였다. 행렬풀이를 위해 전진해법을 사용하여 메모리 소비량을 최소화하며 고주파 영역에서 소신호 해의 정확성을 향상시켰다. 구현된 알고리즘의 검증을 위해 3차원 구조를 갖는 N'P 다이오드 및 2차원 구조를 갖는 n-MOSFET에 대해 소신호 해석을 수행하여 MEDICI와 비교한 결과, 인가 전압에 따른 컨덕턴스와 캐패시턴스의 평균 상대 오차는 N'P 다이오드에서는 0.87%와 2.6%이고, n-MOSFET의 경우 7.75%와 2.24%로 나타났다. n-MOSFET에 대하여 입력신호의 주파수 변화에 따른 컨덕턴스와 캐패시턴스를 비교한 결과 MEDICI의 경우 10GHz까지 예측한 반면 본 논문이 제시한 방법을 이용한 모의실험은 100GHz까지 예측이 가능하여 고주파 영역에서 모의실험의 정확도가 향상됨을 확인하였다.

Numerical simulation and experimental study of non-stationary downburst outflow based on wall jet model

  • Aiming at the problem of non-stationary wind field simulation of downbursts, a non-stationary down-burst generation system was designed by adding a nozzle and program control valve to the inlet of the original wall jet model. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method was used to simulate the downburst. Firstly, the two-dimensional (2D) model was used to study the outflow situation, and the database of working conditions was formed. Then the combined superposition of working conditions was carried out to simulate the full-scale measured downburst. The three-dimensional (3D) large eddy simulation (LES) was used for further verification based on this superposition condition. Finally, the wind tunnel test is used to further verify. The results show that after the valve is opened, the wind ve-locity at low altitude increases rapidly, then stays stable, and the wind velocity at each point fluctuates. The velocity of the 2D model matches the wind velocity trend of the measured downburst well. The 3D model matches the measured downburst flow in terms of wind velocity and pulsation characteris-tics. The time-varying mean wind velocity of the wind tunnel test is in better agreement with the meas-ured time-varying mean wind velocity of the downburst. The power spectrum of fluctuating wind ve-locity at different vertical heights for the test condition also agrees well with the von Karman spectrum, and conforms to the "-5/3" law. The vertical profile of the maximum time-varying average wind veloci-ty obtained from the test shows the basic characteristics of the typical wind profile of the downburst. The effectiveness of the downburst generation system is verified.
