Fatigue fracture behavior of a hybrid joint part with bolting was evaluated in comparison to the case of static fracture. Hybrid joint part specimens for bending test were made with layers of CFRP and aluminum honeycomb. Characteristic fracture behaviors of those specimens were obviously different under static and cyclic loads. Static bending load showed the shear deformation at the honeycomb core, whereas cyclic bending load caused the delamination between CFRP skin layers and honeycomb core. Experimental results obtained by static and fatigue tests were considered in modifications of design parameters of the hybrid joint.
In this study, the load test of rubber tire bogie for monorail type LRT. Bogie for rolling stock in safety operation of the vehicle as an essential core unit before applying to the vehicle safety and reliability should be tested sufficiently. Rubber tire monorail type bogie compared to the traditional bogie wheel lots of formats, the complexity of the load acting static load test, the bogie of the vehicle operation conditions by structural analysis by considering the loading conditions was evaluated by calculating. Test methods and evaluation criteria based on urban rail vehicle performance testing by applying the test were welded parts and materials for the results leading to material fatigue endurance test by applying the result of evaluating the structure has been identified as safe.
This paper describes the results of structural analysis and loading test of a bogie frame. The purpose of the analysis and test is to evaluate the safety and functionality of the bogie frame under maximum load. The bogie system consist of the bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, a brake system and a transmission system. Of these components, the bogie frame is the major components subjected to the vehicle and passenger loads. The evaluation method used the JIS E 4207 specifications throughout the FEM analysis and static load test. The test results have shown the bogie frame to be safe and stable under design load conditions.
Bogie is the connection device between carbody and wheel in railway vehicles. It is the core part that exert a important effect on the passenger safety and running safety. Bogie largely consists of bogie frame, suspension, brake, wheel set. Static and Dynamic load have acted on it complexly. When the bogie is designed, finite element method, static load test, fatigue test, running test should be considered. Some bogie frame of high speed railway freight car have the problem. It's end beam was cracked. The crack of the end beam have a bad effect on brake system. In that case, the cars would be in danger of derailment.

ROTEM co. made an improved end beam and applied one set to freight car. this report showed the vibration characteristic which was compared conventional bogie to improved bogie for running safety.
The recent high speed propeller with blade sweep is required to have high strength to get the thrust to fly at high speed. The high stiffness and strength carbon/epoxy composite material is used for the major structure and skin-spar-foam sandwich structural type is adopted for advantage in terms of the blade weight. As a design procedure for the present study, the structural design load is estimated through investigation on aerodynamic load and then flanges of spars from major bending loads and the skin from shear loads are sized using the netting rule and Rule of Mixture. In order to investigate the structural safety and stability, stress analysis is performed by finite element analysis code MSC. NASTRAN. It is found that current methodology of composite structure design is a valid method through the static structural test of prototype blade.
In this paper, the structural strength of a rolling stock seat were numerically evaluated under several design load conditions based on the UIC requirements. The rot]ins stock seat was designed for the high speed train of a Chinese conventional line. To maximize its weight reduction and structural strength, an aluminium alloy, ALDC8-T5, was applied to the base frame, side frames and armrests. The designed seat frame satisfied the strength requirements on inertia loads and fatigue test conditions. However, it couldn't satisfy the requirements on the static test conditions of UIC 566 OR. Therefore, some design modifications were suggested and numerically evaluated whether the static test requirements could be satisfied or not.
In designing rock-socketed drilled shaft, bearing capacity evaluation is very important because the maximum values of base and side resistance are not generally mobilized at the same value of displacement, FHWA and AASHTO code suggest different ultimate bearing capacity formular according to rock type and shaft settlement. In domestic code suggest base resistance and side resistance can be added on condition that after confirming the result of field load test with axial load transfer test. This paper shows that static load test and hi-directional load test result analysis of deep rock-socketed drilled shaft in three different sites. Load-settlement curve, t-z, and q-w curve in rock-socketed part were calculated and compared. t-z curve in weathered and soft rock showed no deflection softening behavior in pretty large strain (about 2-3% of diameter). Ultimate resistance could be the summation of side resistance and base resistance in rock-socketed drilled shaft in domestic sites.
Structural tests of the PSC Beam bridge using high strength concrete, concrete compressive strength 700kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, are conducted for the application including durability and serviceability of the bridge. Current design safety factors with respect to the jacking force and the service design load DB-24 are applied to the design of the bridge. Concrete compressive strength 700kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, girder depth 2.3m, girder space 3.2m, span length 20m, and slab thickness 27cm are selected for the bridge test. The Bulb-Tee section of the girders is applied instead of I section because it is well known more stable to the longer span(40m). Static load test(4 beams) with composite and non-composite section, and fatigue load test(1 beams) with composite section are conducted. Crack moment, ultimate load, deflections with load steps, and strains of the beam section for those bridges are investigated. The structural test results of the bridges showed a good performance for a safety and a serviceability.
In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of newly developed materials, the evaluation of mechanical properties using small-size specimen is essential. For those purposes, an instrumented impact testing apparatus, which provides the load-displacement curve under impact loading without oscillations, was devised. To develop the test procedure with the setup, the impact behaviors of various kinds of structural materials such as S45C, SCM4, Ti alloys (Ti-6V-4Al) and Zr-based bulk amorphous metal, were investigated through the instrumented Charpy V-notch impact tests. The calibrations of the dynamic load and displacement that was calculated based on the Newton' second law were carried out through the quasi-static load test and the comparison of a directly measured value using a laser displacement meter. Satisfactory results could be obtained. The crack initiation and propagation processes during impact fracture could be well divided on the curve, depending on the intrinsic characteristic of specimen tested; ductile or brittle. The absorbed impact energy in Zr-basd BAM was largely used for crack initiation not for crack propagation process. The fracture surfaces under impact loading showed different feature when compared with the static cases.
