단상 SRM에 사용되는 전자석 기동 장치 (Electromagnet Starting Device used in the Single-Phase SRM)

  • The squirrel case induction motor has widely used in the driving of the blowers but it is low efficiency and hard to control. So, the damper is used for the control of a flow and it cause to low the driving efficiency. Our laboratory has proposed the single-phase SRM(switched reluctance motor) for driving blowers. It has salient pole structure and can be reduced a number of semiconductors than three-phase SRM. But it can not be starting by itself and has heavier torque ripple than three-phase SRM. For self-starting the single-phase SRM is required the starting device which place the rotor at the rising inductance slope. On this paper, the electromagnet starting device is designed to generate the starting torque and to fix the rotating direction of the single-phase SRM which is fabricaed to use a blower.

단상 유도형 동기전동기의 회전자 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the Rotor Design in Single-phase Line-start Permanent Magnet Motor)

  • The purpose of this paper is the rotor design of a single-phase LSPM(Line-start permanent magnet) motor. A single-phase LSPM motor has a permanent magnet in the rotor that is same as induction motor. For that reason, magnet is operated by breaking torque in starting region and alignment torque in driving region. Therefore, we need the design process considering the trade-off relationship. In this paper, we propose the design process of a single-phase LSPM motor for a high starting torque and efficiency with FEM. And we use Taguchi Method for considering tolerance in manufacture. Finally, we compared the LSPM motor that is designed in this paper and conventional induction motor.

  • The single-phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) generates the positive torque in the restricted section. So, it can not started by itself and the torque ripple is heavier than poly-phase. For self-starting and fixing rotating direction, the rotor should be placed at the rising inductance slope when stationary. The parking permanent magnet locates the rotor in the fixed position, which can be started by it-self. It is very simple and cost effective but has some drawbacks. It affects the rotor during the operation, so the characteristics of motor, such as a torque, speed, and ripple are changed to go bad. This paper presents the detent torque of parking magnet starting device through the finite element analysis and experiments. The finite element analysis is performed at incremental rotor positions over one detent torque cycle for any one pole. The prototype, fabricated in the previous research, is used for the experiments. The inductance, instant torque, and detent torque are calculated using the terminal voltage and phase current. Finally, the finite element analysis result and the experiment result are compared for analysis and validity.

  • During an AC motor's start-up accelerating period, a large amount of current is required to reach to the rating speed. This is called in-rush current. This peak in-rush current can be more than about several times the operating or steady-state current in the full load rating of the motor. In-rush current is present in both and electronic ballasts. The main area of concern is the tripping of circuit breaker and fuses which can affect electrical system components From this, we can see that the electrical power controllers will be rather concerned, since they have to supply the actual current necessary to start the motor. This paper presents a new method to reducing in-rush current and energy saving of the single-phase induction motor used in air-conditioner. It can be obtained that proposed system is low cost and small size as compared with other controller. Experiments are focused on a capacitor starting single-phase induction motor. The optimal power saving and in-rush current limiting by phase angle control are verified by experimental results. Also, auxiliary winding was controlled by electronic starting switch.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study and analysis the failure examples for parasitic current leakage produced in starting system on gasoline engine. It verified the discharge of battery by electric leakage because of internal wiring damage problem for CD auto changer installed in car. Also, it verified the no-stating phenomenon because of deposit forming by chemical reaction of battery fluid between battery post and cable fixing parts. It verified the damage for brush holder and commutator mixing by internal short phenomenon because of brush carbon a particle and engine oil that was flowed into internal of starting motor. It verified the working phenomenon of audio by a point of contact even if the driver turn to "LOCK" position the key.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • The single phase line start permanent magnet motor has high efficiency and power factor when it operates synchronous speed. The rotor structure is composed of permanent magnet and cage bars. The motor is accelerated by rotor bars and synchronized by magnet and rotor saliency. but starting torque is disturbed by magnet braking torque so, to obtain good starting performance and synchronizing capability. the design of proper permanent magnet is required.   • 본 논문은 3상 유도전동기의 파라미터 측정정법과 기동특성을 제시한다. 고정자 권선저항, 구속 및 무부하시험에 의해 측정된 유도전동기 파라미터를 이용하여 전동기의 기동특성을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 또한 유도전동기 축에 스트레인 게이지를 부착하여 기동토크에 대한 특성을 실험으로 확인하고 이를 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교 분석하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.
