In this paper an efficient algorithm is proposed to remove additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) with edge preservation. A function is used to separate the filtering mask to two sets according to the direction information. Then, we calculate the mean and standard deviation of the pixels in each set. In order to preserve the details, we also compare standard deviations between the two sets to find out smaller one. Corrupted pixel is replaced by the mean of the filtering window's median value and the smaller set's mean value that the rate of change is faster than the other one. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms with significant improvement in image quality than the conventional algorithms. The proposed method removes the Gaussian noise very effectively.

In 2008, Chin et al. proposed an efficient and provable secure identity-based identification scheme in the standard model. However, we discovered a subtle flaw in the security proof which renders the proof of security useless. While no weakness has been found in the scheme itself, a scheme that is desired would be one with an accompanying proof of security. In this paper, we provide a fix to the scheme to overcome the problem without affecting the efficiency as well as a new proof of security. In particular, we show that only one extra pre-computable pairing operation should be added into the commitment phase of the identification protocol to fix the proof of security under the same hard problems.

Over the past ten years, a new knowledge-based information society is coming up with a new paradigm shifted from the Industrial Society. According to this paradigm, Korea's policies of informatization on public administration affairs are shaped and promoted by several responsible bodies, including the Ministry of Government administration and Home affairs, the National Computerization Agency, as well as central and local Governments. But most informatization actions, especially standard information system projects, have done separately by the Ministries of central government. Besides, because of the absence of informatization strategy in local governments such as cities, counties, etc., they pursue separately various informatization projects on administration affairs by divisions. It is a critical problem not to manage systematic and unified promotion of information systems policies on administration affairs in local government. As an initial attempt to tackle the problem listed above, by introducing systems thinking this paper puts an effort to find some tentative answers to solve the problem possibly raised about the impact by Standard Information System Policy on which little research has been conducted so far. The findings presented in the paper would perhaps provide some ideas and directions for further study.

The systematic classification of database technologies is being much debated issue currently in the telecommunication and database industry. Software effort estimation is one of the most difficult tasks in software development whereas predictability is also of equal importance for strategic management. Accurate prediction of the actual cost that will be incurred in software development can be very beneficial for the strategic management. This study discusses the latest trends in software estimation focusing on analogy-based techniques to show how they have improved the accuracy for software effort estimation. It applies the standard deviation technique to the expected value of analogy-based estimates to improve accuracy. In more than 60 percent cases the applied technique of this study helped in improving the accuracy of software estimation by reducing the Magnitude of Relative Error (MRE). The technique is simple and it calculates the expected value of cost or time and then uses different confidence levels which help in making more accurate commitments to the customers.

This paper presents the field strength standard established using a standard antenna method in the frequency range of 30~1000MHz at KRISS(Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science). Designs on antenna elements and a balun, and the characteristics of an antenna voltmeter are described. The uncertainties in generation the standard fields are analzed and estimated to be 5~14%.

This article addresses the problem of measuring a joint agreement between multiple raters and a standard set of responses. A new agreement measure based on Um's approach is proposed. The proposed agreement measure is used for multivariate interval responses. Comparison is made between the proposed measure and other corresponding agreement measures using hypothetical data set.

PACS is an integrated communication network system which is consists of image acquisition devices, storage archiving units, display stations, computer processors, and database management systems. In medical industry, they have been introduced the medical equipments through PACS systems based on the DICOM standard. In this paper, we have reviewed the performance of JPEG and JPEG2000 used as medical image compression and realized the transmission mode on DICOM standard.

본 논문은 8-VSB Advanced Digital TV용으로 사용할 수 있도록 ATSC(Advanced Television Standard Committee)의 규약을 만족시키도록 구현한 Reed Solomon 디코더에 대하여 기술한다. 구현된 RS Decoder는 공유된 Tree 구조의 Arithmetic 블록을 사용하여 종래의 기술보다 더 효율적인 연산기 구조를 제안하였으며 빠른 에러 탐지와 정정 시간으로 인한 FIFO의 사용갯수와 Latency Time을 크게 감소시킨 개선된 구조를 제안한다. 일반적으로 2N+A만큼의 Latency Time과 FIFO 개수를 N+A 만큼으로 감소시켰다. 이 RS 디코더는 Verilog HDL로 설계되었고 Synopsys Design Compiler에 의해 합성되었다.

As the value of B2B integration gets more importance and the business process becomes more complex, BPEL4WS standard has been focused for the solution of the problems which is based on web service technology. Many vendors implement the standard in their systems to integrate B2B and web service based inner-Enterprise Application(EA)s. But there is no way to use the standard to integrate non-web service based EAs, because the standard is designed only for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) over web services. This paper proposes Hybrid Service Orchestration Framework to participate web services and also non-web service based EAs in the business process as a partner using BPEL4WS standard. The framework introduces Hybrid Service Architecture to represent non-web service based EAs as a service, so BPEL4WS could be used to integrate web services and non-web service based EAs. And the framework also introduces Hybrid Service Toolkit to support software level facilities. The paper also introduces Hybrid Orchestration System that is based on Hybrid Service Orchestration Framework.
