  • Recently, the demand of rural tourism has been increased to promote farm household income and rural economy. Korean government has supported to promote rural tourism. One of the most difficult tasks in estimating the economic impact of the tourism industry is how the industry should be defined in terms of an economic sector, since tourism is not defined in national Input-Output (I-O) tables or in the Standard Industrial Classification code. Moreover, there is no specified Standard Industrial Classification for rural tourism. The purpose of the study aims to examine specified Standard Industrial Classification of rural tourism using the I-O model analysis to estimate the economic impacts of rural tourism. Results showed that there were two components considered as inputs. One is the inputs that final demand can move to input of rural tourism in I-O tables. The other is one that the final demand was provided by farm household as intermediate inputs.

  • In applying RFID/USN technology to various industries, it is needed to solve the problem caused by the system differences. Accordingly, this study introduces the common standard platform concept, and suggests the standard data scheme which provides the uniform perspective of classifying supply chain data and of using vocabularies. We selected several industry areas applicable for the platform, which are pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and liquor industry. We collect and organize terminologies used in the supply chain of each industry, and then classify them according to the defined data attributes. The standardized vocabularies are suggested based on the contextured scheme of data classification. This study could provide more convenient way of communication between business partners, system developers and users of the platform.

  • In the last decade many advanced home network services have been provided by construction industry, and many researches on the area have been carried out. One of the problems we are confronted with is that we do not have a standard classification scheme for home network services yet. In this paper a more stable classification scheme is suggested after comparative analysis of many different schemes in previous researches. More commonly highly attended service categories in the scheme is selected, and those are examined in terms of how commonly they are supplied by construction industry. In the later part of this paper the current home network building certification code is reviewed if the code complies with the highly attended categories in the classification scheme suggested in this paper. Some ideas to improve the current certification code is suggested by adding or optionally adding the highly attended categories.

  • The basis of economic statistics for evaluating the security industry's growth and inter-industry impacts is to create a standardized industry classification along with the scope of the security industry. The industrial classification should be written in such a way that it complies with and complies with the standards of the international and domestic standardized standard industrial classifications. Representative classifications of information security, physical security, and convergence security as well as classification of products and services related to security at present are not in line with the criteria of industrial classification based on the characteristics of production activities for products. The results of the convergence security industrial classification study are also consumer-oriented classification, which differs from the supplier-centric classification officially used in statistics, law, and policy enforcement in the present country. In this study, we first summarized the criteria of Korean and international industrial classification, and then examined whether the current classification of security meets these criteria. Next, to examine the classification directions of newly formed industries such as security industry, we reviewed some cases of domestic industrial special classification and types, and proposed the industrial classification criteria and direction of the security industry on the basis of them.

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the landscaping repair work classification, the standard for securing the independence of and establishing the scope of landscaping repair works. Standard construction specifications currently specify the landscaping repair work classification around the planting construction, while standard work estimate does not include the field of landscaping. The landscaping construction specifications and the standard work estimate in the construction industry should be, however, applied, so it is difficult to specifically understand what is the landscaping repair work classification in the cultural heritage industry. From 1961 to 1980, not only the tree planting but also a variety of landscaping facilities had been specified as the landscaping repair works, and it was found that all of these work classifications are established as the landscaping repair work classifications in the construction industry. A total of 20 work classifications were verified by comprehensively arranging those specified in notices of tender for working drawing services for cultural heritages during three years, from 2018 to 2020, except for those for the maintenance and Dancheong of architectures, plant protection and conservation. All 20 work classifications corresponded to the landscaping work classifications in the construction industry. On the basis of the landscaping work classifications in the construction industry, this study divided the landscaping repair work classifications into site-building and shaping, planting work, facility construction, paving work, ecological landscape architectural construction and vegetation maintenance, by considering the specialty of cultural heritage space.

  • Radiation and radioisotopes have a high value in terms of utilization that can be used in convergence with various fields. However, due to the specificity of radiation, the use of radiation and radioisotopes is more difficult than in other industrial fields and also involves complex regulations. There are no clear industrial technology standards in these fields. Therefore, the growth of the radiation industry, especially including small companies, is being delayed. Since industrial technology standards play an important role in providing an institutional basis for the continuous development and settlement of domestic technology, the development of technical standards for the radiation and radioisotope industries can lead to systematic growth of the domestic radiation industry. To this end, the technology classification of the radiation industry was promoted and classified into 7 major categories, and detailed classification was divided according to the characteristics of each technology. In addition, a demand and perception survey on the need for industrial technology standards was conducted on RI licensed institutions and companies, and as a result, 61.4% responded that it was necessary, and in particular, they recognized the need for radiation safety(63.3%). In this paper, the technical classification for the radiation field is presented as the first step in the development of industrial technical standards for the radiation industry. In addition, the plan of the current status information and preparation of standard procedures of each category will be discussed.

  • The 5th revision of Korean Classification of Diseases(KCD) became effective on January 1, 2008. It has reflected the changes made to the tenth revision of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) between 1998 and 2005 and the suggestions of academic and related societies in Korea. Two important alterations seem to have a major implication in the insurance industry. One would be the official introduction of a Korean version of International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, third edition(ICD-O-3). The borderline ovarian tumor is classified as a borderline neoplasm, which was classified as a malignant neoplasm in the previous edition of International Classification of Diseases for Oncology. The other would be the appearance of non-C-code malignant neoplasm for the diseases, such as polycythemia vera, newly classified as a malignant neoplasm by the current edition of International Classification of Diseases for Oncology. The National Office of Statistics(NSO) adopted the way of implementation used in the Australian Modification of International Classification of Diseases(ICD-10-AM), instead of assigning them into corresponding C code. Overall, the changes made in this revision doesn't seem to have a serious impact on the insurance industry since it has only reflected updates made to ICD-10.
