In this paper, we investigate the main components of stray load loss of induction motors for ammonia compressors. The variations of the losses at each part of the motor due to load are calculated by the combined 3-D-2D finite element method formulated by the mixed moving coordinate systems. The stray load loss is calculated from these results due the definition of IEEE standard-112. It is clarified that the core loss and the eddy current loss of the can increase due to load, which can be considered as the main part of the stray load loss.

The objectives of this study are : 1) To clarify the definition of conspicuous consumption. 2) To examine the degree of conspicuous consumption amongst urban housewives. In this research conspicuous consumption is defined as the use and acquisition of goods and services to ostentatiously display wealty with the purpose of establishing or sustaning a status through the symbolic values of goods and services, The data used in this study included 670 housewives living in Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were frequencies means standard deviation and one-way anova. The research results can be summarized as follows. First the propensity for conspicuous consumption differs significantly according to wife's age wife's education and husband's job. Second the propensity for conspicuous consumption in high quality and high price preference is high, And the propensity for conspicuous consumption in house and furniture is high.

Purpose : The aim of present study is to estimate the relationship among reference lines used for taking the extraoral radiography and panoramic radiography. Materials and Methods: Lateral cephalographs of 40 adults, aged 22 to 30 years were taken. Angles between reference lines (Frankfort line, canthomeatal line, infraorbitomeatal line, and occlusal plane) were measured. Results: Angles between Frankfort line and canthomeatal line, Frankfort line and infraorbitomeatal line, Frankfort line and occlusal plane, canthomeatal line and infraorbitomeatal line, canthomeatal line and occlusal plane, and infraorbitomeatal line and occlusal plane were 16.1° (±2.2), 5.8° (±2.4), 8.7° (±3.5), 10.3° (±1.3), 24.8° (±4.0), and 14.5° (±4.4),respectively. Conclusion: Angle between frankfort and canthomeatal line is very different with commonly known angle. Frankfort horizontal reference lines used for panoramic radiography need an exact definition and more accurate standard is needed for the taking of panoramic radiograph.

This paper presents a composite luminance signal processing system for NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. Eaxh of the three standards employs its own specifications of subcarmier bandwidth and luminance signal waveform. The proposed system, compatible to the specifications of the three standard and B/W TV, implements variable freqneucy characteristics by controlling filter coefficients. The major features of the system are a luminance/chroma separation unit and an aperture compensation unit. The luminance/chroma separation unit employes a notch filter selection a trap freqneyc to atenuate unwanted color signals in luminance signal bands. The aperture compensation unit comprises two subunits, to provide clear color definition for each of the three standards: a primary compensation circuit and a variable compensation circuits. The proposed system yields a 40 dB gain from the chroma/luminance separation and a 10 dB gain from the aperture compensation unit.

A bond graph modeling approach which is equivalent to a finite element method is formulated in the case of the piezoelectric thickness vibrator. This formulation suggests a new definition of the generalized displacements for a continuous system as well as the piezoelectric thickness vibrator. The newly defined coordinates are illustrated to be easily interpreted physically and easily used in analysis of the system performance. Compared to the Mason equivalent circuit model, the bond graph model offers the primary advantage of physical realizability. Compared to circuit models based on standard discrete electrical elements, the main advantage of the bond graph model is a greater physical accuracy because of the use of multiport energic elements. While results are presented here for the thickness vibrator, the modeling method presented is general in scope and can be applied to arbitrary physical systems.

A nursing activity classification for hospitalized patients was performed based on an article review regarding nursing definition and nursing activity classification system. The study was conducted as follows: 1) Taxonomy was developed by the research team through the Delphi process and review article. The taxonomy consists of four nursing processes, (assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation) and twelve nursing activity domains space (resperation, nutrition, elimination, exercise/alignment maintenance, comfort, hygiene, safety, spiritual support, counseling/ education, medication, communication, patient and information management). 2) First, nursing activities of the intervention process were listed and then classified by the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. The list consists of twelve nursing activity domains and 136 nursing activities. 3) A pilot study was conducted in two hospitals to verify validity and appropriateness of nursing activities. 4) The content validity index, which was calculated by 6 clinical practice experts, was 0.95. Also, a nursing activity classification system should also be developed in the department of community nursing and home health care nursing.

The CMIP(Common Management Information Protocol) and SNMP(Simple Network Management Network) are the two major network management protocols, Which nee to be integrated. Since the networks need to be managed in a uniform way, the CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) NE View is to develop as a Standard in the ATM Forum For the TMN management structure to integrate these two protocols. In this paper, the function classes are defined to develop the gateway for efficient subnetwork management. The function classes are defined based on the analysis of EMS functions which are mainly network management design of the TMN structure. Also, the object models of the SMI)(Structure of Management Information) in SNMP and the GDMO(Guidelines for the Definition of Managed Objects) in CMIP are developed way direct translation and abstract translation. The integrated management system design, information model translation of EMS using classdefinition, is efficient is efficient method to interconnect CORBA/SNMP and CORBA/CMIP.

As a bridge between design and manufacturing, process planning is to generate a sequenced set of instructions to manufacture the specified part. Automatic interpretation of manufacturing information incorporated in the design documentation such as CAD file has been a knotty subject for manufacturing engineers since no current data exchange format for product data provides a perfect interface between heterogeneous systems. The recent neutral data exchange format STEp, standard for the exchange of product model data, includes not only geometry but also technical and managerial information. STEP AP(Application Protocol) 224 is specifically dedicated to the mechanical product definition for process planning using machining features. Given a design information in STEP AP 224 format, process planning can be made without human intervention. This paper describes a method to determine the sequence of machining features by using the machining features and the manufacturing information expressed in STEP AP224.

고화질 프로젝션 TV에서 광학부품들이 가격 및 성능면에서 경쟁력을 갖춘 최적의 시스템을 설정하고, 그로부터 현재 방송규격인 NTSC 및 향후에 시행될 HDTV에 공용적용할 투사렌즈를 설계 개발하였다. 3차 수차가 모두 보정된 초기설계치, 프라스틱 렌즈의 비구면화, 공차 및 제작성을 고려한 최적화 설계, 그리고 온도보상등의 과정을 통해 설계 제작된 렌즈의 구현가능한 화면크기는 40∼55인치, 해상도는 1000TV-line 이상이다.

본 논문에서는 UHD (Ultra High Definition) 방송의 비디오 표준인 HEVC 에서 슬라이스 에러가 발생하는 시나리오에 대한 UHD 방송 시험 스트림을 제안한다. 제안 스트림은 개발한 여러 슬라이스 에러 스트림 항목 중 슬라이스 경계를 정의한 slice_segment_address, end_of_slice_segment_flag 신택스의 에러 시나리오에 따라 제작하였으며, 제작된 스트림을 현재 판매되고 있는 UHD 수신기에 재생하여 결과를 확인하였다.
